As only a point of update, I decided to go through with the trade with GWishe despite having some misgivings due to the poor communication. My pins have been shipped and delivered to her and I have nothing to show for it and there has not been any further communication on her end. I started a Trade Issue with the mods at PinPics, so I am hopeful that this will get resolved. I'm unsure of what else can or should be done.

My only advice is to be careful and listen to your intuition and gut reactions. I hope that I didn't veer too much off topic. If so, please disregard my venting. Thanks!

Hi, I have also traded with Jacquesbernard. One of my first international trading experiences. I agree... very nice to trade with!
 
I just finished a big trade with romata73 on PinPics and HIGHLY recommend him. Like, I may love him *almost* as much as I love Merly-My-Sweet, and you know that's serious ha ha ha.

I contacted him about a one-for-one trade, and he responded very quickly. (Actually, of the three requests I sent at more or less the same time, he's STILL the only response I got. Not even a courtesy "no thanks" from the others.) We ended up exchanging a few messages and decided to do a multi-trade of 5 of his pins for 4 of my pins (the values worked). What I really liked is that HE was the one who initially said he was willing to trade but worried that I was disadvantaged (even though I offered the original trade) and asked if I was interested in any other pins. He also sent pix of the actual pins with no fuss.

He was consistent and pleasant in his communication (never left me hanging), shipped quickly, and packaged the pins well. They're gorgeous, and I love them, and I (who am cynical and suspicious, generally) am very happy to recommend him. Don't hesitate to make him a trade offer or respond to an offer from him! :)
