Does anyone know if anything special is going on at this event? Will wdi be there with new pins? I haven't been to this in a pretty long time.
 
Unless Disneyana changes its vendors first policies, WDI will most likely not be back to their convention. I heard rumor that they are coming to florida for the D23 event in November.

It's taking place this upcoming Sunday July 20th. It'll be awesome! It's only $5 to get in and there's a whole ton of stuff to see. I went for the first time in February and I found some grails (both pins and other merch).
 
And again, the July sale has at least twice as many Disney dealers than the Feb. sale! This is the one to attend! And best of all, it's only a few blocks from DLR. I wouldn't recommend walking though. Especially with the heat we've been having!
 
It was a great show & sale! I found the Nightmare four pin key set gift from the June 14th event from Josh at the My D Pins table! How many other DPF members went and did you find any goodies?
 
I went Room Hopping on, uhhhh, Saturday night I think, with Connie. I didn't get anything, I mostly just enjoyed chatting with people and hanging out with my friend :)
 
I went on Sunday for the Expo, first time for me, very nostalgic! Familiar faces around, enjoyed the guy from Japan, as he yelled out how crazy he was! Missed out on room hopping, have to check it out next time!
 
For the last couple of Disneyana events, I just went room hopping and skipped the Sunday expo and as usual, I spent more than I planned to spend. But it was fun.

I saw some of the Disneyana event coordinators going from floor to floor trying to get everyone to be quiet and not conduct any pin trading on the various floors because they were afraid the hotel was going to put a stop to the room hopping... well, we all know asking pin traders to be quiet and not trade is impossible! :lol: Some people were trading in the lobby. I wished there was a designated room for trading like they had back in February. I won't be surprised if the event is eventually moved to another hotel in the next year or two.

The D23 Expo has a vendors first policy and WDI has been at all of the D23 Expos! I heard that D23 wants to keep access to WDI/MoG pins to only its events, even though MoG's has participated at the Disneyana show, long before D23 was created. I also note that Disney Employee Center no longer releases pins nor participates in the Disneyana show. And the Soda Fountain no longer participates in the Disneyana show.
