Hi Lady Ariel, was yours an online order or an expo order? Just wondering if they are doing the online orders first and then the expo ones as i havent received my shipping email yet.

I did the group buy online. But yeah, it sounds like there is no rhyme or reason as to shipping the expo buys, and the online buys. I would definitely give them a call (if you can) by the end of the week if you still haven't received anything; no "order on its way" e-mail, no tracking numbers, and you can't access your order page.

Hoping you'll get your tracking info soon!

My Beauty and the Beast Fairy Tale Couple came this morning. Of course, the cat tried to dart out the door as I am carrying in the box. grrrr. And it is raining, but I have overhang, so the box was fine.

After the initial feeling of relief that it was not damaged in any way, the next thought that popped into my head was "What were people complaining about?" They are gorgeous! Currently favorite couple so far, although I adore Rapunzel's dress. I love that Beast was molded and not furry--only because they can't make a decent furry Beast. It is just cheezy looking when they try. This Beast is regal. He does tower over Belle, even if some pics showed them to be the same height.

There is one weird little thing with his head, which I know someone else mentioned. The area where his hair sticks out behind him is hollow. If you turn the box over and look at an angle, you can see that. Otherwise, it really should not be much of an issue. Who is going to stand underneath and look at an angle other than on initial inspection? I love it, and I am happy that her eyelashes are not freakishly long and tangled in her hair like Jasmine's were. These are just normal length false lashes. One other quibble is her two ringlets in front. They hair sprayed the ringets to tuck into her hair, and there isn't much of a ringlet either. Kind of looks messy. I was okay with ringlets, just give me actual ringlets.

Even so, love them, love them, love them. Jumps up and down. So worth the money and waiting up till 3 am.

I like that beast at least has a furry tail :)
Does he really? I don't unbox, and all I can see are the coat tails hanging over his rump area.

Congrats sheldoal! This set is also one of my favorites and the best BatB dolls that I've seen in a while!
I agree that this is my favorite Belle and Beast. I am not a fan of the Designer Belle or the LE 17" ones.

I should get Belle and Beast tomorrow. i cant wait to see them in person. I have yet to see them in person. By the time I got to the store (and missed out on their raffle) the display was even gone. Hoping that I love them.

I liked them from the original pics, even when it mistakenly appeared that they were same height, and seeing them in person just blew me away. I think, in particular, I am fascinated with Beast. Definitely see what people meant by "pics don't do justice; must see in person." The hollow hair area is a bit weird, but I don't see it when he is on display, so who cares. Hope you love them! And if you don't, you can get a pretty penny for them on secondary market. How cool is that.

Im not a deboxer but I can see his tail in the back of mine. I'll try and get a pic but might be too dark.

I really love this entire collection and think this is the most beautiful Belle doll they've ever created. BUT Beast's floating head really bugs me. I'm not sure what they could've done about it without sending production costs through the roof, though, so I can look past it--or at least try not to think about it. It's so weird that you can look under his chin and see inside his head. I realize the solution is to display them low enough you can't see it, but these dolls were on display up high in the store, and it looked pretty stupid.

I pick up my set on Friday, so I'll know soon enough if he'll look okay in my display. I guess instead of complaining I should just be happy I managed to get a set online after the raffle eluded me.

Good luck to all of us trying to acquire Eric and Ariel next week!

Weeeeeeeeeeee....... Finally! Order it's on it's way! e-mail. I hope they get here Friday, or I'll have to wait until Tuesday due to Columbus Day :( . Though that date would be the exact available date Disney predicted hehe...

I got my blast off email from Disney today! Means that my designer set is on its way! Yay I am so excited! I am a little anxious about the shipping though. I got my limited edition dolls sent to me (along with a few other items I had ordered) and because of the dimensional weight it ended up costing me $400 to have it all shipped to me! That is pretty much 4 more limited edition dolls!!

Which means that getting this designer set shipped to me is probably going to cost me a little over $200 :( Gosh I wish I lived in the US!

