Haha, I'm in the process of doing the same with the set I posted a couple pages ago. I bought some material to redo the dress, though, because I prefer the washed out look of the flowers in the movie / LE doll.

One thing that saddens me is that the doll looks even more cross-eyed with rooted lashes. I was hoping it would fix that a bit (nothing the customizer could've done about that but repaint, which I know I don't plan to do to mine). Oh well, she still looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

@Rapunz What number did you call exactly? You might try Disney Store's guest relations number or is that the number you called? ^^; Usually, guest relations is pretty good at offering solutions. If anything, you can voice your complaints about your recent Disney Store experience.

I got my wedding doll, hooray! There are a few issues with the box that I'm not sure if I will complain to DS about. It's hard taking pictures with the overhead light so I'll have to wait until the weekend to take pictures in the natural light.

I first wrote them a general inquiry e-mail through the DS website...and in their reply they said if I had any questions to call a number. I assume it was guest relations (800 328-0368.). Yes, they usually are very nice. I called at 8:30 in the morning...the girl did not sound very Disney. She was more "all business" sounding. I did get an e-mail later that day from a supervisor apologizing for the whole thing (perhaps I shot out one more e-mail as the final phone call did not set well with me)...no doll, no gift cert, no resolve...but I did get an "sorry for all the trouble we caused". Good enough. I will still buy limited edition dolls online. I will just do so with a better understanding of what may or may not happen.

They should have given you a gift card for this. I'd phone again and ask for one, since they usually do give one in cases like this.

Wow, that's a great makeover. To my eye she looks just like the LE one, especially in the close-up where we can't see the scale. I also really like the black veil given to Lady Tremaine. I've also tried to add a black mesh veil on her but am having difficultly making it secure to her nicely, so currently she's not wearing it.

I believe she is still around $200...she is easily one of the most affordable dolls these days. I think you could easily manage a trade with Blue Aurora without having to exchange any actual money as well, if that is your intention.

Ah, thank you! I checked eBay but the nonbidding auctions are all 300+ (I'd much rather just buy it now, bidding makes me so nervous!)
I've never traded before so that worried me too. I know Facebook is usually where that happens and I don't have one. I'm just surprised that she went up so much. Her edition size is huge haha.

On FB, people are selling Wedding Rapunzel for $225-250 + shipping. So, at this point, I don't think you'll be able to do a straight trade of a Blue Aurora for her.

The code worked for me in February and it's letting me add it again, so I don't think it's restricted to the premium memberships as I've not been willing to pay that much for membership upgrade. At least not yet. I haven't really thought the added benefits were worth $75 for gold membership. Although, I kind of want to so I can get into the special boutique. I'd love to hear if anyone has a premium membership and what they think about the benefits vs cost.

Yeah, I added the fairy godmother to my cart because it just wouldn't make sense not to hit the $75 mark as it practically makes the doll free, so it's almost like you're making money, right? LOL I hate that. They always reel me in things like that. I can't pass up a bargain. I'm not spending $89, I'm saving $29 with the free shipping. Yeah, that sounds right. Good thing I like oatmeal... Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll all be sold out before I get paid.

This is my first year being a gold D23 member. I really like the quarterly magazines, especially the one that was just released because it has many pages deicated to the making of the live action "Cinderella." The magazines are the main reason why I did the upgrade. I also do like the perk of the every so often discounts. I did not know that the free membership could also get the discounts when shopping online as I mainly shop at my closest Disney Store where you have to show your membership card at checkout. There are other perks like going to special events but I have not gone to any of those yet. You have to pay for the events but there is usually a cool gift that you get for attending.

I've been reading more about it and thinking maybe sometime in the future I'd go for it. There are good discounts on Disney art that I would like to have.

You mean the latest Elsa? My Elsa came in original box with factory label on it. Maybe your Elsa is the one that being returned to DS by whom received two and the original box is damaged.

Something weird happened on my Cinderella box, actually...

The invoice that usually sits in a plastic pocket on the side? It got ripped out. The plastic pocket was still dangling on the side, but the invoice was gone.

I just don't get the point of stealing that....? Maybe they were looking for credit card info? Even so, kind of weird they didn't just steal the whole box...

Nah, invoices usually never say the payment info, especially if it's just sitting right outside on the box. (Unless, like, the company is really careless with their customer's info 0_0)
Probably just an accident, or maybe the wrong one was put in and never got replaced with yours?

In a similar boat! I decided I would like to get a couple dolls eventually (Ariel in pink dress is they ever make her and an Elsa). So, do I buy a Regal Elsa now that her price is still pretty low (I really think she is lovely. I prefer her to SQ Elsa. Coronation is my favorite though). Or, do I wait and hope they release a Frozen Fever green sequence dress or other variant to grab at a store? Decisions!!! Especially when pins and Wondercon (and silly things like moving, cough cough) are my more immediate expenses right now.

I certainly know your feeling! I was very wishy washy over live action Cinderella, but I eventually decided against it.
I say, if you prefer Regal Elsa, get her, and wait for Frozen Fever Elsa. Since you prefer that styling to SQ Elsa, I think you'd be better off with Regal than with FF, since FF will be very similar to SQ. (Only a slight color change and shorter sleeves, flowers, ect.)
However, since you're concerned about money, I think you may be able to pull off waiting on Regal Elsa for a few months. She's probably the least popular of all the Frozen releases, excepting maybe Kristoff. And since a lot of people bought her to sell, I think you'd be able to get her around the same price in the future. But I'd definitely get her before the next release, in case she goes up, as they are prone to when a new release is out. Don't wait too long, or you'll end up like me XD

No problem. I will be renewing. If you renew while active you save $10 on your membership, it's not much but it's something. The magazines are worth it to me alone, they have very nice photos in them and they are printed on high quality paper. If you sign up in the next couple of months you should be able to get the Cinderella magazine (if it is still advertised on the website in the package then you will get that one), I signed up in Sept. of last year and I got the Maleficent magazine. I will add they do charge for shipping and you can not use any free codes, the membership is $80 and I belive it came to $100 after everything was said and done.

Yeah, I put off buying her when she was still selling at retail. I eventually traded for her with someone local (traded Designer Tinker Bell and Zarina for Wedding Rapunzel) so we could meet up in person and inspect the dolls.

I'm the same with everyone here.. I figured her edition size is so big it'll stay around retail for a long time. Really kicking myself now. :'(
