Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I love the dresses of all the Frozen LE dolls! They are amazingly beautiful and...what is ímporant for me... they look a lot like the movie outfits. I have the impression, that the march released doll´s outfits are made a bit more detailed, than the november dolls, but it may be just an impression... The most bautifull outfit for me is Anna´s Snow outfit, with this adorable cape and hat. The only little critique I have, is that Elsa´s SQ cape is not made with see through Organza, but all in all I love her outfit and these amazing shoes!!! The facepainting though is very stylized and does not really resemble the movie characters (which does not bother me as much, because I do repaint them all anyway...), in my opinion they made the faces of the singig dolls a lot better.

Of course, at the end of the day it's all a matter of opinion :P. I know the LE series is supposed to be the glammed-up version of the characters portrayed, but I do often forget about it when I look at these dolls, because personally I'm more about staying true to the original design than making up variations on it. As for the Harrods SQ Elsa I definitely agree with you: that one is a lot closer to perfection. If you ask me, the wide release doll should've had the same details, even if they upped the price a bit for her. And yes, Belle was definitely in my mind when I mentioned tackiness :)). Rapunzel... well her simplicity is part of why I like the character. And I think that they could've done a better job of detailing the dress but still keeping it true to the original. But again, opinion :P.

I am very curious what they're gonna do with Aurora later this year. I'm willing to bet they'll go with the pink princess dress (as much as I'd like the Briar Rose one, the other girls got their princess dresses so I assume they'll do the same with her), but I really wanna see what direction they'll take when "glamming" her up :)

I'm just hoping they stay away from bead chains!
Aurora is my favourite princess so I really hope they do a good job with her, I'm expecting the pink dress with lots of sparkle and hopefully not too full in the skirt :) Fingers crossed they get her hair right too!

Personally Sq Elsa and the snow geared Anna are the best frozen dolls they look the most like their characters! And Polaris I agree I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like about coronation Elsa and it's that she looks like Calhourn!
And while I love the harrods frozen doll, I prefer the regular I think the harrods one has too much going on. Sq Elsa is my favourite LE doll.
And as far as Rapunzel goes I would say she doesn't look tacky, her details are amazing! My bf who hates the LE dolls and dolls in general thinks Rapunzel looks the nicest.

I still have a suspicion that they will play with the whole blue/pink fiasco with Aurora. So either they will do a dress that will highlight the fact that her dress kept changing between blue and pink or they may release two dolls, one in a blue dress and another in a pink. It wouldn't surprise me either way because the way that these LE dolls have been released lately I wouldn't run it past Disney to create more dolls just so that they can sell more and keep the LE doll hype alive even after Frozen.

I am not sure if you actually own a Rapunzel doll or have seen her in person but she is definitely much better in person than she is in the stock photos. I think most people would agree in that the photos never really do the dolls any justice especially when you see them in person. They really are so much more amazing. The one little quirk I love about the Rapunzel doll is that she is the only LE doll that does not have any shoes on. The details on her dress is amazing though down to the patterns on her dress to the rhinestones used, she really is one of the nicer dolls which is reflected by the fact that her price is going up.

That being said I can definitely see your point as I know some people prefer simple in comparison to overdoing it and that really just comes down to preference, what one may think is overdone another may think it is too simple.

I think that since the Harrods set did cost more (about 5 times more than the two separate dolls bought together) I definitely think that it did deserve that little bit of extra just to make that tiny bit more special. Even though the variances were minor. The one thing I do not really like about the Harrods set is the fact that Elsa looks shiny/glowing, sort of like Ursula, Tink and Zarina. This seems to be an effect that Disney is using a lot lately and I hope they do not do this to Maleficent.

Either way I can confidently say that none of the dolls will ever look like a replica of their cartoon versions just because they all have very long eye lashes which most of the characters do not have :P haha. But they still look amazing. Also sometimes their faces are not as "full" in their doll versions when compared to the movies.

Yeah it is funny if you take a photo of Coronation Elsa next to Calhoun you would think that they were related lol.

From stock photos Rapunzel looks awful IMO but in person WOW she has by far the most detailed outfit on, her dress is my favourite out of any LE, so intricate. Each time I look at her I will notice little details I never noticed before.

SQ Elsa is my favorite but Snow Gear Anna is a close second. I love the details: the clasp on her cape, the fur on her hood, the boots, the mittens. I haven't seen Coronation Anna in person, only in pictures, but I think I'd still prefer SG Anna just because of all of those details. Also, I'm finding in general that I prefer the dolls that have their arms covered so you don't see the joints. It's sort of jarring to me for some reason. The faces on the Frozen dolls are fine with me as I think they look far more like their characters than some of the other dolls.

I recently got Rapunzel, and I love her dress. She's a gorgeous doll. :) I don't mind the rhinestones on her dress, but I wouldn't mind outfits without all the bling as long as they were still well made with good materials and detailed in their execution.

