Ok cool I'm from Lafayette. Pure Cajun, my great grandmother didn't even speak English! I agree that would be a great pin. They at least need to get the colors right though! You will never see a Mardi Gras jester hat with red in it or beads that are green gold and red!

There is nothing like a true authentic king cake! My 2 favorite places in Lafayette for king cake will ship them but it ends up costing almost $70 so not worth it unless you have never had one!

In other news! For those who haven't seen the actual pins from this set yet. :3 I'm not a huge fan of this style of enamel (it tends to yellow and there's always dust or something in it) but these are quite nice. :3

And! The one box I picked had Cogsy in it! What luck! XD

This makes me so upset. These were supposed to be for Pin Tading Nights two years ago! Figment is going to be a release here and Oswald in DLR.

Not really. When Pin Trading Nights still were going on, they usually released an accompanying pin, like at DLRP. These pins were marketed at GenEARation D as the PTN pins for 2016. They displayed a Figment and and Oswald one. And said PTNs were coming back to WDW and DLR. That never happened last year, so now they're just releasing the pins they designed for that event and we get no Pin Trading Nights. I miss PTNs! I want them back!

Edit: And on the pin and it says 2016 on the binder! I just wish they didn't tease me so.

I thought the design looked familiar! Well, that's just... hmmm. Disney is not impressing me this month.

I don't think that you can blame DSSH for a weather-delay pin release. With a forecast of rain from 4am to 12 noon, 20 mph wind gust and 50s temp, I was happy to see the delay to the following weekend.

In Wisconsin, we call that "spring." :lol:

No, I can appreciate that they want to keep people safe/comfortable. This month's releases (and lack of information thereof) just seem to be driving people nuts.

Hah, I was going to make the same joke. My sister and I are going to LA tomorrow from Chicago, and then we're driving to Palm Springs for Modernism Week. When our airline sent us the "warning" about the weather, I had to chuckle. The type of rain and wind CA is freaking out about is an everyday occurrence for us from April to mid-May.

Anyway, I'm hoping we have time to stop by the DSSH on our way, since I've never been before!
