I've seen an entire set in person (this past weekend) and there was no COA. There is a sku # on the inside of the box, underneath the pins, on a white sticker type thing. The SKU #s are also on the individual pins (at least the ones I've seen.)

It's kind of depressing! :( I like having the COAs with my other sets. It might be nice to display them with someday.

Gotcha. That's exactly what my set is like. I wonder why no COA this time?


I am happy to report that my set does not feature the snow white prince error. But my Ariel seems to have two spots of black (stain almost.) On her hair. :/ and Flynn seems to have some extra enamel on his arm that pokes up (I thought it was a chip at first, minor heart attack). Kind of disappointing after my DP princesses and villains do not have these problems. Still, they are so pretty! If we don't have pictures by then, I will take pictures of all my sets together on Sunday.

This was a loop hole to make more pins than the 250, the reason I know is because this happened in the park with the LE 100 Autopia painting. That one sold out than another LE came out. After talking to the managers they told me the made more with a certificate with excuses a reprint with a edition size since the last one was not made this way. Who knows maybe 250 went on sale that night on ds and we can't ever know 100% for sure. 500 sets could be out there it's actually a genius plan since its virtually impossible to combine all sets and count how many are really out there.

There is no separate insert inside the box. But, the outer bottom serves as an authentication I think. Look at the bottom of your box. It is printed on black with Gold. The first circle says "Exclusive - Original - Authentic". Next to it there is the Mickey Head Pin Trading Logo with 2013 stamped. And under it is written: Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, Limited Edition 250"

So, the edition size is fixed at 250. Or at least, that is what I understand.
 
I'm working on pictures of all of the sets right now. If you guys want any specific pictures (such as a certain two pins beside each other), let me know now!
 
I'm in the process of fitting them ALL on my scanner together, but here are these for now. I threw a quarter in there as a size comparison. All of the in-box images were scanned at the same DPI (so you can compare sizes between images). I have larger versions of the first three is anyone wants/needs them. It'll just take a bit to upload because of the size.

Original Princesses in box (my scanner went all funky with Pocahontas' skin tone. her colors are not actually like that.):

Wow! Thank you for all of the comparison pictures! It's interesting that the 2011 Designer Princess pins really do appear to be in a slightly bigger scale than the other two sets.
 
Wow! Thank you for posting this... With designer couples being an LE 250 and now it being smaller than the other two I am disappointed :( I was hoping these pins were larger not smaller... :facepalm: Now I really am questioning the inflated value for sure!

But it seems that Rapunzel and Flynn are the smallest from the set :( They are stunning in person! Really! Although Flynn's face is a bit questionable :lol:

Thats a whole other story, his eyebrows... What were they thinking??? :( sometimes I wish I was on the pin designing team just to point out things like that when the Pre Production samples are shown to the artists. Some of the screening seems to have worked nicely and in others it didn't do to well :( I love the screening on Jasmine the most I think. And looking closer at the set as a whole I am thinking the Belle and Beast pin is Stunning!!!!
 
I didn't even notice how small Rapunzel and Flynn look next to Jasmine and Aladdin! Wow! I would agree that some of the faces on the fairytale set are well... derp, for lack of a better word. Aladdin and Jasmine are gorgeous though, and hands-down my favorite pin in the set. While they are all really pretty in person, I do wish they had kept with the same art style as the original designer sets. I think those sets just look better overall.
 
This has been one of my complaints about how Disney sizes their sets. They measure from the farthest point of the design (for Rapunzel couple that's the top of the lantern) to the lowest point. As a result while they all have the same measurement, the are not all the same size. I wish they would make the characters the same size regardless of the design.

hehehe!! My Flynn looks better than Rapunzel :lol: Her makeup paint is not the best paint job, unfortunately. Still, it's not too bad, but for the price this set was selling for they should have done a better job in Q.C.

It's nice to know that Jasmine and Aladdin are your favorite from the set! And I am really happy that they are bigger than I thought. My favorite thing about them is their pose. I just love how they are the only couple facing each other. And Jasmine is the second one to be holding something on her hand, (with Rapunzel being the other Princess) and how they are holding hands! :wat: awww!

I couldn't agree more! The pins and the lithographs for this collection are pretty, of course, but they already started out with inflated retail prices which don't make a whole lot of sense to me. The fact that the pins within the DFDC pin collection are not the same scale (re: Rapunzel/Flynn < Ariel/Eric & Belle & Beast < Snow White/The Prince & Jasmine & Aladdin) does make this collection less desirable than the other two Designer pin sets, where all of the pins appear to be more or less in the same scale. The inflated reselling prices are just ridiculous.
 
wow, i cant belive how small rapunzel and flynn are! As much as i really want this set seeing the size difference has really definenlty made me happier to hold off for a while! focuas on getting the dolls first then do some overtime at work before buying the set on pins!!
Still dispite all there flaws I bet these pins are still stunning in person!!
