Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
So I finally got to my local Disney store (which is an hour away) and did three laps of the shop before I realised that the Frozen merch was just a single side of one of those wee units and there was only dressing up, a couple plates and a stationary set. There was a pillar of Anna toddler dolls and the Kristoff plush but he was hidden in amongst the Mary Poppins plushes :/ I was gutted. Not a single piece of Elsa or Olaf merchandise to be seen. I really wanted the organiser Jennisney had posted so I thought there was no harm in asking. The girl reluctantly went to check and reappeared five minutes later with 3 organisers and a tray of lipglosses. I grabbed both lol. And bought a reusable bag but I was so sad to miss out on the Sven plush :( so my search of merch wasn't as great as I had hoped.

its CRAZY!! I went to te nearest disney store to me last week when I was at my parents and they had Kristoff Plush, Stamp set, Lipglosses, kids dresses/clothes and toddler dolls!

Its mad. I only wanted the Sven plush and the organiser. I sooo grudge buying online!

It's unfortunate they were still sold out on the day you ventured on your merch-search, but it will restock one day. My stores have most stuff in again. Both singing dolls, both toddler girls, and singing Olaf. Probably even more, but that's all I noticed (since I'm not on the hunt for anything aside from animator Kristoff right now). And my stores were a WASTELAND right after Christmas.

Hi Quasimodo, did your store just get the singing dolls back in or have they been there for a while. I live in the U.S. and I REALLY want to get the the Elsa singing doll, but I don't want to buy one on ebay for $75 if I only have to wait until they restock them.

EVERYTHING Frozen was sold out during the holidays. Disney Store has also said on their FB that they'll restock, so don't resort to eBay just yet :)

I know at least 2 of my local stores have restocked the singing dolls this week (I have 5 + 1 outlet).

Wait, so the new dolls probabky get released in March on the online UK Store?

Yep that is right, the UK does not do preorders therefore they should be releasing it the same time that the dolls are expected to be released in the US which is around the Bluray release of Mar 18. That is not confirmed yet but is the most likely date for the dolls to be released.

We should have the confirmed dates by next week when the dolls are released for preorder in the US.

Also the 500 units to the Euro market is quite a lot and I think you will be fine so long as if you are on the site the day of release ready to buy the doll. The last time the Euro market got 1000 of each doll and it sat online for almost a week before selling out, some are saying that there was even the possibility that some was shipped back to the US to make up for the lost dolls but I dont think that was the case. I think the Euro market has grown but not by that much which is reflected by the slower sales of LE stock.

The great thing I find about the Euro market is that most people that buy the dolls are just collectors as there is not much of a secondary market in the UK as a result it is not usually a mad rush to get at these dolls as you are not competing with scalpers to get these dolls.

Oh great, thank you Polaris! I wasn't around for the previous doll releases, I thought they would sell out on the first day or something. I feel better now lol, gives me more time to save up for both of the dolls. :D

What a bummer. Im sure they got wiped out from the Holidays, and then after as people used gift cards they received. Im sure they will be restocking soon. I hope so.

I want the kristoff animator doll and the 11" one. I will have to wait until I can spend £50 to get free postage!
Right now I just need to get Kristoff from the store as well.

No worries, that being said though don't get complacent as you never know how the market will respond to these releases. I still recommend buyin the doll straight away as soon as it is released and not having second thoughts about buying it. The way I see it it is easier to buy the doll then not want it later rather than miss out on buying the doll and then wanting it later. There are always people out there that will want the dolls so it is easy to find it a new home later. It is a lot harder to get it later should you decide you want it.

Still think its a little bit unfair the whole of Europe just gets 500 dolls of each. There are a lot mot people living in Europe than in USA. :) But thats just the way it is i guess. The price of the dolls at disneystore.se (swedish online store, we dont have any regular stores here) is almost double compared to USA though so Im hoping less will have the money to buy them here so I hope I will get one of each in march. Good thing i will have a few months to save up for them :)

Not sure about the population between North America and Europe and which is bigger but dont forget the US store sells to the whole world (including the Euro market) and not just North America.

Hi Mary! Good to see you back!

i am not sure about another Harrods set as the original was released to commemorate the opening of the Disney store within Harrods. Also the original Harrods set is still available so releasing another would just canibalise the sales of the remaining sets still available. To be honest I hope there is not another Harrods set as it is just too expensive and this close after Christmas would just be too much.

Hi Mike!

I agree; I don't want another Harrods set and am hoping it was a one time thing! I am just tickled that I happened to log on here in time to get the other dolls and complete my set. The two latest are very impressive. Do you think they'll take a few hours with the higher edition size or are we talking about 10-15 minutes again?

At least in the Euro Market you have time to save up :) If we pre-order in store, we'll have to pay the full retail price on January 10th, haha I'd like a bit more time to prepare!

Well the population is higher in europe than in north america but the market is probably bigger in usa. :)

But still the preorders usually is only for usa adresses. And even if it would be possible to pre order to Europe most countries here gets high taxes and custom fees on top of the price and crazy shipping so it would be very expencive to buy big and expencive things as dolls and have them shipped here.

Im not really complaining though. im happy that we will get any at all! :) Just wished we would get 1000 since Frozen things starting to get really popular here. And the movie actually has not had its premiere in Sweden yet! Still almost a month left until we get to see it!!! Crazy! :)

I am hoping that they last longer, I would say one would last at least an hour and the other may sell out within the hour. The Ariel LE took about 2.5days to sell out but the Ariel and Eric DFDC sold out within minutes of release so you can never tell, I think one doll will be similar to the Ariel and Eric DFDC and another will take slightly longer. Just unsure which ones though.

That is true, but the great thing is that you can preorder the dolls and be done with it, you wont have to worry about coming up with the funds later or worrying about any of that. All you have to do is walk in and pick up your dolls. Which I think is less stressful LOL as you dont have to worry about shipping damage or dolls getting lost etc.

Yes, definitely! I would much prefer to get them in store :) Though the store near me that confirmed last week that they would be doing pre-orders, told me today that they actually might not get them. Yay consistency >.>

Serious? That just doesnt make sense as this one has a larger edition size, is there anywhere else you can go to buy it to save resorting to buy online? Either way good luck!

I too agree with Polaris don't wait to get them. I learned a lot about buying Disney dolls this year. I made the mistake of waiting until the next day to get the DFDC Belle Beast, thinking that it wouldn't been a problem with getting it, since I had no trouble with the other sets before that one...boy was I wrong. Then When it came to the Ariel set I could not grab one even though I stayed up until 2am. You just never know with the dolls, I recommend treating every release that you want like it's going to sell out fast, even if it doesn't, at least you have your doll.

So, the store manager couldn't account for the mis-information today when I was in the store, LOL!!! Too funny! I told her not to worry, as she has been right every time before. We laughed about it!!! Good luck to everyone next Friday on getting the LE doll(s) they want!!! Supposedly a lot of the stock has been reserved for the stores. The stores around me are getting more stock than when the LE Ariel was released. :o)

Wait, how does pre-ordering work? I have a Disney store reasonably near me and I want to pre-order from the store. Do I have to walk in on Jan. 10th and pre-order the doll? Or do I have to go before the 10th and make a pre-order, and the store will have the dolls on the 10th? (Sorry I'm very much a newbie to all of this!)
