I have mixed feelings about UPS delivery too. I sometimes get VERY large packages in the mail. One time I was watching them from my window (creepering), the guy brought a "sorry you weren't home" slip and put it on my door without even knocking or attempting to bring the package out of the vehicle. Needless to say I had to chase him down and be like "dude I was home the whole time". What is the point of even doing that! He would have to drive back here on another day... or maybe they wanted me to pick up? Not sure...

I'm not a doll collector, but this made me want to comment about my bad experience with UPS.

My worst experience so far has to be when they presumably opened my biggest box in order to stuff some smaller packages inside it, to keep it all together. I was appalled when I found that thing. The item originally inside the big box was exposed to the elements and the other packages were clearly stuffed inside it with force. They were all separate packages from different locations, too, so it's not like the original sender(s) intended for that to happen.

Luckily I haven't had a bad experience since then, but that one will forever stick out in my mind.

Can't say much for regular mail though either... I had $200 insurance on an item, plus signature required, and they still left the package in the mailbox with nobody home. Couldn't believe it. It was a very expensive pin and I was pissed.

Good ol' USA post.

Ok, so here's a couple of things you can do:

If you live in an apartment complex, you can leave a note your door saying that they should leave the package with the apartment office.
If you live in a house, you can call UPS and tell them to either hold your package for pickup, which I believe is a maximum of 8 business days or you can tell them to leave it with the neighbor, if you trust them. ;)

Under no circumstances should you attempt to do this through the online chat. They have the absolute worst online chat system and the representative will screw up the delivery.

I'm normally in an apartment, but I specifically had her shipped to my parents house so someone would be able to sign for her, or pick her up. So I'm not particularly worried, I just hope she doesn't have any defects when I get home and open her up. :) I really hate that Disney ships with UPS, though. I've had an unbelievable amount of problems with them.
 
If you're scared, sign up for UPS My Choice (I think that's what it's called) and have them hold your package. You can go pick it up in person. I've done that before too when I knew I wouldn't be home.

Not sure ire you can stop panicking until they arrived. I had shipping notices for pink aurora, Philip, and maleficent, none of which came with tracking and none have arrived. The pink one they said they would send a replacement but the status still says active. I emailed about the others and they have me tracking numbers but none of which work.

I don't think that they give out tracking numbers for international orders anymore.
 
Well I'm very happy and can finally relax! My Blue Aurora arrived today in perfect condition, she looks stunning! And looks great next to my Maleficent and Phillip dolls I got in store. First time a LE order has gone so smoothly for me. Really happy with all three dolls.

Hope everyone else's orders come through ok.
 
Gutted :( got a text saying my parcel had been received and I'm not home. What will they do, come back the next day or leave it in the post office? It's Hermes.

Apparently already sold out. Getting pretty fed up with Disney tbh. Love my two Auroras and my other dolls, but unamused that they used the Harrods image to sell the normal one. Just money grabbing and unfair.

Makes me angry how Disney advertised Blue Aurora wrong. I don't need an Aurora Set for 500 pound or more, this is just ridiculous. Waiting to see unreasonable prices on ebay in 3, 2, 1...

Though I'm confused as to when these were sold? I suppose not on the 7th, as otherwise we'd have seen pictures beforehand, wouldn't we?

What are the differences? More gems on the sleeves (blue Aurora promo picture) and a few more plates on the skirt? That is all I can think of right now (and not worth the 350 Pound more, as I think!).

100% agree. So sad that Disney themselves don't appreciate the support we give them and these LE items. Not that I would buy it as it's way too much but why keep it so quiet? Fairness is not something they are interested in :(. Ah well why expect any better at this stage? Xx
 
Tbh if I had the money I would get the Harrods set just because its LE 100. But I actually wasn't a fan of the extra jewels on blue Auroras promo. I only decided to get blue (was going for pink) once realised it was the same as pink. How's it already sold out? No one even knew about it lol.

Just another way to make money and I won't loose any sleep over not having it. But happy for those who can afford and want it!

Disney will never change how they do their marketing and advertising since everybody goes mad over their items and buy them anyway within minutes. Would only cost more money. Sadly.

Would like to see some comparisons from an honest collector instead of crazy ebay prices...
