New! Pin Trader Delight Pin Program

In an effort to create a fair and fun program, we have made some exciting changing to the Pin Trader Delight program. We will implement the plan below with the re-launch of the PTD program:

• Pin Trader Delight Sundaes will now be limited to guests ages four (4) and up
• Pin Trader Delight Sundaes will be available daily:
- Sunday–Thursday 11:00am–10:00pm
- Friday & Saturday 11:00am–11:00pm
- No camping out - no exceptions

*Pin Trader Delights will be sold during the scheduled pin releases advertised on our monthly flyers

Pin Trader Delight Pins will now be released in sets of four

• All 4 pins will be displayed in the case, and advertised on Facebook
• Guests will be limited to two (2) Pin Trader Delight Sundaes per day
- Guests may not purchase two (2) of the same style pin
- If there is only one pin remaining in the series, guests may only purchase the one sundae to receive 1 of the remaining pin.
• A New Pin Trader Delight Pin Series will be released when all 4 pins in the previous set are 100% sold out.

We will announce the return of the Pin Trader Delight Program, and every Pin Trader Delight Sundae Series as they are released, on our Facebook page.

I like it this way! Something different. But I wonder how they will choose the sets of pins- we've seen them do characters from the same movie- will they sell pins from the same movie all at once or spread them out?
 
I have some concerns about how they are going to enforce 2 per person per day and how people are going to try to get around that, but I largely support this (especially as someone who can only come by herself and cant always wait around for a flip) as long as they are able to keep consistent with all the new rules.

Well the only time it'll be hard to enforce it is when the shift changes. Go early in the morning, come back before closing and hope someone doesn't recognize you.
 
I don't think it's good for those who don't live there. If I had someone who got them for me, and they usually took their daughter... 1 for them, 1 for me.... now it'll be 4 for them... none for me. :(
 
I guess this is better for the locals ? :sad:

I wonder how this will effect the value of the ptd's, I would like it if they weren't this expensive. I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon
 
It all depends on how many PTDs come out with characters that people collect versus trade/sell, and how many PTDS in one batch are from the same move or franchise.


I for one only keep PTDs of things I already collect (mostly...there are exceptions such as Bolt and WALL-E). So, pretty much just Lion King and Robin Hood. If two of those come out then I'll be keeping them, but if almost anything else does I'll have two PTDs available to trade from one visit as opposed to only one.

I think the first few months after they start releasing them again are going to be chaos while the new system gets worked out, and then hopefully become steady so we can see if it is really beneficial.
 
What i like about this is it's back to 2 perperson, but it sounds like you have to get a sundae. But that's okay.

Do they have anything sugar free? I can't remeber...might ruin my day now xD
 
They sell it with the ice cream but you can decline, or only get half a sundae. During the crazy days of 5+ flips, most people skipped getting their sundaes.

And yes, they usually have sugar-free vanilla. And sorbet or another dairy-free choice, too.

I know :3 I've been getting ptds for a few years now, but this clearly states now you have to get the sundaes...or at least that's how i saw it.

I recently found out I can't have sugar anymore so i couldn't remeber lol

Well, actually that's not quite true... They will release 4 different pins at once, and you can buy any TWO (and not two of the same thing). You can't buy all 4 of them, and you can't buy 2 of any one of them... If they only have one pin design left, you can only buy one per day.

So it's still one design per person, two pins total, and you have to pick your favorite two out of a possible 4.

So, if they release an Elsa and 3 Chicken Littles, you can't buy two Elsas... :)

No I know, I completely got that. I just meant I can go in by myself and get two. :3
 
This is exciting! I was hoping the PTDs would come back at all, but this is even better! Hopefully the selection of characters are from a wide range of interests. I'm not sure a theme would do too well since it would be likely that only one character from the movie/theme would be popular and sell out quickly. I would like to see some "hard choices", make it fun (or painful) to choose!
