Scoop Sanderson Doesn't Trade Anymore?

So I read recently that he has hanged up his trading lanyard indefinitely last year to focus more on news scoops, le sigh. I am curious if he is still out on Main Street and if so what days he is there, I would still like to get a picture with him if possible... 
 
I believe he still meets on Main Street with the other Citizens but I don't know his times/days sorry. If you ask at Guest Relations when you get to the park they should be able to tell you though.
 
I think he stopped around Aug-Sept 2015. When he was trading, he usually could be found on Main Street around 1:00 pm.
 
Correct, Scoop doesn't trade any more. :( but hopefully he'll start again soon. He usually pops up around 11:45 and 12:45 around main street. I've caught him on Mondays and Thursdays most this year. But you can check with Guest Relations and they should let you know. :)

For some reason, when I ask Guest Relations, they never know who Scoop is lol
 
I met him in April. He wasn't trading. I think it was a Wednesday (I was in Magic Kingdom multiple days, but Wednesday was my full day in that park), late morning to early afternoon.
 
Thanks guys, I'll have guest relations call the character hotline to see if he's available. Hopefully he's there on the day we visit this year...
 
Not cool. Some of us never got to meet him or trade with him. I always wish we had a trade guy at our parks. Hell I bet that a bunch of us would do the job for free. Come on Disneyland. Get with the program.
 
He still shows up at the local pin events (not as Scoop). One of the reason he stopped trading was the mad rush that would happen when he would show up. Greedy pin traders ruined it.
 
^^ exactly this. It was probably a foot traffic thing too, I'd been there on days when the crowd would form and no one would let anyone past. That and the "regulars" who would push to the front of the line and got mad when Scoop chose to trade with a child before them.
 
That's also why I never tried to meet him. I would have loved to talk to him about pins and pin trading before I joined, but I didn't want to seem like I was just stalking him to get some extra-cool pin.
 
I hate he does not trade anymore ..I loved doing that ,I was there a month ago and never got to see him

Ahh, the good old days of Scoop's pin talks (when they began, they weren't just Sundays). Learned so much, everyone was so friendly, ect. Can't tell you how many I attended.

Then came the greedy people, they know who they are, and just ruined everything in the last years. I felt bad for people who just wanted to meet Scoop. Just wasn't going to happen.

Honestly, I'm glad he gave it up, weather his decision or not. Now, you can go up to him and say hello and get your picture, just like the good old days!!!

Kennythe pirates website has the times "citizens of main street" (and other characters) appear, which is when scoop will be there (if hes on that day). We saw him a couple weeks ago, and he and the Fire Chief were having a fun conversation.....(we were talking to the mayor when they came out...)
 
I really like scoop he is such a lovely guy he gave me trading traditions pin and signed it for me and not just that he gave me 2 lovely castmember Christmas ornaments as well which was really nice of him bothe times I've met him there's Been pushing and shoving and no orderly que you can seem him in the morning he does the opening ceromany at magic kingdom before it opens
