I've bought or traded for pins in boxes in the past but I wasn't tempted to leave them in the box. They go on their respective boards. But with these anniversary Mulan pins, the boxes are so lovely that I'm really torn. On the one hand, the boxes really enhance the pins. On the other, the pins would enhance the heck out of my Mulan board. I expect people have run into this with other collections. What did you do?

I think the obvious answer is to buy doubles!!

In all seriousness, i take mine out of the box, so hopefully others will have more relevant input

I only have one box set that remains in its box, and even that one I go back and forth on frequently whether or not I want to bite the bullet and take them out. But almost always I debox them.

I'll echo the deboxing. I haven't found a box that's nice enough to really justify keeping pins in them. If I did, I might set them on a shelf in the box like a shadow box.

Sadly, most of my boxed sets remain packed away, living in darkness in the under-the-bed-drawer of my childhood bed which now just holds things in our library. I have a couple of boxed pins on display (mostly Figment and Dumbo). I have taken a couple (mostly patriotic) sets out of their boxes and put them in a frame. I kind of want one of those shadow box coffee or end tables. But my house is too small. Something like this: Jeff’s Coffee Table Shadow Box

Did you see the cost of these things???? :dies:

Yes, but that one is hand-crafted. There are other similar things more mass produced and sold by furniture stores. That was just the first picture I found with one I really liked.

And come on, it's only the price that Rapunzel Disney Girl R/C pin was going for a few years ago. Or the price of a couple BTs. $2000 is cheap considering the value of what you would be displaying inside of it. :D

For the budget conscious here's the $269 version from Urban Outfitters. Although, it's only half the width of the other one. Shadowbox Coffee Table
