Bizzaar, different and odd collection "theme." idea's
I've thought it would be neat to start a trash can pins collection. But they seem pretty hard to find. And I don't have any, so I can't count as having started that collection, haha.

Do you collect anything and everything princesses or only specific types, like glitter or something else?
I prefer individual pins, so pins with just one princess (or princess with their prince/animal friends/etc) on them. I don't generally collect the princess pins where they are in groups. Though I do have a couple pins with multiple princesses. I really like princess sets; like the crest collection, the new stylized princess pins, etc. I also only collect the villains associated with the princesses, with Scar being the exception. I do love the glitter pins and jeweled pins. I also only collect the official Disney princesses. As much as I love Merida, I don't collect Brave pins.

Typical: Jasmine, Rajah, Belle, Megara, Rapunzel, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella and Ariel
Other:The Lion King - cats only, Figaro and Aristocats.

mine is pretty boring, I don't think I have an odd collection..

Well I've started collecting Pascal pins even though I've never seen Tangled!

I've also got little tiny collections of Mike from Monsters Inc on his own and Flounder on his own.

I've also never come across anyone else who collects castles but I thought that was a pretty normal thing to collect really .... Or anyone who collects Roo or Lumpy the Heffalump from Winnie the Pooh. Anyone??? Or am I just weird?

Oh and Graduation pins, I kind of collect them. Trying to console myself because the year I actually did graduate Disney only released like one pin: Stitch. What is possibly my least favourite character? Stitch!

My main collection is pretty uneventful - hercules.
Not amazingly bizzaar but I collect medical pins as im going into nursing.

Looking at it, I mostly collect common ones (NBC Jack, haunted mansion, robin hood, SITS, chessie). I guess some uncommon ones would be ID badges and Tick Tock Croc.

My main collections are The Lion King and just Scar pins; my weirder ones are my Just Tarzan pins, Just Flynn Rider, Just Duelers, and some odder categories like conservation, snakes, big cats, deer, and Things that Remind Me of my Honeymoon. Gotta lot of hidden mickey pins from that last one. <3

I really need to reorganize my pin board and slim down my collection themes again. I find being very specific helps me get only pins I love and am crazy about.

lol I collect st patrick stitch pins so I would say thats not that strange. Odd one for me is stitch's cousins as not many go for them

My main collections are classic animal characters (just my favorites) and Peter Pan.

I guess I'm a little odd in the fact that all my classic animal pins have to be like the full-body animal character and nothing else. (The one exception would be Figaro with Cleo's fishbowl.) I don't like pins that are just faces, or scenes, or groups of characters together. I like simplicity.

(This goes for my Peter Pan pins too, more or less.)

My side collections are Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone, Chip & Dale (once again, full body solo pins preferred), Hanukkah (which is different, I suppose, but not that weird), Halloween pins (just a few of them), Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror (only certain pins that catch my eye), and a few Mickey icons that I just like the look of.

I have this little mini collection of pins that are advertisements. Here's a few examples of what I have:
Pin 27717: DLR - Pluto's Dog Walking Service
Pin 27716: DLR - Alice's Cat Grooming
Pin 28990: WDW - Pig Bros. Construction (Surprise Release)Pin 29256: Piglet's Pork Chop Karate Studio

I don't know if these were ever part of a set or how many of these types were ever made and with which character. The only way I've gotten these are from going to the Northern California pin trader meetings (our next one is November 10th in Livermore - shameless plug ).

Oh! I forgot to mention in the last part. This isn't a current bizarre theme but I hope it is soon. After playing Kingdom Hearts, I've become obsessed with keyholes. I love the shape, the rounded top yet square like bottom. I do want to start collecting keyhole pins (not really a fan of Tinkerbell though since she has a lot of keyhole pins probably because she's small).

Traditional: TLM, NBC, Stitch, Brave

Non-Traditional: I only really collect Ariel as a mermaid pins. Not too interested in ones of her as a human (maybe one or two). I also collect Rosetta of Tinker Bell's friends. Not Tink or anyone else, just Rosetta
also, I collect any character pins with pumpkins in them
plus I collect March birthstone pins since I'm a march baby

My Regular Collections:
1. Grumpy
2. Hockey
(put then together and what do you get ------ Hockeygrump!)
3. Cinderella' Coach
4. "The Band Concert"

My "Irregular" Collections:
1. Mistletoe (I put these together for my wife -- the pin board was titled "Mistletoe is great --- but not everyone needs it." In the center of the frame was a picture of us embracing that was taken on our wedding day!)
2. Snow White pins that have some sort of a business connection (McDonald's, Vegimite, Disney on Ice, etc) -- I plan to put these in a frame entitled "And now these words from our sponsors"
3. Chemistry and Science with a particular focus on Beaker and Bunsen (I'm a chemist in "real life")

I've got some others that I've started, but will probably stop (too much $$$)

Looking at it, I mostly collect common ones (NBC Jack, haunted mansion, robin hood, SITS, chessie). I guess some uncommon ones would be ID badges and Tick Tock Croc.

Im probably just being stupid, but I can't figure out what SITS is.

My 'everyone collects this' collect is:
* Ariel

My off the normal path ones are:
* Orange Bird
* Pins with the Animation Studio in it
* Main Street Electrical Parade pins
* Carousel of Progress pins

This is very interesting! At Mickey's Circus there was a guy with a thick black lanyard that showcased his collection of pins that were smaller than the size of a dime. So neat to look at. I had no idea there were so many.

I, of course, collect Pluto but I go off on tangents. I'll become super obsessed with collecting all of the Pluto's dressed as a sailor pins, or Pluto eating food pins. Then when I get all of the one's in that category, I want to frame them.

My regular collection:
Toy Story
Monsters, Inc.
Disneyland and DCA signs
Hanukkah

I don't really have any unusual group that I collect (I once met a trader that collected Mickey, but only if he wasn't wearing shoes and you could see his toes!), but for my sister, who isn't a trader, and really just collects what I get her for her interests (and it's not really bizarre, but maybe a little *different*):

Martial arts (she's a black belt in karate)
Pins with a yin yang symbol

I collect Tink Pins, and my unusual groups consists of pins depicting any type of food items and the other group any mode of transportation
