It wasn't as successful as I thought, because I got too excited and bought some pins from some rather questionable sources. I've already discussed it on another thread but 3/5 of those might be fakes. (And I'm not sure about one of the other 2 since I got it from a trader, though one of them I 100% bought from Disney). I messaged support about it but from what I heard it sounds like y'all have a pretty good handle on it. I just have to be more careful as to which pins I list next time.Hi and Welcome! Congratulations on completing your first trade arcade. It sounds like it was highly successful and I'm very happy for you.
I understand that it can be overwhelming to be new to a hobby, especially when it seems like everyone around you knows what they're doing, but remember that even the most experienced pin trader was new at one point. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have regarding pins and pin trading; IMO, that's the best way to learn. I'm sure that someone, or several someones, will answer any questions you might ask.
l'll definitely have to look those up! Would love to meet other traders in person (and not have to pay for expensive shipping lol)Welcome. Have fun with your internship. If you get the chance, there are several pin trading events in and around Orlando.
It is! It's the Disney college program, though I've also applied to some of their other positions as well. I'm looking forwards to learning and meeting new people! I'll probably post my collection here soon, you can take a look at it and see if there's anything you like. I'll take a look at your Insta as well!Hi there, is your internship with Disney or any of the other theme parks? If so, what area of expertise are you starting out in?
Welcome to the land of pin trading and collecting. Lots of great things to learn and see plus a ton of nice folks here too! Hope you enjoy the pin experiences in your new environment. If you’d like to trade just reach out anytime - we’re on Instagram under the same name too.
Thanks! It's my proudest achievement in lifeWelcome to DPF!
hilarious name
Thanks! And it really has become an obsession as of late. I want to make the event this weekend but work is gonna make it super difficult. I'm just worried that in my newness I'm picking up a lot of fakes lolWelcome! It's so fun to start a new hobbyI used to be pretty active in the Orlando pin trading community and can tell you there are a few monthly local events that are pretty fun and have some awesome people that really love the hobby. Have so much fun figuring things out and feel free to ask LOTS of questions!
Hi! It’s great to meet you!
Personally? No. But the new stitch ones are in super high demand amongst park traders, so I'm always on the lookout for those! New hidden Mickeys are fun to use as traders because not very many people have them yet. Then I can swap them for older pins that I could never buy from the parks or cast connections.Welcome!
Are you ISO any of the newly released WDW Hidden Disney Pins?
You're welcome to try mine if you like. Depending on which version of the card you sign up for, you can get up to $400 of extra disney dollars. Disney Rewards Credit Cards | Chase.comThose Visa Card Links aren't working for me... FYI
