DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I just wish my tracking numbers would update. I get the weekend, but it's Monday and three days since they updated! :(

My tracking number for Elsa is finally up and running on UPS! I received the blast-off email on Saturday, but I guess the order wasn't actually processed until this morning. :)

I hope everyone still waiting for their tracking numbers will get them as well!

Saturday isn't considered a business day for UPS when items ship ground. Same with Fed-Ex. So if you miss the cut-off time on Friday for either, they won't show up until Monday to pick up items shipped ground.

The LE orders take longer to get mailed out because they have to go through every one to make sure no one ordered doubles, they also have to fill thousand of orders at once for one product. Also Amazon has spoiled everyone :)

Again....
I have made other orders after the frozen fever dolls and all have shipped.
Also; do you seriously think that Disney has an employee sitting there going through each record one by one? They use an automated system to check multiple orders, they also use an automated system to send address to the warehouse, print the labels, stick them on boxes and finally be dropped in a crate.

This process requires minimal human work. And this has nothing to do with Amazon. It's Disneystore being a chaotic company that stupidly decided to release over 10,000 limited edition dolls a day before they opened their biggest sale of the year.

My frustration comes from having 4 orders placed after Wednesday and all shipped and in transit, while the frozen fever Anna doll still hasn't shipped.

Oh! Sorry I didn't think of that, but that makes me feel loads better about why I didn't get my tracking number at first. Thank you very much for letting me know! :)

I can certainly understand the frustration, but let's face it. We all know that Disney is notoriously slow at sending out their LE merchandise. Just try to be patient for a bit longer and I'm sure everything will work out.

So my FF Elsa came in today! WooHoo!!! I think so much about her and her box is amazing, so glad I got her! I do not own SQ Elsa as I mentioned earlier, so I have nothing to personally compare her to, only pictures. There are several things I noticed about her and I would like to share them with you and see if your dolls have the same thing going on:

1. She has that random forehead freckle, which I kinda expected, but the left side of her face has only 2 freckles while her right has the normal multiple amount. I found this strange. Also, her left cheek has less of a blushing than her right cheek.

2. Her cape is missing a pink gem on the largest embroidered flower. I was SO disappointed when I noticed this, but had the fleeting thought of checking her box before becoming completely defeated. When I took off only the outer lid and inspected the inside corners for damage, lo and behold(!), I see the missing gem stuck to the inside of the cover!! I could not believe it! I was thinking that the missing gem could have been inside the plastic cover, but never outside...anyway, point being, inspect those boxes folks!!! Also, does anyone have advice on how to reglue the gem?

3. She does not have articulated ankles. This bummed me out for some reason. Are all the FF Elsas like this? Because I'm thinking the FF Annas do have articulated ankles based on some online pics.

4. The top of her head is rock hard full of gel or glue or something. It's so stiff and has no characteristic Elsa shape, what's up with that? But her braid is HUGE and super soft! I'm meh about the tinsel...it's pretty, but where it's frayed it looks messy. I love the length though. I know it's not movie accurate, but still so gorge!

5. Her pale skin is sooo not shiny slash iridescent and I love that. I am so glad Disney decided against the shiny skin for this doll. Makes me happy.

6. Her box is amazing! That pretty snowflake and sunflower print is so unique and the flowers are just right. Plus her plastic window is such an adorable combo of snow and sun. :)

Love this "princess" Queen Elsa doll! She was totally worth staying up late to get and I am so happy for all those who got her too.

I will close by saying that I cannot WAIT for FF Anna!!! I have been biting my nails over her arrival all day. She has been in DS/UPS limbo since the 6th and UPS tried to tell me today she's still sitting in Memphis. DS said she was sent out on the 7th and only after I spoke with them did her tracking status update. But it seems like several other collectors have been seeing this limbo issue...So, Wednesday is the day and I hope I can make it till then. ;) Anna is my favorite of the two and if Elsa is this lovely, I cannot wait to see Anna.

Thanks for reading my super long post, y'all! Nighty night.

Yes I made some orders after the dolls and they arrived today but no dolls. Maybe Disney changed it now ,but I know in past releases when I wanted to order two LE dolls (because I like to debox one) I got an email from a cast member telling me my order could not be processed because it was 1 per household. I didn't get that email until regular business hours even though the order was placed at 2am, and when I checked Disney's site right after that email the doll was back up. It wouldn't surprise me if Disney changed it to an automated system though. I also thought UPS picked up the orders from Disney.
My comment about amazon was just refurring to their prime shipping service, you know where you can have a toilet delivered to your home in 48 hours. Having a shipping service like that has spoiled everyone.