For some reason, the way you wrote about the Beast's floating head made me laugh. I just got my doll set in today and oh my gosh, I am SOOOO glad I got them. I almost decided against it because I wasn't sure (I don't live by a Disney Store, the closest is 4 hours away) so all I had were the pictures to look at, but in person, they are the best Belle and Beast dolls Disney has ever made, in my humble opinion. I was a little shocked when I noticed Beast's head was "floating", and it almost bothered me, but I am going to try to fix his jacket to try to cover that "dead" space, or just display them so it isn't too noticable. This is the only set I have purchased so far. I mainly collect TLM stuff, so I am definitely going to try to get Ariel and Eric. They are the couple that I MUST get for my collection, which I might add, is pretty cool.

Happy your dolls are their way!! not so happy about those shipping costs :( Wow thats a lot on shipping, then again it is international. At least your dolls will soon arrive at your door step :)

Oh my gosh! I never noticed. I went to look just now, and you can see emptiness. His jacket is pulled over enough on mine that I didn't really notice till I looked specifically at that area. So he has floating head and hollow hair. Oh well. I love him anyway. :)

My sister just got her blast off email too! However, she has 2 tracking numbers one for the dolls and one for the bags. I found that funny. two packages and one of them for the gift bags? Does it appear like this for anyone else?

Maybe the jacket pulling will do the trick. Honestly, I didn't even notice on mine until I read Quasimodo's comment and went to look. Maybe some jackets are less pulled over, allowing you to see the emptiness more? I wonder if you could buy a little black velvet and tuck into the empty space to cover the fact it is empty?

I can imagine with plastic in way, it might be hard to get good picture. I think it is adorable that he has fluffy tail, even if I can't see it on mine. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! :)

I did not open mine, so I am not sure, but is the floating head remark due to him not having a full body or something? I did not take a closer look and from simply looking through the case, I did not notice anything. I also collect TLM, I have things that date back to her release in 89. I am very proud of my collection, only thing is more than 85% of it is in a storage unit. We move around a lot and I could not risk anything breaking as the majority of my things are fragile items. I really can't wait for next week, I think I will burst into tears if I can't get Ariel. She is the only one I really, really wanted. My sister ordered the set and was going to give me Ariel as she knows that I am a hardcore Arielholic, but now my niece wants the Ariel set. I am not going to lie and say I am not disappointed and a bit angry, but it is what it is. My sister told me that if I can't get an Ariel set she will still give me the doll, but my niece is throwing tantrums so I just hope I can get the doll so that everyone is happy. I also have another niece begging me to try and get one for her. Originally I was going to give the raffle a shot to try and get her one since mine was secured and now this. Anyway-Ariel rant over. I just really hope that everyone who truly want the set for their collection have the opportunity to get them, they are gorgeous!! ♥♥♥

Whew! So glad that you got the shipping confirmation e-mail. I'm also sorry to hear about the gross cost for shipping from the US to Australia. That is really painful to hear! In the end, though, I am sure that you will be very happy with all of the new dolls when you have them in-hand! :)

Yup! It's the same for my doll set pre-order: one for the dolls and one for the gift bags. :p

It's so great that your sets are on the way. I hope they all show up perfect. I must be honest that I'm a bit jealous of not getting the whole set at the get go. With the help of link fairies, I've gotten all of the dolls so far, but none of them made me as nervous as Ariel. I am hoping for very happy people on here next Wednesday when we all have sets in hand or on the way! The grand finale for the year is almost here!

I received the same thing too, as Shiva said I received two tracking numbers one for the set and another for the bags. I even received two blast off emails, one showing both the set and the bags have been shipped and another showing that the bags have just shipped.

Thanks Shiva, yeah I know it is crazy when it comes to shipping, I was expecting it to be a bit but not that much. I will be excited when I do get my dolls though, I cannot wait, shame its a public holiday in the US on Monday, means I probably wont get my set until Tuesday which means that I probably wont get it shipped to me here in Australia until the following Monday :(. Gosh the waiting is what is excruciating haha. So near yet so far!
