Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I have to say, the 17" dolls are HUGE! Anna (that's all that came in) is so pretty, I'm thinking that maybe I should get a 17" wedding rapunzel....

That is one of the reasons I love the 17" dolls so much. They are so big and the details on them are incredible! :)

Well, my extra Anna and Elsa came and I am SO thankful that I went to the store that morning and bought them!!!! The Anna that was sent to me came damaged!!!! Her box had a huge dent in the front and from thrat, the plastic in front was cracked!!!!!! They need to really ship these dolls with more protection!! I will more than likely, always go to the store from now on to make my purchase for the LE dolls.........I called the DS.com and they refunded me and sent a $20 gift card.....again, I'm so thankful that I already had an Anna!! Elsa came fine, no damage:/

I do find it extremely strange that my lower end Disney dolls come better packaged--balloons of air to cushion them--than the expensive limited edition dolls, which come with a layer of . . . tissue paper. Yeah, that will keep expensive dolls from damage. At least the 12" Fairytale sets were double boxed.

Yay! i'm happy to know Anna looks pretty, I thought she looked gorgeous to me. I don't get mine till Christmas, and for someone who has the 17" Wedding Rapunzel I think you should get her. Shes very pretty, and I even made a bouquet of flowers for her to hold, which I do think she should have had to begin with. Still, I love her and her dress is lovely from the front to the detail on the back.

I'm jealous that you've received a reply. My box came damaged as well and I still haven't gotten anything. I keep messaging them and they keep asking for pictures and I'm getting really peeved at this point!

I strongly recommend that you take a few detailed photographs of the damages and send them to them with a very detailed e-mail of the damages and how it ruins your satisfaction with the product and their packing and shipping methods. Also lay it on as thick as you can about how the damages ruin the collectible value of the item, which cannot even be replaced. Unfortunately, this is probably the best way of getting their attention and forcing their way to address your case... :( This is totally a case that if you are too reserved or not aggressive enough, they will have a tendency to brush you off.

May I ask who you spoke with?

Im hoping for LE Anna and ELsa in SNow Gear/Coronation outfit too ^_^! I'd love a LE Kristoff too, i think i'd pass on a Hans though :)

Okay, update on friend's Anna doll. IT CAME....but it is DAMAGED (box has a tear)!!! Called this morning and, of course, no replacement Anna or Elsa dolls to be had. Said had to be returned for a full refund, no proportional discount/refund but wants pictures. So, we will see.

This is what we will be doing. Need to use digital camera to take pictures because camera phone doesn't take pictures well at all.

Oh that is all sorts of wrong! They should at least offer a partial refund for that or an online gift card for some amount. Now they are just trying to strong-arm your friend, especially since there are no replacement dolls to be exchanged. There is no reason to send the doll back for a full refund. Ugh! Don't be afraid to reference the cases of other friends (i.e. DPF members) who did get a partial refund or an online gift card for whatever amount. The DS customer service should be treating everyone the same (though obviously they never do).

Wow! I agree. They have given $10-$20 GC for damages before haven't they? I think Disney needs to develop a different protocol for limited edition items. They sell enough of them that it seems warranted.

I'm holding out for Snow Gear Anna AND Coronation Elsa... I don't think they would justify doing one and not the other.

Even though it would hurt my wallet I am hoping for the same for the DVD/Blu-ray release. I think it would be weird to do one sister and not the other as well. I think Snow Gear Anna would be more detailed though so if I had to choose it would be Anna.

I am reallllllly looking forward to an Aurora doll though in the fall. I watched that movie so much as a kid I literally wore out the VHS. I hope if they do a Prince Phillip they make the box taller so the top of his head doesn't get cut off like Eric's does when displaying in the box.

I don't like the idea of coronation Elsa because that's not who she is. That was a representation of her repression, before she "let it go". And a LE snow outfit? It's not very regal.

I don't really think the alternate outfits are necessary, though I can agree that the coronation Elsa would be beautiful. It's just that I feel awful for the character when she's dressed like that.

I'd rather a LE Kristoff or Hans (who might be dressed a little too similarly to Eric for that to happen).

No! Give us DAC Kristoff instead!