I got Elsa but still no Anna. Elsa is absolutely gorgeous, I am so blown away, and beyond happy I didn't pass on her like I started to. I have yet to see the snow queen in person so I may be biased but I think I prefer Fever because of the colors.

overall I'm very happy.

i also arranged a meet up with someone tomorrow to sell my March 2015 dolls to make space & some extra cash for my Disneyland trip coming up. So thrilled they're going to a new home.

Well my Elsa is finally moving and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow ^_^ Anna is supposed to arrive today! So excited about both of them!

I also intend to sell of the March 2015 dolls (other than Kristoff). I never was a big fan of Elsa's outfit from that release, and Anna seemed a bit plain to me as well.

I think I'm in the minority because I was actually excited to get Regal Elsa. I don't know why but I liked that outfit in the movie and it's such an iconic scene for her too... it really reinforces how alone she feels when the room ices up around her.

My dolls finally updated and says they should arrive to my shipper on Wednesday. I really hope nothing happens to them!
After seeing the comparison pics I think I definitely prefer FF Elsa, she just is overall pretty and I love that her braid gets that bit thinner at the end (SQ braid always bothered me the more I looked at it!)

Can't wait to see a deboxer collector put FF Anna in Coronation Anna's dress! :D

You make a really good point about Regal Elsa, I never thought about it like that before.

My FF Elsa and Anna are due to arrive tomorrow! I'm really impressed international shipping was that fast. Hopefully they arrive in one piece.

I'm with you... I was disappointed in the promo pics when I first saw them. I didn't like the look of the material and it seemed a bit dark. In person though, I feel in love with the regal set. I think the dolls are very well done. I even like the shiny skin and tinsel in the hair (still don't like the shiny skin on Cinderella). I think the shiny skin is fitting on this set as it reminds me of moonlight hitting snow, or the aurora borealis effect. I like to see them do something a bit different and surprising with the dolls. I wouldn't pick Regal Elsa over the other Elsa dolls, but it is still a really beautiful doll. I think Anna is the better one between these two releases, but wouldn't want to part with either one. I like the Anna better than the one in the snow gear, even if the snow gear is more the iconic look.

It seems a lot of people want the iconic look all the time. I like to have the icon look, but it's been done. I don't know... I often feel the minority with the dolls. I guess it depends on why you collect. I like dolls in general and look at them as the doll first and character second. I love everything about Ariel too. She's what got me into collecting these dolls. It seems most the complaints are with the fact she doesn't look enough like the movie, but I love her look. I even really like the tail. That's one of the first things I noticed. I've never seen one done like that. It was so creative and lovely. I'd like to see them get more creative with the Frozen dolls. There's an appeal in having something that looks right out of the movie, but I like to be surprised too. They've kept the Frozen dolls more true to the movie than any others. The only thing they really went out of the box on was the skin tone on the regal set.

Has anyone in Europe ordering from the UK site received their dolls? I'm so anxious waiting for my FF Anna. The tracking number hasn't updated since Friday x.x I'm not sure it has even left UK yet :(

Congrats to everyone who has received their dolls safe and sound ^^

I liked Regal Elsa but she was definitely an impulse buy, and had Frozen Fever been released in March like everyone expected I wouldn't have bought her. Both dolls look nice but there's just a spark missing on both of them I feel when I look at my other dolls. When I look at my other dolls I feel warm and happy to own them, when I look at those two I like them and I think they're pretty but I also feel regret.

i also collect a ton of other dolls so for me space is a necessity, so if I don't love a doll, I'd rather give its space to a doll I will love, and give that doll to someone who'd love it more than me.

That is such a beautiful point! In a way that is also how I feel about March Anna, which I purchased back when she came out. I know there are a lot of collectors who dislike her, but for me the "epilogue scene" of Frozen symbolizes a new, brighter time for her character-it's the first time since childhood that she has a true relationship with Elsa, not to mention her newfound love with Kristoff. It might not have been her most popular outfit, but I'm happy Disney chose to make that version of Anna. And I don't personally own Regal Elsa, but what you said makes me appreciate the fact Disney made her much more as well. :)

Can't wait to see a deboxer collector put FF Anna in Coronation Anna's dress! :D

Me too! :D I really hope some pictures surface soon!

I'm glad you see where I'm coming from! I think I like it because you could put the dolls next to each other and tell a story... sad Regal Elsa saying goodbye to then losing her parents, nervously awaiting Coronation, running away to the North mountain to become the SQ, then reunited with her sister at the end. And Anna... excited about Coronation Day, in her Snow Gear to go save her sister, in her Epilogue dress (which did really grow on me too and I'm glad to have now) then her FF outfit on her birthday! So cute!! You can't really get to do that with many other dolls so I think this is kind of neat.

