It's a bit strange that DSF hasn't made a calender series for this year? I thought it was a yearly thing they did.

The calendars have never been big sellers at DSF. At least, in the past three years that I've been going, they sit on the shelves for weeks/months. (They still have Inside out and Good Dinosaur for sale, and those are only LE300.) I would guess it's low sales over WDI doing a set, since the WDI pins aren't readily available to the public.

With the Event "sell-out" being at least 1,000 people (last year's Gift sets being an LE of 1,100) you should be okay for several weeks after Registration opens. See you all there

During the event last year, I heard from some of those who went to the breakfast that they didn't get to go through the pin boards as many times as in previous years and some felt that the $ they spent wasn't worth one or two extra passes at the boards. I wonder if that was why the breakfast was cancelled?

I am very frustrated that there is no February flyer. It makes it hard to plan anything, or decide if I want to buy a pin now or a different pin later in the month. I so miss the old site-it's consistency and especially it's archives. It had every pin (LE and OE) released since 2000 searchable by its name. There were new pins to look at every week almost. I so, so miss it!
If you aren't already looking there--try the Disney Pin blog that is not an official Disney site. It's doing the best job right now of showing us the pins. And Disney--SHOW US THE PINS!

New pins - not official Disney trading pins I guess but still cute:

Ah, BoxLunch! Thanks, Kate!

I've been meaning to visit BoxLunch, but I've heard tht it will be dangerous for my wallet. Supposedly it's owned by some of the original Hot Topic founders. So these are probably the same as the ones that are sold by Hot Topic - not official Disney releases but they are officially licensed.

we have one in our mall. I've avoided purchasing anything yet, but that's only because I'm having a bit of an existential crisis about my collections. If I had no hang-ups I would have spent a fortune.

And FYI, it's called Box Lunch because every $10 you spend, they buy a meal for people in need.
