2018 Pin Releases

I was in queue as soon as it came up. It let me in at exactly 12:30/9:30 and everything but the BH6 set was sold out.
 
I didnt manage to get anything from the online release today but those gold pins make up for it, 10/10 will pay out the nose for

The pins blog posted it, and this is all that was said about it. “This was spotted at Disneyland
Resort, but will be available at Walt Disney World as well. “

Ah, looks like I'll have to wait till it winds up on eBay somewhere, since I don't live close to either park - unless they're still available when I go to Disneyland in October!

The rest of the sets in this style ended up on the app and website. So keep an eye out. (We also have people here who offer park pick-ups.)

Yep, Ann called it. A lot of sets of this kind are on the shopDisney site (they call them "flair sets"). They have also been regularly restocked in the parks, so it is quite likely you'll be able to find one when you go!
 
The next PTN for Disneyland is scheduled for August 23. Here are the details from the site:

Register for the Disneyland Resort Pin Trading Night Event beginning at 1:00 PM EST on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Please note that space is limited. Register now. (<----- that link will go live at the registration time)

Things to Know Before You Go:

  • The Disneyland Resort has updated park rules regarding items that may be brought into the theme parks. Guests should be aware of the restrictions on bags (including suitcases, backpacks, trailers, wagons) and folding chairs. Please carefully review the list of prohibited items and other park rules.
  • Theme park admission is required but not included as part of the event. Guests 3 years of age and older must have an event ticket to enter this venue.
  • Event check-in will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Starcade, Tomorrowland, Disneyland Park.
  • Guests of Disneyland Resort Merchandise Events must register in person and may not register for another event Guest.
  • Parking is not included as part of the event.
Event attendees may pre-purchase the Channel 28 Collection pins via the Random Selection Process. Channel 28 Collection pins commemorate many of the shows and characters that viewers were first introduced to on their big box television sets (e.g. Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.) Interesting idea for a theme. Sounds like I won't need anything from the RSP though, unless they do a really cute Daisy by herself (which is unlikely).

I usually like kawaii things with large eyes and cutesy proportions but the heads on these are just TOO big. I feel sorry for the kitties.

I feel like the pins would look better if they left the bodies off altogether.

That said, I’ll be wanting Figaro for my collection. Because he’s Figaro.
