2017 Pin Releases

Got bubkes when trying at noon (9 pst), then saw the post here 30 min later and was able to snag a pair of TLM's :)

Just let the page do its reload thing, and where once the page had sold out in front of everything, I clicked continue and only Mary Poppins was sold out.
 
I recruited a coworker to help me try because I am not quick on the draw with this sort of stuff. Coworker was able to click one of everything and get to checkout when the server crashed on him so he called DSF and left a message. I was not able to get in so I went for a walk on my lunch hour to clear my head. Get back from walk and coworker says DSF returned his phone call and walked him through the web page and he was able to get BATB, Aladdin, and LK. Yippee!!!

For those of you who missed out, I caution you to not go to the Bay now. Sellers are going crazy and people are hyped. Let things settle down a bit before you click those "Buy it Now" buttons. There's some serious inflation happening and the pins aren't even shipped yet!

I finally got through! And found only Aladdin left. Which is going to my coworker in exchange for one of his WDI pins... So.... Yay?

I'd also encourage people to wait and see if any/all of the orders actually get filled (rather than a lot of cancellations due to pins being oversold). And then expect a lot of them to have quality issues, because DSF. Don't buy/trade any of these until they are in hand, folks.
 
It is the funniest thing. There are people on FB saying it sold out in 2 minutes, but clearly that isn't the case. XD;; There may still be one or two popping up here and there as everything settles.

Yes, I've checked back a few times in the past hour and there's been a stray one pin available. So keep an eye on it!

Yeah, this was my biggest concern about buying a set, sight-unseen. Even if my order is fulfilled, what condition are the pins going to be in? Honestly, since I'm viewing them as potential traders, I'd rather my order get cancelled due to overselling (with a prompt refund, cough cough) than get lousy pins.

YES! Hold off until pins are in hand. I really do wish that we were allowed to go pick them up in person from DSF.

It's a unique circumstance for this one release as of now. The original release (last week) was canceled due to weather. And DSF got so much guff for canceling, that they decided to do an online release (which... Also got them guff XD)
