This morning I was watching 2 auctions on Ebay. The first was for:
pin31046

When I went to bed there was one bid, but when I checked this morning it was up to $31.55. What! I thought to myself, yeah it's Captain Hook's, but they made 10,000 of these. Do they really go for that much? After, a quick search, I saw that another one of those pins was available with a BIN for $14.99, and in completed one didn't even sell for $7.95. So your friendly, Ebay reminder of the Day is: "Don't get so caught up in bidding that you end up paying more than a BIN." And the buyer has almost 750 feedback, so not a newbie.

The other auction was for 3 pins.

The first 2 pins I don't need, but the last one is a grail pin for me, I've been working on that darn scroll set for years and years. I kept waiting for someone to bid, but no one ever did. I got all 3 pins for $2.99. So 2nd friendly reminder, is that "Patience, really will pay off."

And now everyone can join me in a grail dance. I just hope I haven't jinxed myself, and a package will go missing.

Congratulations on your Grail find! :hsd:

A while ago, I saw a Tron Space Paranoids pin go for $320.00 - it was a bidding frenzie - I was in early - but stopped at about $25.00! I wonder if the seller got the $$ on that one.. Good advice you give.. :)
