Beauty and the Beast PODM :)

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and through discovering this board, I have also discovered PODMs. I just heard that Beauty and the Beast PODMs will be released on thanksgiving day this year. I would dearly love one of these pins. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorites and an all time classic. I would like to purchase one as close to retail as possible since I am a teen. Is anyone willing to go to the event at WDW and get one for me? I have a few scenes in mind that I'd like and I will add pictures below of them, but I'd just love to have one as I've never had a PODM pin before.

If you are able to get someone to get you a PODM, there's no guarantee of scene, typically no option to choose amongst the scenes that the collector gets.

It's going to be hard to find someone selling you close to retail because (1) PODMs are sought after; (2) this release is on Thanksgiving Day (unless it's been changed) so unless the person has an AP, there is only one location at DLR and one location at WDW (DTD) that is accessible to someone without an AP; (3) one person is limited to two pins and the primary reason someone is going to go DLR or WDW on T-Day is because he or she collects the pin. Rumors are that WDW is going to have a wristband release too which would severely limit someone from park-hopping.

Thank you Jadeite-lady! As for the price, I have seen Mulan PODMs pre-sell here for $45-50+ and that's fine with me, I am just not willing to pay close to $100 for one. What is an "AP", might I ask?

I am on the East Coast of the United States.

I hope they do change the date.That seems really out there for Disney to release PODMs of such a classic and fan favorite film on a Holiday, especially Thanksgiving Day!

Just in case someone does get the chance to choose, for scenes I'd like pretty much anything with Belle in it. Her in her ball gown, her during the "Belle" number, "Be Our Guest", or "Something there"... I also like Lumiere and Mrs. Potts as well.

I spoke with someone at the circus event and they said when they picked all POTM releases on The third Thursday of the month they did not think of holiday but at that time they were not going to change the release date, I am glad it is on that day so my husband and kids can go and get me more then if I went. as of wristbands I have not heard anything of that the Mulan release went really well I guess I will find out more on November 2 the next PTN

An AP is an annual passport. This allows admission into the parks on various days. I don't know how WDW does their APs (they have various ones) but for DLR, the only APs that let you into the parks on Thanksgiving (without having to pay a $60-70 b-out day fee) is the Premium (good for 365 days of admission) and the Premier (good for both DLR and WDW, 365 days).

The PODM pins are released on the 4th Thursday of each month and for November, happens to fall on Thanksgiving Day.

For pre-buying, if you can't find someone here, you might consider ebay. I've seen a lot of pre-sales for other PODMs around the price you are looking for ($49.99), although I don't recall if that price includes shipping.

Yep. Especially because Beauty and the Beast is such a popular movie and a lot of people collect it. There are plenty of helpful and generous members in the pin trading community, but this release is definitely going to be a rough one. Good luck on your search

Yes!! That's exactly like me with Alice PODM pinS. I had no idea of PODM pins until last month and I was in awe. lol
