Yeah, when you go to the website, and you wanna check your own collection, the site still shows up, and there's a message on top, saying they'll be changing sites soon and stuff.
And then when I enter my own name to view my collection, I get the error page.

I'm also having a similar error when I went to try and edit my wants list.

I was getting that message yesterday, but I could access the entire site. Now I can't get onto anything.

The switchover to the new site was supposed to happen last week, so that must be what's happening now ...right in the middle of the PTE :banghead:

I'm a bit confused. It almost seems as if pinpics won't allow us to have links anymore under our avatars...
measage from pinpics on pintalk:
With the launch of the new site, PinPics and Pin Trading take a big step forward hand in hand. It has always been the primary focus of PinPics.com to further the hobby and provide accurate information for new and seasoned collectors alike. There is a shared sense of responsibility that we sincerely embrace and the PinPics staff have worked tirelessly over the past 13 years to preserve the integrity of the site and the hobby as a whole.

It is that same principal that led us to the decision to disable all links to our site from third party sources. PinPics will not affiliate itself with any site that is not family friendly and welcoming, the very foundation of pin trading. PinPics will remain a resource for the community and together we can work to maintain and perpetuate pin trading and collecting into a new era.

We recognize the importance of other pin sites and the role that they play in the community as well. For that reason PinPics has extended an invitation to site owners and administrators to contact PinPics directly to discuss ways to work together for the good of the hobby and the community. This opportunity is open to all fan sites and it's staff indefinitely.

As a site made up of members that cherish the magic of Disney, it is our commitment to our members to uphold that same environment at all times while providing a safe a magical place shared by all on line.

Sincerely,
PinPics

@ Crushedbubbles - That might mean sites along the lines of EBay, which has been part of their previous case about people using PinPics pictures and listing information without permission

Since members are most times part of more than one fan site, and we have already seen that the mods here have been in communication with the PinPics people previously (say that 5 times fast, LOL), I do not think we would have anything to worry about.

Ahh okay. Thank you for clearing that up. I got a bit confused and was a bit worried.

As stated in the message quoted above, site owners and administrators were contacted about creating the links to the new site.

They have revamped the site and are offering a premium service for $$. Anyone any idea if the normal system will still work as always without paying anything?
