DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I just hope they don't make a Harrods set again. Oh well not much you can do. I wonder what kind of stand she will have. I wonder if she will have a saddle stand or the stand that goes around the waist.

That's the word I was looking for.... 'meh'. She's cute, but not $120 cute. Not for me, anyway.

If she had ben aqua or purple or even red... hells yes

Honestly kind of relieved I don't want it so I won't have to stress over getting her or spend any money so I would rather save for my Disney trip.

Disney needs to fire whoever is in charge of these dolls. They've been so boring and border line awful lately... And don't even get me started on greasy face trend.

She's a lot more exquisite than what I thought she was going to be (I think Jasmine has the most 'basic' princess outfit tbh). The moss green and the pearly skin actually looks good on her imo. I just hope they don't ruin her like they did Aurora by releasing another version "
just because". :/

I'm am going tho pass on her however. I believe the LE will be the usual 5000 for the classic princess dolls.

I think she's lovely and will certainly buy her. I'd prefer the colors be a little more movie accurate, but I think they are very pretty stand alone. I'm thinking she'll look spectacular in person. I actually liked the shiny skin on the Frozen dolls (made me think of aurora borealis and seemed to go with the winter theme), and it was okay on Cinderella, but could do without it on Jasmine. It's not a deal breaker, though. I don't think it ruins the doll.

I'm still holding out hope they make more than just Jasmine. Aladdin in the prince outfit would be nice.

I'm not a huge fan of the shiny skin usually either but I think it works for Jasmine. If we take the Arabian desert climate into consideration and the idea that the shiny skin looks like oil or sweat then it kind of works too. XD But the sun-kissed idea is definitely the best. My initial thought was that it kind of makes her look like a bronze statue and therefore makes her look more beautiful. I actually really REALLY like her. I love the moss/forest green as well! It makes her look a lot more regal though I do understand the general complaint that it's not bright like her classic costumes are. Definitely going to have to preorder her. :D

I am REALLY on the fence about getting her. I still hate the shiny skin (though some people pointed out that it gives her a sun kissed look, which makes sense in a desert climate), but the clothes and the doll itself are still gorgeous. I am a pretty big sucker for Arabian inspired designs. But the problem is that even though Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney films, Jasmine isn't one of my favorite princesses and I really only wanted Aladdin originally (depending on how he looks of course). Not to mention that getting two of the Aladdin dolls (maybe three if Jafar amazes me) is a lot of money, and I have to save some for the Peter Pan and Hook designer set if that turns out to be true. So I am torn on getting her or not. Any suggestions?

I like it! I think the color scheme while a bit surprising is a nice improvement from her pretty but far too generic singing doll. I would have loved her in purple, but the dark green still looks stellar to me.

The shiny skin is a little troubling but as a few have said before having a sun-kissed appearance wouldn't be uncommon for an Arabian lady like Jasmine. For me the lateness of the release and pictures in general have been far more disappointing than anything to do with her actual look.

I think the harrods variant will have more embroidery on her skirt and possibly more detail on the bottom (gems wise)

I am in love with this doll! Despite the shiny skin I think she looks great and I'm super excited to preorder her. I don't have any 17" dolls yet, and Jasmine is my favorite Disney princess so I am very glad I started collecting right before the Aladdin re-release year!

The pearliness just goes with her skin tone and it gives her a pretty bronze glow. But I hate how it is now being incorporated into EVERY doll with no rhyme or reason. I think LA Cindy it worked, but for dolls such as 2015 Anna and Elsa... no.

I like her outfit and think it is pretty, although I might have preferred the lighter turquoise color. And it definitely looks like she's wearing a version of Aurora's necklace. I do plan on getting her. But... I HATE HATE HATE HATE that shiny skin again. UGH.

I have never gotten over the shiny skin on the last Frozen dolls. I have even thought of getting rid of them because I feel they ruin the rest of my collection. They just look ugly and cheap. The only dolls I actually like the shiny skin on are the fairies. I wasn't crazy about it on the live action Cinderella but at least it is tolerable. However, I really can't stand it on the last Frozen dolls, especially if you look at them next to the older Frozen releases, the differences really stand out.

At least Jasmine doesn't seem to have any of that stupid tinsel in her hair!

Do you think we will get a Disney Store blog post about her tomorrow or early next week? We usually get at least two or three pictures when a new doll is revealed and the Disney Store blog usually makes a post about it with more information.

I absolutely love the dark blue/green. I have the DFDC Jasmine set, which has similarities to this outfit. The shiny skin is distracting, but I'm sure the doll will look better in person. I must admit I'm not as excited about getting the doll now, but I will most likely buy it eventually.

Are we sure this is the 17 LE doll? Because I read this was a designer doll? I like the darker shade of green it looks very regal imo. Her outfit is nice but not a fan of the oily skin at all.

I believe that was an error. It is the 17 inch doll, but the Disney Store's original post accidentally said it was a designer doll. Its been edited since then I believe.

I thought it was odd that it was posted on the Facebook page today, and not on the Disney Store blog. Aren't the announcements usually concurrent or is my memory faulty?

I'm not really sure which is why I am kind of confused. I was under the impression that the doll is revealed on the Disney Store blog first with several pictures and details, or they release an image of some kind on the Facebook page first and then have a blog post with more pictures and information either the next day or at the start of the following week. Either way, we usually get more pictures than this. We didn't even get a picture of her with a background like all of the other dolls.
