Tentative date for the next WDW PTN- April 22nd

Someone pointed out that the Elsa PTN pin is finally up on odpt.com, and with it comes a release date...

Which means we can ASSUME the date is the next PTN. It's Tuesday, April 22nd.

Considering we expected on in April, and it's a Tuesday, like they have been recently, and I'm guessing that will be correct.

Please note- this is not an official announcement, so nothing is confirmed. But I'm guessing we'll see that soon.

I am READY! It's been forever since we've had one...

I'm already trying to plan a way to get down there and bring A LOT of people. I mean, driving straight down from NJ to Orlando would take about 24 hours 1 way, but gas is only $150ish (if Anna sells for $100, then I bet 1 Elsa could go for $150 or around that), so as long as I can recoup costs somehow, I'm considering it <_< I just wouldn't want to make the drive and then find out that I can't get her >_<

This falls on my birthday day. I normally spend it at Disney, but not sure I want to waste a whole day, and then some, waiting for a pin/movie I don't collect. Plus, I have a feeling there will be lots of shenannagans to jockey to the front of the line (line cutters). I'm thinking about arriving late and just trying for the Jessica.

I totally forgot Jessica was the second...LOL! My birthday's the 28th, so Happy Birthday to you (and me)! Two characters I like for pins...

Of course, waking up that early is going to suck BIG TIME. I'm hoping they'll do wristbands so we don't have to sit there the whole time. But WDW has never been the best at doing wristbands. Even when they did them for Rapunzel, it was like we got them just before we were let in. I was like, "...thanks?" Still made me feel secure, I guess, but would have been nice to get them around 3 so I could leave and go get dinner...

If they do do them early, I'm trying to decide if I want to leave and pop into a park or what.

EDIT: Crap! Blackouts...sigh. Maybe I'll hotwire a $30 Buena Vista hotel room and sleep.

Really? Do we know when we're getting the pin catalog yet? We usually get it a little before registration.

Maybe they'll have pics from the Preview Boards of them tonight...

I meant that the 22nd of April s the day the registration opens, so while we are waiting in line for the wristbands for the Elsa and Jessica release, we will have to register for the Sept event. I am worried about my laptop getting a good connection

I know that's what you meant. We just usually get to see the pins before that (so we can decide whether or not to register), so if the 22nd is registration, then we'll see the pins soon.

BUT there might be a chance that DLR got preview pins tonight...

As for registering...yeah, I'd be a little concerned about our connections, too. Maybe my hubby can do it for me...

I now understand what you meant about tonight..LOL..since DLR is having their PTN (sorry..senior moment)
It would be fabulous to see what the pins might be this early.
event registration is my biggest worry. I will be trying to have a backup plan a well.

When they put the cost info on the blog, I left a comment asking if we would have the catalog prior to the registration date. Michelle Harker answered:

We are working really hard to pull all of the information together for the merchandise catalog. I think you’re going to love it. I would expect that the catalog will probably come online around the same time as registration. Certainly if we are able to offer it sooner, we will.

I kind of doubt we'll have the full catalog before the 22nd, probably only a preview.

Huh. Interesting. It would be the first year we haven't had the catalog first. The last few years, it's been closer and closer to the date for the registration, but it always managed to show up first.

Well, now that the date of the WDW Trading Night is official, I don't know if I would necessarily "panic" about Event Registration opening on the 22nd. Now that the Event is back to the original 2 day format for pins, there is really no need to register the first day. There isn't an Early Bird Discount, Early Bird Pin (that they have announced) or low limit to the Event (only the Breakfast). Remember, in previous years (before the "13 Event") people could still register as late as June or July and still get in.

If I remember right, last year's catalog showed up the morning of Event Registration. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens again this year.
