In HKDL they do! I went during a pin weekend, and in the pin store there was a game where you threw Tsum Tsums into pyramid of Tsum Tsums trying to knock them off a pedestal. The cost is like a lanyard or board trade, so the other guests just give them scrappers. If you won you got a brand new Hidden Mickey pin, if you lost, they gave you a random pin from a big cardboard box which was all scrappers (except for the real discounted booster pack pins we gave them).
 
My fiancee and I had pretty good luck on the boards but I agree that it definitely felt like some were lacking at times. I'm glad that only one of us got the extra tabs and were able to split them between us because I don't think we would have used them all if we both had gotten extra tabs.

It was the worst day 1 trading we’ve ever had-

Seems to be more resellers and ‘my stuff is gold yours crap’ than actual ‘let’s trade!’ People this year and most seemed to stay long enough to meet with friends and leave without trading so hopefully tomorrow is better-
