im not going to be mentioning any names but i think someone just tried sharking me

its ok though because i caught it and decided not to make the trade
i still respect the trader and of course will attempt more trades with the person in the future
cept it will have to be on my terms

just trying to remind some of you that this is supposed to be a fun hobby and something to enjoy with your families friends and better halves, so please if you could be a bit more fair in your trades it will make this great hobby of ours a whole lot better

Hard to say, IMO. The LEs are similar, the original prices are a little off but one is a WDI which limits who has access to it initially. Are they roughly the same value now? If it was a trade I was part of, I would look to see how bad I wanted the pin offered.

You have the first and were offered the second? Or vice versa? If it was Yoda or Vader, I'd say it would be a tough choice. But C3PO?
 
I thought it was a pretty equal trade. The LEs are similar and the ratio of trading to wanting is close. Why did you think it was being sharked?
 
I don't know. I don't see anything awful with that request, doubt it was an attempt to "shark" you, the first is a lower edition size and way less people are trading it. Dunno if you posted this because of the ones on the bay now-- but those aren't normal ones of your pin. And not everyone looks at that site or trades with that as a guideline. At any rate... looks like you got an offer for a trade you didn't feel like, making, that sucks?:dunno:

I was asked if I would sell 73450, 74307, 76141, 76732, 77191, 77485, 78635 and 79062 for $18.50.
 
You have to realize some offers come from new traders and even children. Do not take it personal just delete and move on.
I get at least 10 lopsided trade requests a day.
 
Nowhere in the description does it say 90090 is plastic. Nobody is trading it though so maybe in the "trader's" eyes they feel the pin is more valuable. Some non-le pins are more valuable than limited. Just being the devil's advocate here.
 
I dont know. I probably would trade that ariel for that pumba pin. No one trading it and my GF collects lion king and i dont give a (#@$&*# about ariel in my collection (Besides the gomes cause its perrdy).
 
Another thing to recall is that in some cases, it was the only initial match they had for you. (As trading is limited to 1 for 1). Once communication is established they may be willing to offer a more reasonable or multi-pin trade.

Otherwise, it costs nothing to say no and move on or delete the offer without reply.
