Here are the forum rules for the selling thread :

http://http://disneypinforum.com/showthread.php?40-Sales-Forum-General-Rules

Can everyone read them before commenting/ posting on the sales forum as poor bricklayer is gunna have a heart attack if you don't stick to the rules :(

There are also rules for the trading thread and general forum rules, all are quite simple to Comprehend and it also stops all the petty arguments on the site.

What a good idea grumpy, I'm not sure if they do the general forum rules when u sign up? It's been so long lol but its clearly marked at the top of the traders/sales page, I know this as I have not been posting on this site for a while and it's the first thing a read!

The only problem with that is people can tick a box without actually reading them, saying they have when they haven't.

Personally I think if u disobey the rules there should be some come back on it, depending on which rule u break etc but maybe even a temp banning would serfice and 3 temp bans and your gone. I dunno just some ideas, I also think this should apply to everyone on the site weather they SAY they have not read the rules, it's there own fault if they haven't read the rules unless maybe it's a brand new member etc there needs to be consiqenses like when telling of a small child if you don't tell them off they just run riot. Rules are made for a reason.

Kind of like the CA. 3 strike your out rule, I agree.

Actually there is a rule, and a punishment as well. Yes i would love where you have to check a box saying you have read the rules of the WHOLE forum for posting and will abide by them before you are allowed to sign in/up. then it is set in stone so to speak. if the rules get broken you will be dealt with accordingly and you can't say you werent told as you checked the box saying you read and UNDERSTOOD the rules of the forum! and if the rules do change or get added then you need to recheck and sign again. simple.

Yes it's just implementing it on a forum with so many members lol it is hard :) maybe the mods could look in to this? :) and they do need to implement to rules by punishing otherwise no one would listen if people want to act like naughty children then they should be punished like naughty children otherwise it will be the downfall of the forum :(

I mod on a website similar, but different to this one[as it doesn't deal with pins! xD] and we have tiers of warnings for each rule someone breaks, whether it be harassment, spamming, scamming, etc. They do help for a lot of people when they get a warning and realize "hey, I better not do that again" but for the ones who don't listen it's good to let them know their account is lost.

I also run a ferret forum lol nothing to do with Disney and I have the 3 strike rule etc lol and warning normally works :) but my forum does not have this amount of members to work with lol

There was a lot of high tension in the air last night (must be this new-fangled D23). I think everyone is a lot less tense today though, and hopefully I'm right about that :)

Edit- Just read Leo's sale thread and after Brick posted, everyone shouted "not me!" I think people are mad, they have a right to be, but the situation is quite different from any other situation with selling a pin. As always, hoping for the best.

Not sure how many users are on DPF, but on the website I mod there is 120k accounts, and each person is -allowed- two accounts, so efficiently, there is roughly 50-55k people, taking out 5-10k for people we've frozen. :P

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but it does relate to the whole rules/drama/sale thread issue. And I realllllllly don't want to stir the pot. But if you have an issue with someone based on their thread or their actions, PLEASE keep it in Private. By posting it on the thread, all you are doing is giving people an excuse to yell and argue. Lets keep it friendly in the forum please. And one last thing. Everyone, and I mean Everyone, has a right to do whatever they want with their pins. They own them, and while you may not agree with what they do with them (be they sell them at a high price or not want to trade them), they are their pins.

Lets be civil. Remember (and I keep saying this over and over) that Pin Trading is a Hobby!

I think some people vent their frustration and don't realize that people might the rant as a bash or insult. I know that has happened to me. I ask a question not thinking about how the other person might see it. I'm trying to do better. But lately Disney really makes mad.

Ha ha love it :) that should be the DPF motto lol

I know, right? It should really be the greeting video for any forum

You totally have a right to vent! Where else can we vent about things like this than with people who understand? Disney can make us so happy one moment and so unbelievably annoyed the second. That's the nice things about forums- we can talk with each other about both the good and the bad

Thanks for the clip Story ! The Disney forum I moderate on , you have to be referred and first post is moderated in the holding cell . But it works and we are one huge UK/US family . I had the pleasure of attending the administrators Disney wedding . Both of them are from the UK . Talk about a fairy tale wedding ! Wow, from Cinderellas coach to Mickey & Minnie at the reception . 100 guests, sit down dinner , open bar, DJ , the works . Two children later and she's still paying it off .

I think it's good to rant on occasions we all do it we just have to remember to start a new thread and not post it under a sales post :) lol and not make it personal in the rant cos then u just up set loads of people all at once :) I just started this post as bricklayer will be having a heart attack if we don't pack it in lol and we don't want that :)
