Normally I wouldn't be doing this but someone triggered it so here it goes:

Designer Princess Jasmine Pin

Ready in hand to ship. No waiting for co-op

I am not making any money off this sale. Need the money for a replacement.

Lowest price guarantee here, in co-op or anywhere. (if there is one lower and you want to purchase this one, pm me (with link) and I will beat it!

Current price I need to pay for replacement is $85 (I will be paying more for the same pin)

Only removed, placed on cotton towel for picture. So this pin is considered like new. Front is pristine no bubbles or scratches

Actual picture of the pin. This is the pin you will receive.

Shipping is $3. Payment via paypal as gift First to make payment gets the pin

Please note, if you plan to take a microscope and review every speck of this pin, this is not the pin for you. There are manufacturer defects and per thread discussion the community agreed that the condition is new and manufacturer defects are expected and common in these pins:

@mybabykelly: it is the one on ebay now. learned my lesson to ask for actual pictures front and back
@Laz: I rather not, since I'm not experienced with this kind of stuff. Since it isn't real gold, I'm concerned of the finish.

I traded for some really grimy pins one time, I thought they were ruined but I used toothpaste on them and they cleaned up beautifully! They are sitting in my collection and have been there for a few years now and they still look perfect.

@AverysFairyTale: Thank you for your suggestion, but I would rather let the new owner decide what is best for it.
@jadeites-lady: only on the lower back and the skirt edge. It is not visible when displayed hence the lowest price here and on the bay.

I am just trying to take my chances with the one on the bay. There are no guarantee that there are no defects with any of these pins. With or without pictures

If you are afraid of cleaning it, use a sacrificial pin first to make sure it does not do any damage.

If the front of the pin has no pin holes or bubbles i would consider not selling your jasmine just cause of tarnish on the back. A lot of the PD pins have huge flaws in the face and most sellers/traders wont mention them because it is common in these pins. Gl on your sale anyway.

This is good to know. I have a tarnished Belle & Beast Easter pin (tarnished on the back) that I will test the toothpaste on. Is there a specific type of toothpaste to use (regular, non-whitening, that sort)?

A little baking soda and water should do the trick. It's what I use to clean our metals. Also, and I don't mean to be a jerk, but if you are selling it for almost the same price as the replacement on the bay, wouldn't someone be more inclined to buy the "non-defective" one? Not trying to cause trouble just a thought.

The thing that I am hearing is that most if not all pins have some sort of defect. Some could be worse with bubbles, pin holes or scratches within the enamel which are visible on the front. I was also told that most sellers do not mention flaws because it is common in these pins.

So in this case, you know what you are getting:
1) perfect front with manufacturer defects that are not visible when displayed
2) the back defect as many mentioned sound like it could be removed if you are brave or skilled to do this (which I am not).

I am willing be paying more to take my chances. All are also welcome to BIN the $85 from ebay and take their chance too. Fair enough?

Thanks ThestitchITCH. I agree with you. The one I am thinking of taking my chances on from ebay (after asking the seller, it also has defect). Now I'm trying to figure out if it is worth it for me to take this gamble or not. Packaging and sending, paying more for something with defect that could be worse and permanent etc.

@karkura, this sounds like a good idea. I will try it on a non-LE pin this weekend.

@starry_solo, let me know if your tarnished easter pin cleans up okay. I hope it does

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and help with my dilemma

Just a little advice, but I think your best bet here is to keep this one. I used to be REALLY anal-retentive about the condition of mine and my little sisters pins. If the listing says NEW and I paid way too much for it, I expected it to be in perfect condition. However, as time passed, my experience grew, and many awesome veteran members on here advised me, I learned that most pins have a flaw or two. It just happens. There are some older DA pins that have holograms glued on the back of them, and sometimes Disney used too much glue and it shows. That really grinded my gears at first, but I figure when I display the pins I will never see the back of them, and it comes with the hobby. There have been so many times that I purchased a pin directly from Disney with a flaw, which just tells me that no pins are perfect in this hobby.

Take her to a Jewelrer, they will no just the remedy and make her back sparkle as new as the front. It would be a shame if you sell her away due to blemishes on the rear and end up with a pin that has flaws on the front
