That's true. Cinderella is in my top three favorite Disney animated films, so I am probably going to be like you and love what I have bought regardless lol. The merchandise we have gotten is easily some of the most beautiful pieces of merch that we have received for any Disney film in a while.
 
The extended trailer they have over at DCA right now gave me some new hope for the movie; looks like it may be a little heavyhanded with the CGI, but total eyecandy with all of the color and costumes.

But in the meantime, I've been limiting myself to purchases that are fairly iconic to the old story as well. I purchased the pin set mainly for the slipper, and threw in the compact for the same reason. Thankfully the coach doesn't look "pumpkin-y" enough, so I think I can give that merch a pass. ><

But oh dear if I wind up loving the movie for its own merits, I'm in trouble. >< The butterfly jewelry and that wedding accessory set are gorgeous! And let's not even speak of the dolls.
 
Yay I was able to place an order this morning, it went through and is pending on my credit card so hopefully it will not cancel. Keeping my fingers crossed

Congratulations. That's great to know it is/was a possibility for those who haven't purchased one yet. People have mentioned that until the red sold out button is shown, there is still a chance. :)
 
Yes I find that they usually clear out the bad credit cards and multiple orders around 8-9am east coast time so if you are quick sometimes you can get sold out items.

I personally really love the Disney store versions over the mattel ones. The fabrics and details are much nicer on the disney versions. I kind of feel like after seeing the Mattel version in person it looks a bit cheap and not worth the price range.
 
I'm gonna be curious about hot topic's clothing... Their quality sometimes goes a little shoddy for my taste, but I'm kind of loving that jacket.

Maybe I just need to hang back and hope someone starts producing licensed fabric soon so I can just sew my own stuff. ><

Most opinions I've read said that Mattels facemold and Disneys dress combination would be the best. :) Hope this helps a little :)

I really liked Mattel's Cinderella the moment they released her photos but now I'm having doubts. If anyone who owns her could post more photos, that would be really great and helpful. Thanks! :)
 
The Hot Topic fashion collection is really nice, but is anyone else surprised that none of the jewelry is on the website yet? You would think that they would put all of that stuff up on the same day that they put up the fashion collection for the film.

I think the jewelry is only gonna be sold in stores.
 
ah might have to go to the states to find the mattel doll. i called target and they said they weren't getting new stuff in.

hot topic line looks awesome but i am skeptical about the quality of the dresses?