I still wouldn't say Regal Elsa is my fave but she's probably even with Coronation Elsa for me, and FF Elsa on top.

They finally arrived on monday morning (I live in Milano, Italy) The packaging is PERFECT, good job Disney! It's a huge box with two big boxes inside and they're like super protected! The dolls are breathtaking! They're my first 17" dolls (It's been like years since I wanted to get these LE Dolls but my parents didn't support me and at the time I was in my teens and jobless BUT NOW! ) and seeing them with my eyes... WOW, they're really huge btw! I'll need so many shelves to put them on in the future :O
Thank God my Anna is not missing any gems or something like that! They're both so beautiful and so perfect but for me Anna really stands out! I fell in love with her doll like right away! She's really amazing! And comparing this Anna to the other LE ones for me she has the best hair/face! The dress is cute and beautiful! My favourite dress is probably the Anna Coronation one though! Elsa is amazing too! Love her shoes, dress, hair, everything!

Here's some of my photos! (the details are STUNNING)

I really hope Disney will make a 17" for Hans! With real sideburns and all <3 I'm waiting!

My Elsa is set to arrive today!!! Now after hearing horror stories about the March dolls and people receiving the wrong dolls I hope Elsa actually shows up and not Anna...All these pictures of the dolls have me excited to receive her!!

Frozen_Jane I really like Regal Elsa too. I believe she is the only one with the aurora borealis finish on her face, which is really pretty and suits her character so well and goes perfectly with the purple sky in the windows in her background. The outfit is also, IMO, reflective of her story/personality as she really took her duty become a responsible queen seriously and believing that she had to restrict herself to do so (trying to do the impossible and even succeeding for a while). She really looks like the model of regal restraint, especially knowing she is only supposed to be a young teen at that point and soon to have losing her parents added to her burden - ever since her parents misunderstood how to deal with her gift, she had to grow up quickly, and this outfit represents that well. A tough time in her life where she has to push herself hard and I think many of us have to go through some times like that. "With great power comes great responsibility" and Elsa is determined not to let her people down, she pushes herself to control herself for others' sake. Her outfit is also quite detailed and seems especially realistic for a Nordic royal. She reminds me of real members of royalty, and inspires me to dig for willpower. And, of course we know the future for her, so it gives optimism during those harder times :) The LE doll is also the only way to get her in this outfit in any form, AFAIK, so for a major Elsa enthusiast like me, that is a plus as well.

She does look great with the FF Elsa because it's like reflecting the two sides of her. I have several issues with the FF short, but the look itself is very reminiscent of the SQ look - and that's what I choose to focus on - the sensuous flowy gown is reflecting her being comfortable with her true, magical nature, literally "letting her hair down" and feeling she can move freely, ice powers and all. More of a magical Elsa than regal Elsa, and still the Queen. A capable leader who is also comfortable with herself. It is the happy ending I was rooting for. But if she didn't go through her earlier phase, I wouldn't have been rooting so hard. I think more than any other character, Elsa's struggles are a very important part of who she is. I find her to be the most realistically complex Disney heroine yet. (And if Frozen 2 ruins all that I am going to ignore it pointedly!)

I belong to the minority, too, who loves Regal Elsa. She is the first and so far only LE doll that made me want to own her and I know about these dolls since Wedding Rapunzel. There is something in insecure, vulnerable Elsa who tries so har to meet thr requirements that I can relate to more than to Coronation Elsa or Snow Queen Elsa or Frozen Fever Elsa. :)

Edit: You got the point so much better then I did and I actually wanted to say something very similar. :)

I'm completely on board with what both of you are saying! I kinda hate the shiny skin on Anna, but I think the one doll it does work on is Elsa, and I know at least one other collector who feels the same way! The tinsel in Regal Elsa's hair does seem unnecessary, but I very much like her skin! That being said, I really don't care for it on Anna, as it makes her skin look plain oily! I was a bit disappointed when Regal Elsa was first released because I was hoping for the Frozen Fever Elsa even back then, but I do very much agree that you can tell a nice story with all of Elsa's dolls...regrettably I shall probably never own all of them (Snow Queen Elsa), but even so it's cool how they can illustrate the progression of Elsa's life from her journey as princess, to Queen, to revealing her powers, and finally ending with her learning to control them! True, she's not my favorite Elsa, but neither is she my least favorite of the LE dolls in general. I actually disliked the heirloom Movie Cinderella doll more than Regal Elsa, hence why I own one and not the other.

My FF Elsa arrived today and she is absolutely gorgeous in person!! Pictures do her no justice I absolutely love her! I have never posted a pic here before but I think I may try with Elsa. I am so glad I got her and into collecting Disney dolls/dolls I have met so many nice Disney loving people here and at the doll releases!
