Aloha Traders,

I recently bit into the lollipop of magic and my sugar rush addiction kicked in. I completely understand now why people collect vanellope. This post is mainly to declare my new found self. Why do you collect Sugar Rush or WIR in general?

From dvd release day, I LOVE vanellope. Since then I have seen the movie about 20 times. Its amazing. All I have merch wise is scented plushies of Taffy and Minty as I was too late for Vanellope merch (it was all gone within disney uk before the dvd came out) I would love a pin... Maybe one day hehe

Oh and I would love to collect from it (one day I will start on van stuff) because I love sweeties, pink and sparkles and also because I LOVE arcade games. Not to mention I think the movie is really good. Had me laughing and crying more than once. Vanellope is just adoreable... Kind, wacky and stubborn (just like me hehe)

i collect wreck it ralph pins which I got last year at disneyland which was lucky as there wasn't a lot of collectors then it was easy trading for them but now its so hard getting people to trade the pins
Here's my collection so far

WIR is such an awesome movie. My whole family loves video games and since I grew up in the 80s/90s the games referenced in the movie are close to my heart. I also love the overall message of the movie. When I first saw it my daughter had just been evaluated and we learned she was on the autism spectrum. I was having a really hard time with it and I was so scared for her. From the first trailer I saw, Vanellope reminded me of my daughter because they kind of look alike and their names rhyme. (Her name is Penelope) So, not to be corny, but Vanellope's story was a reminder that we are who we are and God makes us that way for a reason. I think it's a great message for everyone and one that I desperately needed at that time. I don't want to give too much away in case anyone reading this hasn't seen the movie, but hopefully you get what I mean. :)

I love Wreck-it Ralph because not only is it about video games, but retro video games as well as new! I am also a huge fan of kart racing games, I love to race... even in Disney Infinity recently! And you have to love the soundtrack to the film!

I feel sorry for Vanellope, but I am going to explain why I prefer another character...

King Candy has become my favourite Disney movie character. I only collect pins of him from the movie as collecting all the WiR pins would be too expensive for me. I really think he's a very interesting character; he's actually very well thought out and a lot deeper than you would expect at first. I know he was pretty mean but I do feel sorry for him, I dunno if anyone else here can understand how powerful jealousy can get... but I can unfortunately... its something I'm trying to combat; its a horrible emotion. Not that I'd go hack a video game though! lol So I do feel sorry for Turbo, I think by the time of the actual movie it had consumed him. I know in one draft they were going to have King Candy reform at the end of the movie... but decided to have him defeated instead.

Man if they had him reform he could be in Wreck-it Ralph 2... ahhhhh! I want King Candy back for the sequel!!!! Annnnnd just gotta say though his Boss Form is the coolest Disney Villain end form ever! The first time I saw that scene I was just like... wow... awesome... Oh and the fact he's actually veeeeeeery intelligent too... he taught himself code after all... and he's a racer... I love racing! Zoooooom!

I love ALL of Wreck-It Ralph, not just the Sugar Rush gang, though they are super cute. I, like many above, grew up in the 80s/90s, so all the video game references are very nostalgic for me...even just general arcade stuff. I have many memories of me and my friends all crowded around one machine, while we watch to see if someone is going to make it to the next level, haha. There used to be a Pac-man machine in my family's favorite hole-in-the-wall pizza place too and I loved to play it while we waited for the pizza or after while the adults were still talking.

The movie itself has so many layers, which I really enjoy. And it has those great Disney jokes that work for kids and adults without offending or confusing anyone.

Candlehead is my favorite from the Sugar Rush gang. She's cute and her name is hysterical.

Welcome to the WIR team! :)

80s!! Whoooo! One of the best decades! Well okay I was born in '86 so only have a few fleeting memories of it... but I just love the 80s decade in a general sense. lol :D Loved the references too.

Yeah, I was born in '84, so those were my little kid years, BUT, we all know that the early '90s really didn't change much. You really needed to be born in the '70s to GROW UP in the '80s.

Like Melanium, I too have great memories of going to an arcade to play video games, especially Pac-Man and Pole Position! Then having pizza. The good old days!
That's why I like this movie.
