Bidder/ buyer beware Jessica as Alice and queen of hearts
I can understand the pupil being smaller, but the pin itself should fit exactly over the real one if it was made from the same mold, right?

Well, yes and no. The problem is that the pictures were taken by two different people with two different cameras and not at the exact same angles. The angle of the pin in the picture can also distort the proportions and I can tell that my pictures are from a slightly different angle that the other one. So the real question is how much impact that has. But for me, the real convincing part is her face. Those subtle differences make a lot of impact in my opinion. It is like before and after beer goggle pictures!

Disney Lot of 10 Cast Lanyard Hidden Mickey Trader Pins Set B16
I am bidding on this lot and will do a comparison with the ones I purchased from Disneyshopping if I win the lot.

I hope the bid won't go too high and I hope that you will win. It would be interesting to see fake and authentic side by side. It is really sad though :(

Erica, I think you have done a wonderful job with all Jess as Alice comparisons. Sadly, it is not a cheap pin, otherwise nbest way would be having the authentic & fake version side by side.

Maybe we ca e-mail the seller requesting a close-up of the face, and/or pictures of the back side, but I know in the past she came to DPF. If she is checking our posts, she won't fall for that LOL LOL!

Pluto as Dragon Photo Counterfeit

Here is a photo of a real Pluto as Dragon (bottom) and a counterfeit pin (top). You can see by the photo that the colors are totally off on the counterfeit pin (top) and the metal the pin is made from is much more cheap gold colored on the counterfeit pin (top).
The quality of the counterfeit pin (top) just isn't up to par and the feel is totally different and lighter in weight.

Thanks so much for posting that Bretu! Also if you look at the dragons mouth up at the top of Pluto's face on the real one you will see a lighter color there and in the fake it is all the same color of Pluto's face. I just double checked mine because I had traded for it and it's beautiful! Thanks for posting, totally helped ease my mind!

There are bottom teeth on the fake but they are gold with no enamel. I also see at the corner of the dragons mouth on Plutos head there should be a purple spot but there is nothing on the fake ( good eye AverysFairyTale). Looking at the left wing, on the real pin, the wing and spikes on Pluto's back are well defined. On the fake the wing and upper spike meld together and the spike is not black. Also on Pluto's face where what I would call the ears, on the real pin there are three black spikes with the purple between them on both sides. On the fake pin both sides are missing the black spike.
