So the paper says the Alice pins were LE 200. I took a look at the backs of mine, and they are labeled LE 250. I wonder if it is a mistake in how many they told us, or if the LE number was printed incorrectly on the back.

After 12 hours of waiting in the freezing cold, I'd say it was worth it. I didn't stay to trade, but the tables were full of pin books, and they released a lot of good pins.

lol I remember back in spring 2011 when they started these events, I showed up about 1 hr before and was first in line out of about 50 total people that showed up.
A couple months later, we did the first overnighter there, but still only about 75 people. Now that its grown to 300+ is crazy!

I was overhearing some other people describe the first event and the small crowd. Ah, the good ol' days of buying pins.

I got there around 1130 this morning and was number 339. It took about 30 minutes to get in, and it looked like all the Alice pins were still available. There were a lot of Jessica pins, too, but Haunted Mansion Jessica was sold out

11:30 and they still had Alice pins?! That's it, im getting a d23 membership for next year! :poke:

I think you mean back in 2010! I think these pins did not sell as well as pins in the past, and there was no event pin, either.

I just got off the phone with someone at WDI about the edition size of the AiW pins. There was a mistake on the flyer. The back of the pin is correct, which shows the pin as LE250. Hope this helps.

I liked this event; they have learned from past mistakes. Every one was let into the courtyard at 7:30, instead of standing in the parking lot. There were plenty of seats outside in the patio area or in the cafeteria, plus the Starbuck was open. I was #212, but I expected a two hour wait to get into the store. The wait time allowed me to talk with old friends and meet new ones as well as look at the trading tables. I was disappointed that there was no D23 event pin nor a set of sorcerer hat mystery pins. But, I was able to get the AiW and Jessica pins as traders, passed on the recycling bins pins. There was very little new WDI merchandise; most people were leaving with small bags - very little Thor or Frozen items.

I think the last release was way better, in terms of how smoothly in ran. They should have let us in at 7 so we could pee!
