DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
So the Japanese disney store decided to sell 50 limited edition wedding Cinderella dolls this morning at 10 am. I managed to get one :) it was a lot easier than buying from the US site, since the product is uploaded and visable hours before they start selling, just the order button is missing. No secret links or unfair knowledge.
They were even cheaper than in the US - around 350 USD :)

She sold out in 1 minute.

of course this means that 500 wasn't available for the US/Europe, even though they said 250 for the US and 250 for Europe.

Wonder if that means we will start getting LE dolls on a regular basis?

If anyone is interested, I was in Oxford Street London store today and they had 5 of the Fawn limited editions dolls on the shelf downstairs...didn't buy one though.

So I have had Cinderella a few weeks now and she's the first LE doll I have ever deboxed, although she is back in her box until I get a glass cabinet. I don't think pictures do her justice at all, she's so stunning in person. Usually after a couple of weeks of having a new LE doll( hype/excitement dies down and sometimes I start to dislike a doll... Cinderella I just love more and more- she's a keeper! The new Anna and Elsa though I have decided to sell them, got caught up in the excitement and then liked them when I first got them but after about a week realised I didn't care for them. I hope disney do a frozen fever Elsa or a designer sq Elsa.

What the hell, Disney? Why was the price changed for that Japanese store? That's hardly fair for those who paid the original $500 price for them. And while I'm happy that those who got her were able to do so, I feel bad for those who got cheated out of the lower price.

I agree so much with all this. It's the first LE I opened and I love her more every day. I think there was an adjustment period since she's a bit different from the other dolls. After that I loved her so much I turned my tv room into a Cinderella room so that I can stare at her (and the 11" dolls) all the time. I personalized my LE doll, but I might get another to keep mint at some point.

That would be nice.
Since it was a lot easier getting the doll from the Japanese disney store. Even though there were only 50, it went a lot better than expected.
Also think the Japanese disney store will ship the dolls better than the US store (better protection - since Japanese people are so strict when it comes to packaging) and a 7 USD shipping fee is a lot better than 75 USD.

I was also very surprised to see the Japanese price, around 42,000 yen (349,37 USD), especially since the items are often more expensive on the Japanese disney store than on the US site.

150 USD is a pretty big price drop… that's a whole new LE doll.
Must admit, I only bought her because of the price drop. I wasn't interested in paying 500 USD for her, but I could better justify 350 USD.

It depends if they ship it in the original shipper box from DS or add an extra box/layer of protection.

I will add that most of the damage that I have seen to the boxes/plastic appear to have occurred in the factory where the dolls were created and originally boxed. It is not due to the box being damaged/crushed during delivery. Scratches on the plastic and creases in the boxes don't typically happen during shipping.

I think the price difference has to do with the fact that the JPY is losing value against the USD.

I'm more afraid of receiving a completely crushed Cinderella as I've seen too many of those last month, where even the shipper box is bashed up violently.

Yes, the yen is losing value, but then I thought they would just raise the yen price, to match the US price, instead of making it cheaper. Since, most disney items are more expensive in Japan than in the US.

the more photos i see of wedding cindy, the more i want her. but if i couldn't justify her 500$ price tag at that time, i certainly can't justify the 2,000$ now. i wish she was just regular edition. mmmm, maybe she will be my ultimate grail.

and that's nice that the site functions like that. display the item just without the buy button.

Wow congrats, such an amazing price, i think its a great way of selling future LE dolls, they should display the item beforehand, ive always had to wait around 10 mins for the items to load before i can purchase unless someone kindly shares the link.

I feel exactly the same about my pink aurora, she was my first LE doll and now i have blue cinderella,i dont feel the same about her anymore, ive decided to collect the live action dolls over the classic LE. I absolutely love cinderella, the dress, the slipper, i even love her face mold. Think aurora will have to go at some point.

I sold my pink Aurora but still love the blue one, the sleeping beauty dolls are a lot nicer than the recent Frozen ones though. I wonder who will be next to get the live action doll treatment, maybe Alice? I wish we would have got a live action Aurora and Maleficent.

hey guys! do you think would be fair trading my cinderella glass slipper LE 500 with the LE snow quen elsa doll i'm looking for?

Personally I think it would be fair, the slipper is more limited than the Elsa and I think retailed for more? So yeah I would say it's fair but what's fair to someone isn't to the next. Good luck in your search for SQ Elsa

That depends on which one you love most. To me, it is SQ Elsa. After seeing Ebay's price, If anyone is really willing to trade their SQ elsa for your LE 500 slipper, I think it is worth.

I know someone who wants the slipper and the cinderella LE 500. She is willing to trade the coronation Elsa for the slipper, is it a low #? is anyone trading the LE 500 cinderella?

if anyone wants to trade, here is the deal...my friend will trade her coronation elsa for the slipper and is willing to buy the LE 500 cindy. I only want a frozen LE 100 and LE 500 cindy, so I will be willing to trade my second and third wave Anna and Elsa (4 dolls total) for a LE 500 cindy. Anyone?
