2015 D23 Expo Disney Store Fairytale Designer collection pin set?
Do any sorcerer's out there have the price for the set? I'm trying to see if I can fit it in my budget for when it goes online.

Nevermind, I stand corrected by an ebay posting

I'll just save my money on something else that might come out to the general public...

Although, even at 1000 it probably won't make them that much more available or prices that much cheaper, in the long run. Maybe they don't go as high, but they'll probably still start at $75 or $100 a piece, and there are certainly other LE1000 pins that go for that. The Sorcerer package, can probably still clear out most of the inventory, and thus control the market. And pins are funny. Why can you pick up many of the WDI Frozen LE200/300 pins for less than the going rate of the Paris LE700 or UK1000 pins? DL LE3000 Diamond prices. But it is a step in the right direction. As much as people love their LE100s, you can't grow a market that way.

I do wonder if Disney is changing its strategy, re. the secondary market, a smidgen. Over at WDW, a merchandise app is coming which will allow people to order most park specific merchandise from their smart device, and have it shipped to your home. Obviously, some stuff won't ever be available (special event, food items, etc) but it's going to eat into the sales of the secondary market for regular merchandise. http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/mymag...k-shopping-experience-with-new-mobile-app.htm

Agree. The designer pins are always in such high demand that I don't see it making a huge difference or dent. Many will be purchased and then just stay in collections, even at 1000.

I'm not talking about the resellers when it comes to the increased edition size decision by Disney. I'm talking about the regular customers who buy directly from Disney.
I'm sure the past few years people have given the people working at store at D23 a lot of hell because only so many of those pin sets were available and were all sold out by time non-sorcerer(or whatever the top level ticket is called) ticket holders got a chance. From my years of working customer service through college: People. Are. Asses. Especially when it comes to stuff like this. I'm sure plenty of people then complained directly to Disney through email and phone calls.

And then remember when those sets went for sale on the Disney Store websites last year? It was like what, a grand total of 10 for the Euro store? I'm that prompted even MORE nasty emails and calls. And you all know how down right nasty some people get over pins.

How would Disney try to better satisfy the customers? Give more people a chance at obtaining the sets by making them LE 1000.

After market has nothing to do with decisions like this. And even as Melonballer said: "...this way Disney can make more money. They don't make anything on the secondary market, so they might as well get a larger cut."

$199.95 + tax so approximately $216 for those who bought at D23.

There are a LOT of Facebook sellers selling for $500-600 for the set. I read somewhere that the 2013 set was available for a minute on DS.com.

Just from what I've been reading on FB, I would estimate 200-300 sets were sold between yesterday and today. So, that leaves 700-800 sets. DS could sell 300-350 sets on each of those remaining days, leaving 100 or so to sell online (or perhaps in their Burbank store.)

It's got the D23 exclusive sticker on it. I don't think it's gonna be sold online or in any flagship store.

If they have extras they might offer them to D23 members only on the DisneyStore Website. They did this with a some pins in the past, like the Donald dressed As series. Or at least I hope they do that with these and some over the other pins they've been turning out.

Which reminds me I need to renew that...

I am so impressed with this set seeing it up close. I personally love the detail of each pin and would totally keep the whole set if I could and if they fit in my collections. Just for fun I thought I'd share my Elsa designer placement on my princess page - so happy to have both sisters with Hans - now I just wish they made the Anna and Hans pin a little bigger

=D

I did a bit of google research and it looks like the 2013 DFDC set showed up online after the expo in extremely limited quantities, available to anyone who was quick enough to get it.

I'm really starting to wonder of those d23 stickers really mean anything at this point. We've had a bit of exclusive merchandise already come online.

I've been looking at the stickers online (zooming in) and from what I can tell, it says D23 2015. I couldn't make out "exclusive" on the stickers.

People were making comments earlier about the edition size going up so much compared the the last few versions. The post on this site right here is part of the reason. This is one public post - now consider how many direct emails, calls, and other types of complaints Disney gets about the low edition sizes. This is why Disney made the increase.
