okay, I am tracking one set on the bay and it ends today. Only one bid (opening) and only at $600. Does this mean the prices will drop on this pin set?
 
It will drop, but since the auction isn't over yet then you can't quite determine the outcome. I've seen auctions jump hundreds in a matter of seconds.
 
"Sniping" at the end seems like the only logical way to bid on something. It has such a negative connotation when it is referred to that way... I cannot see any benefit to bidding on an item until just before it is about to end.

And I don't know about prices dropping, for anyone else who is interested I certainly hope so, but I can't imagine there are many left in the hands of people who would sell them, or not broken up yet... 150 is just such a small number. And I previously tried to bargain with someone who had a 'best offer' listed... and they told me, 'THE LAST ONE SOLD FOR A THOUSAND' and then countered my offer with $1050 hahahahhahahahahahha. ha. Super pleased right now though.

Thanks guys. I don't know what I am going to do yet, I won't even get to see them for awhile as I have all my stuff shipped directly to the USA. I knew I wanted them for awhile and I was saving part of my salary each time for a few months but unfortunately the prices went up so quickly... I was sweating because I was teaching a class when the auction ended and I thought I would come back to HORROR... like me paying tons more or someone else winning but it turned out as good as I could have hoped.

I am having a lot of fun on here, by the way. I tried to list some stuff on pinpics but I can't remember what I have off the top of my head at all... I think in my intro I said I didn't have sooo many and maybe that is true but I was thinking about it and I sewed a banner maybe 2 years ago and it is as tall as my shoulders and wider than my body and it is filled a good amount. Not to mention all the randoms I have picked up at TokyoDR and the Disney Store here, and I keep buying random ones from various online sources... It really is an addiction, isn't it. ;)

Well now that I have bored you with this super long post, the actual point is everyone in here seems pretty nice and I can't wait to try out some online trading when I FINALLY move back. =D
