Hi everyone

There is an auction on eBay right now for all 10 of the recently released Alice in Wonderland Mystery Card Chaser pins and I think they are counterfeits. The colors are way off and they are all in plastic little baggies and not on their original backing cards so I was wondering if you think I should report the item to eBay? The big reason I think they are counterfeits is because Alice's eyes aren't even red like the real Alice Chasers are.

Not only does the same seller have the Chasers of the set but also the original card set. They are also counterfeits. I have reported both of the sets now.

I cannot paste the link on here per DPF rules, but if you just go to ebay and type in "Alice in Wonderland mystery pins" you will see them come up.

I encourage you to report them as well so these listings can be removed. These pins are not real!!! Those of you who have them in your posession or
have seen them with your own eyes can see the incorrect colors and designs in the pictures -

Also, if you look at the seller's feedback you will see negative feedback for fake pins so its a pretty sure thing that they are not real.

I would contact the seller with your concerns about the listing's legitimacy/authenticity first. I believe you need to give the seller not only the benefit of the doubt as it is possible (if not probable) that he/she might not know that the pins he/she is selling might not be authentic (he/she could be reselling pins) but the chance to remove the auction listing before you contact eBay yourself. I would email the seller with your concerns along with photos of pins you know to be legitimate for comparison and see what happens. If the seller brushes you off and/or doesn't remove the listing then, yes, I think you could/should report it to eBay.
 

Whether or not that the seller knows or does not know that the pins are counterfeit is not really the issue. The listings for the pins just need to be removed so people don't get ripped off.

I am so glad I am not the only one that noticed this. I saw these as soon as they were listed and my first thought was they are fake. Alice looks so bad on the chaser. Her hair is pink. I have both sets that I got from the unevent I opened each and every box so I know they are real and I traded for one and it is on the original card and I watched them open it. If I compare mine to the listing on ebay they are not even close. I am really glad you reported them if they are still listed I will report them as well. I don't want anyone to get ripped off.
 

They are still being listed so if you could I would suggest reporting the sets. I think the more reports eBay gets on them the more likely they will remove the listings.
 
Yeah, the Alice in particular is way off. She's missing her creepy red demon eyes...

Eff, I was really hoping this wouldn't happen. Time to go throw up all my legit ones for trade on PP, I guess.

Can someone please take pictures of their authentic pins? The pictures on pinpcis are really not great, even scans would be better and they would eliminate the glare. I just bought some of the pins, chasers as well on ebay and I want to know that I got what I paid for. They have their cards but it would be so easy to change out real pins for fakes.
 
There was a set of chasers that just sold for $300.00 on ebay and they are fakes. Alice does not have pink hair. I have the original set bought from DLR in the boxes and they do not look like the chasers sold on ebay. It is really sad that someone paid $300.00 for fake pins.
 
I keep reporting the counterfeits if I see them on eBay but I guess it is not making a difference really.

It is really easy to tell which ones are the counterfeits and which ones are the authentic ones so I would not be worried about it rubyslipperedgoddess. And because they came on their original backing cards they are most likely real cause since the authentic pins are so limited the cards they came on are too.

If you see these pins without their original backing card I would not buy or trade for them just to be safe.
 
I keep reporting them too, but the seller that has auctioned a bunch off just keeps putting more up as soon as those auctions are done. They've gone through at least 4 rounds of auctions of the regulars and chasers. I've reported all of them every single time, but obviously it isn't doing anything. I am getting really frustrated about it.

I would also agree that if they come with the cards that they are most likely real.
 
I KEEP REPORTING THEM TOO IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING :rant:

But, I would say if they have the backer cards, you're safe.
Although beware,
I recently saw a chaser listed on a regular backer card.
I suspect it may be counterfeit.
Just know your facts, & you're fine
