Congratulations to all who were able to get her in store! I'm hoping everything goes smoothly tonight and I'm glad some people will be up to chat with while waiting for it to go live. :)
 
I was able to get snow white in store today, but it was close, not everyone got one :(. I dislike raffles, I felt nervous and frustrated especially when some... big burly men kept being called out... (yes, everyone has a right to love snow white and collect dolls, I just didn't believe it with those guys, their attitude, etc).

My set is beautiful, but both snow and the witch are staring up at the stars in the sky... Ok, I know that's normal for the witch, but not sure I like snow's head tilted that much up. Unless I display them to be "looking at" something else? I dunno. Right now they are both admiring their own slipcover that I just put on top of the case for now. Since they're looking at their own artwork, it's like they're taking directions from it, being like "AH! That's what we're supposed to be doing!"

Snow's feet are positioned very cutely, one leg kicking backwards like the classic "kiss posture." Aww.
 
With all the pictures coming out today of this set, it'll be even harder to pass it up :( Hopefully I can save some money after doll season and purchase it for a low price on ebay :) I think she will be cheaper to buy then say the Rapunzel set, even though I think the Snow and Hag are much better.
 
Wow the pictures of the Snow White set are much nicer looking than I expected. I am not really a Snow White fan at all but my mom is a fan so I'm going to try and get this release for her as one of her Christmas Gifts(along with Ariel) I hope tonight goes smoothly as I can't get to the stores for any of the designer releases and I want to try and get Ariel, Rapunzel, and Elsa. I am going to the store for the Frozen Fever dolls I hope to get them as well. Good luck to all tonight and in the coming weeks as the other dolls release :)

Okay, that is a pretty amazing way to describe the tone of the set lol. Kudos to you on that one!

But seriously, the more I look at this set the more I want it. I never in a million years thought I would want a Snow White doll that wasn't the 17" version, but its just so well done! I am really impressed with how the Hag looks as well, and the sculpt is spot on. I am probably going to try and get it on the secondary market once I get the other dolls I have my priorities set on.
 
A truly spectacular set! now this is the type of quality and wow factor I expect for this type of thing. seeing all the pictures surface looks so much better! I have to wait for my whole set :( but totally worth avoiding the raffle. my store was a complete blood bath today 30 people 14 dolls. lots of anger lol.;.......... cant wait to get my set!
 
I would like to get Snow White, but for now I strictly collect 17in dolls. I'm just hoping when Snow White is rereleased Disney will make another le doll of her, which is most likely. But this Snow White doll really captures her innocence, I think she's the best of all the other designer versions of her.

I was worried the link would come up early too! I wasn't going to try for Snow until I saw how cute she looks in the collectors' pictures. They get me every time.

I think it's the same answer as with other things they used to do that they don't anymore: They figure they don't have to.

It wasn't the main cause of dollmegeddon, but it contributed. When they released the dolls it was one at a time at the store. I walked by Cinderella once, then weeks later saw Ariel and passed (I wasn't a doll collecter then) - then I saw the video and suddenly wanted a bunch of them. I guess many were hypnotized as the crowds started, and DisneyStore website came to a crashing hault. ha.
 
Oh gosh. That video brings back memories! I think out of that group of ladies, Ariel's dress was totally bombing. Loved it to pieces! Also, the little accessories like Rapunzel's mirror really made me fall in love with collecting dolls.