Limited Edition Anna and Kristoff would definitely be at the top of my list. We need Anna in her signature outfit, and I am really loving the idea of more Male Limited Edition dolls. XD

Indeed! The worst is when the shipper box is in perfect condition, but the doll box within is all messed up (as you mentioned with your LE Ursula doll in the other thread), because that totally means that DS is selling and sending defective and damaged merchandise to us. They do not have any quality inspections for items sold direct from DS.com with the LE or Designer dolls, as the dolls are packed in the factory and sent to the warehouse already sealed and then sent to us. So what we're looking at is exactly how the item looked when it was packed in the factory, especially if the shipper boxes are in perfect, undamaged condition... So due to their own lack of a quality control check system at the warehouse, DS should be held accountable when receive items in this particular state.

It's a different story if the shipper box is also damaged or trashed: that is a UPS handling problem, which based on the reports here, also happens a lot.

It still strikes me as incredibly weird that they say they cannot just issue replacement doll boxes (I tried with LE Cinderella). We all know that more than x-number of boxes were made and there are a bunch sitting around unused somewhere. It's not like we're asking for new dolls or CoAs. We just want clean, complete doll boxes! :(

DAC Kristoff!!!!!

I think Id really like snow gear anna and kristoff LE, while coronation elsa is beautiful I have the same problem as Quasi, "thats now who she really is!" But knowing me Id get them all anyways ^^;

Ahh I know its a minor spoiler but can you please warn people! LOL I am just about to see the movie and have managed to stay away from any thread relating to Frozen so would appreciate it if we stayed specifically to the LE Doll topic with this one or at least state when spoilers about the plot line will be mentioned!

I do agree that it is less likely to have an LE Elsa in her coronation dress than it would be to get an Anna in her snow gear, especially if they just decide to release one doll since the snow gear outfit is her signature look. However based on the current sales of the LE dolls Elsa really was the more popular doll compared to Anna and I would say that that is because of the dress and her look? Also it would give us something to match our current versions of Anna and Elsa against because right now it is odd how one is in their coronation outfit and the other is not.

I do also like the idea of having more male LE dolls it would be cool if they did release three dolls in spring next year so Anna in Snow Gear, Elsa in Coronation gear and Kristoff which is possible as the doll releases are generally based on events and I would imagine the release of Frozen on blu-ray would warrant such a release.

A male DAC would be interesting but they would probably just give them plastic hair...still I guess it would look ok, still confused about the DAC line as they also release toddler dolls which is technically different to the DAC line but are packaged almost the same? I also noticed that Disney Store finally released Mulan and Tiana too.

Going back to the topic about the missing and damaged LE dolls I really think we should all get onto Disney to sort this out as this is just not acceptable, they cannot treat us this way and keep providing us with damaged stock. If this happened with most businesses they would go bust, the fact that a majority of people had their dolls lost or damaged is just a joke especially with how much we are paying for these items. The fact that they haven't even released an apology online or mentioned anything about it is what annoys me more.

It makes me think that they are just being arrogant in that we will still buy their products even if they keep treating us in an unacceptable manner, it really is a joke, they are a billion dollar company taking advantage of individual people. Most of whom probably does not even earn 1% of what Disney earns in 1 day!

I looked at the shipping box but did not see any noticeable damage. Plus, it's hard to imagine that a tear in the box would occur mid-shipment so I suspect it was already in the box damaged. I will see about inquiring about a replacement doll box (only needs the top cover!) The email to Disney is already 800 words long! Just say NO to gift card but a steep discount for the damaged box would be fine! Hoping they offer at least 1/3 off :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! :) I will be completely surprised if they manage to produce a replacement box, but that would be of course the most satisfactory solution. Even with a partial refund or online GC, it never makes up for looking at a busted doll box! I'm normally one who hates having to complain and make demands, but in the past year (since LE Cinderella), the frequency on my contact with them has increased quite a bit!

Before seeing the movie, totally totally agreed with the major want and desire for a coronation Elsa doll surprise/additional release. I mean, she is so powerful and just stunning. But, after those scenes(...and getting all teary eyed and heartbroken), I totally agree. I can't even listen to the "Do you wanna build a snowman" song without getting a little choked up. But everything about the song and scene for "Let it Go", good God I love it. I just adore my Elsa doll exactly the way she is. ;) <3
