Are you a completist?
No. I am not a completist. I don't want to drive myself that crazy and take the fun out of it. I have to like the pin and not every pin in a collection is always desirable. I love Mickey Mouse but I have seen many MM pins that I just don't care for. For me, I want to be able to look at my pins and love how they look. Having them ALL means you may be collecting pins that you may not be real crazy about. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents.

I am trying to get all the pins from this group..

Here's what I have so far..

sosai, I always love your collection. I have a plastic prototype mock up for Julie Andrew's 2004 Ambassador pin that was used for approval before they went to the regular metal version. It was made last min before the event in 2004 to announce their plans.

I couldn't afford to be a completist  I just collect the pins I like the look of. My main collection is obviously Lion King but if I see a stitch pin I like, I wouldn't hesitate to get it.

Well... looks like I'm the only "ones I can get easily" so far. There are certain things that I collect (Couples, Pete, and to a lesser extent Stitch), but mostly I just grab cool stuff that's within my reach. There aren't a lot of options in Oklahoma, so when I do get to go to the parks I go a little crazy. I only have a few things that I would consider "keepers" and it's certainly not because they're worth a lot... they usually just have sentimental value to me. When I'm at the park I trade like crazy... almost exclusively with CMs. I know this greatly increases my scrapper risk, but I like the fun of the trade and finding something new.

In my last trip, I did start a "collection" just from trading with CMs (the Princess toddlers series). It wasn't something I intended to do, I just chanced upon three of them in one day then made it my goal to find the rest. I kept saying that I was collecting them for my little girl (and the other on the way), but I think we all probably know that was just an excuse. Ended up being one shy of the set, but it doesn't bother me all that much. Will I look for it the next time I go? Definitely. Will I watch the electronic bay for a posting? Probably not.

I am a collector and a completist by nature (comic books, Pokemon - yes, I've caught them all... at least until October), and it's a real struggle not to have that same mentality with pin collecting. Luckily my budget keeps me from going overboard and helps me be realistic in my pursuit. I'll probably never pay more than rack price for a pin, and I'll probably never have a super-ultimate-rare-grail-pin in my collection or "every" disney couple pin out there, but I'm totally okay with that.

I'm complete for Wreck-It Ralph. I'm complete for John Carter (yes I loved the movie, but I garaunee zero more pins ever.) I am complete for retail Grand California hotel and only need a few CM's for true completion. I am 13 Pin Trader Delights away from completion and about 24 marquees. But I only have hope for the PTD's. I collecto princesses but know I will never complete any so I just collect the nice ones. I want to be a completionist with Star Tours but I am probably 20 pins away. That was my first collection but the old stuff, especially all the press stuff is super hard to get. I completed my own little mini PODM set of princess PODM's with the princess in the cell frame. That was a fun little challenging set. Not sure what else to do yet. I am also after Astro Obiter and Rocket to the Moon pins. I love outerspace stuff. Space Suits are cool but there are some LE100's that will be annoying to find.

I'm a Valiant, The Wild, Eight Below, Shaggy Dog, Santa Clause 3, Bridge to Terabithia, Underdog, The Game Plan, College Road Trip, Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus 3D, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Race to Witch Mountain, Oceans, African Cats, Secretariat, The Last Song, Mars Needs Mom, Real Steal and Chimpanzee completist

You forgot Carsland!

Ahh! I knew I forgot something, it just felt weird when I was typing. I was even gonna say (THANKS TO GRIM!!!) I still need one of the Luigi & Guido travel pins from this year but I will have it eventually so I'm not too worried. It's not like an LE that sold out at a past point in time. Can't wait for the 1 year anniv pin!

I am a completist, but I am not a "need it now" person. So the HTF, the expensive and the ugly are more on the continual "ten year plan."

My thoughts exactly about my Pluto collection. There are so many I have to be patient. I am very close to having all of the Fifi pins there are, though. I also have almost every Pluto Valentine pin(still need two, one of which I may never get). As far as my Snow White collection goes, I only collect the pins I like.

On a side note, I enjoy collecting Wall E, Stitch, and Dinosaur pins for my son. It's like having side collections when I hit a brick wall with my main collections.

I can be a completest when I want to be. Right now though, the only collection of mine I'm going to eventually complete is my Wreck-It Ralph collection, since that's my favorite movie. I just started on that one though, so that might take a while XD. Other than that, I just collect the ones that I really like :).

