I would personally love if disney made a live action Snow White! It would be tough for them to make since feminists wont want her to be cleaning and singing happily while a prince saves her, but if they make the movie like maleficent, (which was alright but wasn't faithful to the original) and show that the evil queen is misunderstood and blah blah blah then you don't please the fans. I guess you can't please anyone, oh well. I can't wait till the live action beauty and the beast comes out! If they make a belle Le doll, they need to do a better job on the fabrics.

I think the problem there would be it would be too much like Maleficent (which was criticized for being too much like Wicked) but a movie about the Evil Queen wouldn't be too bad of an idea. Even then I would love to see them release a 17" Evil Queen LE (no high hopes lol), that would more than make up for missing out on Snow White haha.

I think ink a live action Snow White would be fun, I think the problem is that the movie is too old and has different ideals.ive been wondering lately what disney will do when Snow White turns 100! I'm sure it will be big
 
Snow White is a toughie for a modern movie, but then again so was Cinderella. Maybe Snow White could be really into interior decorating? But, yipe, also cooking... Perhaps they don't have to portray her cleaning so much at the castle, since unlike Cinderella that wasn't the most central abuse on her (SW's big thing is the assassination plot. And maybe that wouldn't have to be based on looks this time?) Then, when she runs away to the dwaves' hut, the movie could make it clear that she is asking for room and board in exchange for being a maid and cook. I think that would be better received than her just suddenly going on a cooking, washing, cleaning and pseudo-mothering spree because that's what good women must deep down always want to do.
 
There have already been two live-action Snow White movies released recently, although not from Disney --- Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror, Mirror--- so I don't think it is a matter of the material not being adaptable to modern audiences. Disney might eventually do their own live-action version but I'd imagine they'd probably wait awhile since these two movies were released just in the past few years.

I thought Mirror Mirrow was cute, but I didn't like how Snow White in Snow White and the huntsman wore battle armor. That's suitable for mulan, but when I think of Snow White, I think pure and innocent, not ready to slay someone lol! If disney does make a live action Snow White, they would of course make her a stronger character with more personality.

Haha then I'm guessing you don't like how they've portrayed Snow White/Mary Margaret in Once Upon a Time? Never cared too much for Snow White in the original animation, the adaptations and even OUAT but I'd die for a LE Regina/Evil Queen :naughty:

I like Regina with her Evil Queen outfit far more than Snow White in OUAT and Snow's heart seems to be a bit too dark:lol:
 
I got my wedding Cinderella two days ago. She's huge! 0.o I'm used the the size of the 17" dolls, but wedding Cinderella's box is really big. Luckily she did fit into the spot I picked out for her.

As expected, the Japanese disney store shipped her well. Her box was wrapped in protective paper, then bubble plast and then she was put in a bigger box. She arrived in perfect condition without a scratch.

First I wasn't interested in getting her because she wouldn't fit in with my other Limited dolls, since she's based on an actual actress, but after I got her, like it seems with so many other people, I'm in love with her. I really appreciate her beauty as a doll, rather than a disney character.

I must admit that I'm happy that I didn't have to pay 500 USD for her though - that's a steep price, Disney really went for some easy money there (not even considering how much people pay at ebay).

The first doll I decided to skip on buying was suddenly released in Japan. That's kinda funny.
It's also the first time I've felt relaxed after ordering a LE doll, with the US store I always fell like a nervous wreck, since they have a habit of … well not doing their job properly.

They also released Blue Cinderella in 50 copies, but I skipped that and went for wedding Cinderella, even tough the blue Cinderella also looks stunning, but I have to really limited myself from now on with buying these dolls, since they're taking up a lot of space and here in Japan it's hard to have such expensive collector items (have to consider earthquakes and the awful humidity) plus the fact that I have two small girls who'll learn to move around in the house soon.
Just the fact that I own this Cinderella, Snow Queen Elsa and Alice makes me nervous - combined with all the other limited dolls (17" & designers 0.0)...

Yeah I'm not a fan of Snow/Mary. Especially in the current season.

Hey Disney, while you're milking everything Frozen-related, how about a LE 17" Ingrid? ;P

But yeah, evil queen Regina would be nice for OUAT. Mmm, or young Ursula.

Congrats perfect place to display her, wish i could of got my hands on her, i just realised, i think im following you on Instagram! lol its when you mentioned japan, the wedding doll and your two girls, i just put two and two together, what a small world, love all your disney japan merch pics!

Elsa and Anna would most likely be released with the DVD of Cinderella or whatever DVD the short will be included on, but I think it was really shiesty of Disney to not release the Frozen Fever dolls to commemorate the premier of the short. and yes, I am aware that Disney is milking these Frozen dolls to the last possible opportunity, but still.

As for the next couple years I expect Moanna and Film Collection Belle, Alice, and Mulan. I think the ship has sailed on any Maleficent dolls unfortunately. :/
As for the Pinocchio Diamond Edition, I hope they release an LE Pinocchio marionette!

Yes disney will deffo release frozen fever they would be mad not to, elsa in the green outfit would possibly make up for SQ elsa that loads of people are after.
i really hope they release fairy godmother with the dvd, disney have recently released 5 dolls in a space of a month so im hoping they release the 3 for the dvd.

i always wondered if they would release an LE pinocchio or dumbo, wow the marionette sounds amazing! I hope disney read through these forum pages and uptake the discussions into account when deciding which dolls to produce, probably not but heres hoping lol
 
Speculating that they'll release Frozen Fever dolls with the Cinderella DVD-when will the DVD come out? June? I'm just desperate to have the DVD and I really can hardly wait to see Frozen Fever Elsa!!!

It surprises me too! That one in particular seems like it would be very difficult to make into live action with the same storyline, given just how much of it is based in magic and special effects while maintaining very real, timeless themes. If this is true and really happening I just hope they can find a way to do it without too much CGI or "twists." Pinocchio was a dated film in a good way, after all. :)

Oh, and if it is happening we need a Blue Fairy LE doll. Seriously Disney, it's time.

Well I gave in and brought the blue dress live action Cinderella from ebay and she arrived today

Thank you to everyone who gave her brilliant reviews, she really is stunning in real life and I'm so happy that I decided to get her!

If if there's anyone who is still undecided then I would really think about getting her sooner rather than later as I imagine her price will only rise as more live action movies are released

I kind of doubt it. There were tons of March 2014 (those were the pre-orders) available for months on ebay and the price was stagnant. Then they disappeared for a bit and came back again with a vengeance.

Also, seeing at how many dolls have damaged boxes that people returned for new ones makes me wonder, even though the LE size is 5000, are there really only 4500 (or less) in circulation?
 
Disney HAS to release Frozen Fever Anna and Elsa. >_< The would be stupid not to since they milk Frozen for all it's worth. But I doubt the scalpers will go away anytime soon. So many people resort to panic purchasing on ebay when the dolls sell out. :/