Can't wait to see what they do with Aurora!

Sq Elsa Really Is magnificent and initially was my fave of the frozen dolls but coronation anna is my ultimate fave of them. I really love her expression and her dress. I like the details and the stones on it and the lace on the bottom. Plus its a very nice green color. Id say my least fave is coronation elsa. But if I had to pick only one to say was my total fave of the series would be Ursula. Shes probably my fave Disney character. Im totally looking forward to the sleeping beauty limiteds.... Im praying for a phillip! he was always my favorite disney prince!

I also really can't wait for Aurora! It seems like they have given up on the newer re-designs since they released last year's classic doll with the curl back in her bangs. I'm sure I'll love Aurora, as long as she has her signature curl, especially because I feel like it's hard to find good dolls of Aurora that do her beauty justice.

As for the Frozen dolls, I think Coronation Elsa is probably my favorite out of all of them. I love the richer colors paired with her light hair and I think she looks very regal.

I hope they start putting the "props" in with the dolls again, like Snow White's bird and apple, frog with Tiana, brush with Rapunzel, etc. I like that extra bit of detail.

Don't know what Aurora could have... maybe a pillow! LOL

Maybe a basket with flowers? But that would fit only the Briar Rose outfit. A pillow is a nice idea :D

Aurora will have her crown. That's a 100% guarantee. And that's about it.

Aurora and Rapunzel are my favourite princesses, so are the only dolls I really want and I'm really excited for both DFC and 17" coming out this year. More perfect is the fact she's rumoured to come out near my birthday. Personally, I'd hope for a blue one or as suggested, a dress that incorporates both colours.

While it's understandable that the price of Rapunzel is rising, it's frustrating when the last three I've seen on the UK site (ignoring the ones in US as I simply can't afford the import charges on top) have been cancelled 24 hours before the auction is meant to finish. I don't know whether it's the person deciding to keep the doll because they've changed their minds or the bids aren't high enough (when at those kinda prices, they always increase in the last couple of minutes/seconds) or if someone has messaged them privately with an offer (which is annoying when they either don't have an Offer button or it actually states in the listing that they won't accept offers). Anyway, rant over. I'll keep watching. :)

Am I the only one who really hopes they don't do Aurora in pink/blue combined! I'm sure it will look nice but I would prefer them to just decide and do either blue or pink and not both together. Makes me thing of gross tie dye. Personally I prefer Aurora in blue and she would look amazing with the blue hooded cape as well BUT I want pink as she will look more striking next to Cinderella, Elsa, Alice who are all in blue. As long as she has her crown, her beautiful hair and a big dress I'm sure it will look stunning either way but her pink is what most people associate her with.

For LE Aurora, if she is in her princess gown, her crown and necklace are pretty much a given as they are part of her design. Note that Designer Aurora's only props were bejeweled versions of her crown and necklace. In general, her crown has become her personal symbol in recent years. If they were to give her a hand-held item it would default to a rose if she is in her princess gown, as that is what they more often pair her with in promotional pictures and it relates to her peasant name of Briar Rose and supposedly red lips (most dolls do not follow that epitaph).

But like many here, I really don't give much of a hoot as to which outfit she's in since I like them all. Her hair, however is another story, as her signature bangs are so essential to her overall look. If they botch it and give her that new-look long side-sweep, I will be taking a pair of scissors to her like I did with the last singing doll. :p

Yeah that's another point.
It would be funny if the princess who is known to have lips that shame the red red rose has pink lips. Lol

I would like her with red lips but I wouldn't mind pink as they match her dress lol. Ariel didn't get red lips either so fingers crossed Aurora will I just hope they get the hair right and don't put her in the briar rose outfit or a combo of the pink/blue but either way I will be buying her. You can't not have the most beautiful princess in your collection lol

I'm sure she'll be in her princess gown, since the other princesses have all been made in their dresses they wear for the princess brand, minus Ariel. I'm excited to also see her DFDC version, which I hope is her in her Briar Rose outfit since it's my favorite!

Definitely the most beautiful :> I cannot wait for Aurora. I'm definitely getting two of her so I can debox one because she is my favorite princess and I feel like I've waited forever for her! I'd like her in the blue dress, but honestly I will take anything as long as it's Aurora. To be fair though - Her peasant/Briar Rose dress is the dress she spends the most time in during the film. Still I imagine we're going to end up getting the pink dress.

I have high hopes that since both the 17" Aurora and the DFDC are being released this year, that we get two different outfits. Seeing her in a Briar Rose outfit would be amazing! I can't wait any longer!!

I'm pretty sure that they won't have the same outfit.
Unless the 17" is in pink and DFDC is in blue.
But seeing how Ariel was in her Blue dress, I can see Aurora being in her Briar Rose outfit.