I feel I am a completist, But I do mainly yty to stick with certin character/themes, but I have really do like alot of the mystery sets, I think for 2 reason as a new collector.. I like the suprise it is also another way for me to get traders plus build my collection, I do feel I am going to try to norrow thinkgs down some not, I was playing different games so I could win pins I like plus also gain some pins that where nice that I could add to my collection or to use as traders.. But i would like to get most of all if not all of my top 2 character right now and I know they will not be easy, But it is oswald and also maurice Belle's dad

Only for Wreck-it Ralph am I a completist and I would like to keep it that way
For 'it's a small world' I don't collect all of them, because some of them are just really plain ugly. Some are really cute though so I only collect the ones I really really like :) And there are too many pins to catch up on haha

For certain series I am a completest. If I tried to collect every Donald pin, I would drive myself crazy. So when it comes to characters or popular pin topics, I collect what I like. But if it's something like the Piece of Disney History series, then I am a completest and want to own them all.

It depends on the set/theme. If it's Beloved Tales, WDI Characters with Sorcerer Hats, PODM's, Window to the Magic and Pixar Shorts then yes i think I would want to be a completist. Since those groups are smaller I'd like to get them all. Some of the bigger/more general movies that I really like such as Beauty and the Beast etc I don't want every pin made of them because that would be too huge.

Umm...does being a completist by dumb luck count?

I'm a Tangled completist because that's what got me started collecting in the first place - I just happened to be in WDW and after seeing the movie in DTD for the 7th or 8th time (no, seriously) I logged onto DS.com and happened to see all the pretty Tangled pins and bought them while I was still in the parks haha.

I've thought about being an Enchanted completist but I gave the elusive Japan cinema Pip pin to a very good friend instead :)

I'm a completist for:
Figment -- about 370/500ish (even have a few LE 1's )
Mr Toad -- 60 ish
Tron -- 25 ish
Horizons, Kitchen Kabaret, and Star Tours Piece of History's (have 8 of 10)

My main collection is Pocahontas, it's only small at the moment, but I hope to one day own them all ^_^ so I am a completist for Pocahontas! I also would love to own all of the world of color pins as the show is one of my favourite things ever ^_^! I have 3 side collections of Atlantis, Emperor's new groove and Enchanted. But I am not really bothered about completing them! I don't even own an enchanted or Emperor's new groove pin yet haha! But they are something I would love to collect :)! I am also thinking of starting a Hunchback collection! But at the moment I am mainly focusing on Pocahontas and World of colour, they also overlap a bit since there are a few world of color pocahontas pins ^_^ hehe x

I am not a completest. I like castles, crowns, globes, some princesses, some Mickey's but I'd rather have more pins that I like than to purchase pins I don't like just to complete a set.

Here are my main collections:

I collect Brave because it reminds me of my mother and myself. I mainly collect Elinor and Merida pins for this reason, and I'm still missing two of them haha. I do love the movie though so any other really nice pins that go with the series look great to me. There are some that I can do without, however (the new Easter egg pin is just eh for me, I decided).

I collect Mulan and Fa Zhou because it reminds me of my late father and myself, or rather, what we could have been! Fortunately there are only four pins of the two solitary figures together, and I have 3/4. Hopefully I can consider myself a completist of this collection soon!

I collect Stitch because he is cute and fluffy (and slightly evil at times). I would love to complete certain sets of Stitch, such as the Stitch Invasion series of him in other movies, or him with other characters period. Those are my favorite pins. Stitch pins make me laugh, which is really fun to me, and makes me love them. But some I think are just plain hideous and I would never add them to my collection!

I collect Gaston because, well, I just love the man to pieces. I prefer pins of him as a single character, but I also like ones of him with Beast (like the 110th Legacy collection). I will never consider myself a Gaston completist, because I can't see myself making the effort to get all of the pins, ever. I have higher priorities!

I collect Pocahontas as much as I can, but unfortunately her harder pins are REALLY, REALLY hard (way more than I originally thought), but she is my favorite princess (well, tied with Merida). I would like to be a Pocahontas completist, but I have barely even started to even attempt to call myself that haha.

I collect orange kitties because of my precious kitties who are no longer with me. I also would not consider myself a completist of these either. I just get them as I can for my display, as memorial tokens :) Some I like more than others for sure though!

And I collect princesses when they are pretty, plain and simple. I think its rather impossible to consider oneself a completist for princesses haha. However I WOULD like to complete the princess Beloved Tales series...though I find this to be rather unlikely haha
