Hey guys,

So me and Luis (luis75) are going to WDW this week!! woo! we're going to be there for Lion King PODM release!

We wanted to know what are the best places to go pin trading at WDW? for example we have Frontierland barrels (well actually, not anymore. But you guys get the idea) ...

We have a bunch of DSF stuff for trade and we wanted to trade with people over there. We also wanted to know if maybe people go trade in the weekends like at Disneyland...

I'm going to be there on Thursday, and might try and meet up with some folks. Maybe for a late lunch/early dinner? Either DtD, Crossroads, or maybe Riverside.

I would love your Avengers marquee, and have some stuff on your Wants- PM me if you're interested.

Clara I will be there on thursday for the lion king release and also Friday, can I give you my cell phone so we could try to meet up? I need some DSF pins and maybe we could trade, or even pre trade.
 
I was in WDW in May. I was there for 2 weeks and went to epcot about 5 time just for trading. I never saw any other traders at the tables in the whole time I was there. I felt a bit daft standing on my own at first with my trader bags open but after a while if people were looking over at me I would say... Come and have a look, I have pins for trade! A couple told me they usually avoid people with the black trader bags as they are normally bery serious hard core traders who will only trade for something if you only have a pin they want.

They were very surprised and said I was a very laid back trader. I would trade an LE for another LE pin even if I didn't like the pin as I was just going to retrade them. I also had a bag full of core pins that I was happy to trade for any core pin and I would never deny a child a trade. I had lots of fun and at one point I had quite a crowd round me and a security guy was stood near me and my other half joked that I had my own crowd control! Another lady had to go back to the car to get her LE traders as she wasn't prepared to meet a trader like me on that day. She came back with lots of great pins!

Thanks everyone for your info. So Thursday after we buy pins were pretty much going to Epcot and trade there for a little while I have some people to meet at WDW to give them pins or trade. So maybe we can meet at Epcot at noon tomorrow. I am also going to Epcot to trade most likely Sunday
 

I can't get into EPCOT- I have a seasonal pass, and it's blocked right now.

Is anyone at all interested in arranging a nice group lunch/trading session or something at one of the hotels or DtD area restaurants? We do it a lot at the counter service at Port Orleans Riverside, but anywhere works for me.

clara have fun!! enjoy the parks and all the neat rides that are WDW! It is different from cali. I wouldnt get your heart set on too too much trading although you posted this so you may meet up with folks. I tend to take a small day trading bag and if i stumble upon trading great, and i enjoy the parks. I am sure you will do great just saying i think overall the trading scene isnt what it is inDL. Not being negative just saying try not to make your day revolve around trading....it can be hit or miss thats all.
 
Thanks dawny. Yes we got warned by people from CA that come WDW and so were not carrying our pin bag around just for Thursday and our trading day at Epcot.
 
I'll be at WDW Monday-Thursday. Not sure if anyone will be there. I have a question though, how do you guys carry around your pins? I'm unsure of how to pack them and carry them around so they don't get scratched.

Awesome! I carry them in a pin bag. A lot of trader carry their pins in binders inside baseball card holders. Idk if that helps?
 
Ok...there seems to be a lot of us around tomorrow, and we're all over the place, so I'm just going to throw something out there.

Let's do the Port Orleans Riverside (counter service restaurant) at 2 PM for a late lunch/snack. It's air conditioned, near DtD, and has a great variety of food and plenty of room for us. Just tell the gate that you're meeting friends and eating in the restaurant.

If you have pins and will be at WDW, come join us! I'm going to post in the main thread, too, to make sure everyone sees it, and not just the people in this thread.
