I am sorry about the damaged box! Completely unacceptable, I really hope they can resolve this for you! I am so concerned with the shipping on these dolls.
 
I haven't gotten a shipping e-mail yet either, is that bad? I mean, I ordered them both before 3:05 (5 minutes after they were put online) so if I somehow don't get one, I'll be quite shocked O___O

I finished my order at 2:07 and mine is still showing active, so I'm sure you'll definitely get them! I just don't think they've finished processing the orders for shipping yet! :)
 
Wow. My friend in Hawaii ordered TWO Ariel dolls, just in case one got damaged, (she is a stickler for condition), and they both arrived like this:

I doubt they will be able to find replacements. :/ This is outrageous. The way they ship these dolls is absolutely unacceptable.
That is terrible! If Disney doesn't rectify the situation, I wonder if your friend could purchase a box off a deboxer? You shouldn't have to do that if Disney would just do better job of packaging dolls, especially those sent via airplane.
 
I wouldn't worry too much, I ordered some mugs online on the 27th of Sept and they only shipped now. I think with the huge fiasco of getting Ariel out the warehouse might have a bit of backlog on getting orders shipped out. But we should be expecting them to sent out tomorrow and Friday.

I noticed as well that my order has the status says the following:

Order Status: Active

Yeah - as I was heading down to London to get my set - the train broke down - so I got some online - panic bought - in case the store had sold out. But when I got to London they had loads left and myself and partner picked our ones we liked - and by that time we couldn't cancel our online transactions

Polaris, mine said the same thing. Yesterday I checked like every hour on the hour and it just said "Active". After work today, I checked and almost had a bit of a panic attack when they said they weren't "connected to the warehouse". I went for a run, got back, checked, and now it still says "Active" and nothing about the warehouse. Hopefully, if they were to cancel orders, they have cancelled them and sent out those emails already.
I swear, Ursula is barely in my top 5 villains and it's driving me insane hoping that I get her. This time next year, if Maleficent it truly FINALLY released...I'm going to be a nervous wreck. I will be online...on my phone...while waiting outside...with a group of people just so I can place an order online and buy in store. I'll probably end up with 3 or 4...but at least I'll have 1 and can just sell the rest (at cost) to members here. Don't even get me started if they decide to release the Queen!

Thanks Mali, it's good to hear that it is not on just my order as I feared that something may have gone wrong but it just looks like they are getting onto it at the warehouse. Hopefully that just means that they will be shipping them out over the next day or two then! So excited!!

I am always checking the status of my orders online and that message almost always appears on the order summaries. As long as your order is Active and the order amount on the upper-right hand side reflects the full amount of the items plus tax and/or shipping, you are fine. They just have not shipped the item(s) yet. Alternatively, if it says the order is Closed and you have a shipping tracking number, you are also good to go as at least the item(s) have been shipped or at least are in that process. Anything outside of these scenarios and I would be nervous.
 
I just received the coupon from Disney Store--$20 off $40 order or $10 off any order. Good through Oct. 14th. As if I have any money left to spend, Disney. This coupon would make an It's a Small World doll more affordable. Hmmmm

I got that email too, was thinking about buying the art of ariel plate which is in sale for $50 now

If you can afford to get the one from the D23 expo try and get that one instead as that one looks amazing and I believe has a nicer design than the current one on sale at Disney Store.

Question: For those of you who pre-ordered The Little Mermaid movie, have you received it yet? I still have not gotten mine.

Yes I received mine when I received my Ariel doll earlier in the week.

I ordered Eric and Ursula online, and the status still says "ACTIVE." How do you actually TRACK the dang package? I can see the order, but not where it is.

Oh, and the BatB that a more-distant Disney Store said they'd ship? The employee (whom I now platonically love), said that, while she has no bubble paper, she's going to really line the box with just about everything she has.

"Have a Magical Day" really means something to some employees! You can imagine how positively giddy I was talking to her!
 
For some odd reason they shipped the movie and doll seperately. I got my doll, which I was hoping to get first and I am grateful I did, but the the package with the BlueRay and lithos still has not arrived. So odd since they were shipped the same day.
 
Even with all the trouble I had about their shipping order to wrong location, I received both doll and Bluray/lithos same day: Tuesday. In my case, the Bluray/lithos were second shipment because first one was deemed undeliverable (that happens when you send things to wrong address, Disney) and sent back to warehouse in TN. They were shipped separately. Since the Bluray wasn't even packaged with Ariel, I don't really understand why they went with USPS (for the doll) over UPS.

Also, USPS tracking isn't updated too often. It could be in your area right now, and you won't know until you find it in your box. There was absolutely no tracking, in my case, for days and then both just showed up on doorstep. It may also have been lost. I don't know what state you live in, but it seems weird you received doll (also shipped USPS) before the smaller package. At least they can send you another Bluray and lithos easier than a sold out doll. Hope it comes soon!

Whilst your order states that it is active it just means that they are still processing it, the stauts should change to Closed once they ship it which means that they will give you a tracking number as well when they do so. So as of right now your item has not been shipped yet. The tracking number will appear to the right of the item description in the order details.

I am overseas so when they shipped the doll they also shipped the bluray through UPS maybe for the domestic orders they used UPS for the doll and USPS for the bluray as mentioned by others on the forum. That probably explains why I got both of mine at the same time as UPS is a courier service whereas USPS is just the normal postal service so may take longer to get to you than if they had sent it with UPS.
 
I have a question and I know it's a bit early but what diamond edition is next year ? I've heard sleeping beauty but others have said aladdin something about aladdins anniversary skipped so they are doing it next year? Can some one help me out would be most appreciated? My friend is a due hard sleeping beauty fan and I live aladdin so we want to be able to budget for what we want to buy. So is it sleeping beauty or aladdin? Lol
 
Finally got my Ariel, she is beautiful! I was so scared because there was really no updates to the tracking info once it went past my town and to the other coast, but finally this morning it seemed to update all it once that it was shipped to my town, processed, and out for delivery, and by the time I got home she was waiting on my porch. She is in the 4000s (forget the exact number for now) which is okay. My only qualm was that the lower section of the inner box (the one that the stand is attached to) is sort of bent upwards a bit, probably because of the dolls weight. Does anyone have suggestions for maybe straightening it a bit, but safely?

I was so worried it would be lost forever! I got my blu-ray on Monday (a full day before the release!) but had not received any USPS updates for the doll for days on end, not to mention it didn't even "start" in TN, it just randomly updated to Jacksonville on Friday and then Brandenton, FL on Monday. If you haven't gotten her yet, don't give up hope!

Next year is supposed to be Sleeping Beauty it has always been planned for the 2014 release however it has not been confirmed yet, I would assume it would still be Sleeping Beauty since the live action movie Maleficent is due to come out next year as well. So my best guess that whilst it is still not confirmed there is a strong chance it will be Sleeping Beauty next year and possibly Aladdin the following year.
