Disney Animator Dolls?

Disney Animator Dolls?
Has anyone found a good shelf to display their animator dolls on? I have all of them minus Kristoff and Tink, and they take up so much room even de-boxed. I'd like a shelf that would fit all of them on it standing up.

Im pretty sure I saw tons of animators at my disney outlet the other day. And we had all new Frozen merch and stuff. Its not just for past season/returned stuff.

I actually have three bookshelves standing side-by-side. I put the Animators on top, lined up. Kristoff is on different shelf with my Frozen doll collection. And with the collection expanding, I am running out of space for them on top. I had to place Tinker Belle in front of a lesser favorite. I love these dolls, but they just take up SO MUCH ROOM.

You should check Quasimodo's thread in Disney Chat I think called Toy Box or something along those lines. He has a great display of them. Tons of pics too.

Oh thank you! I've never really ventured over there, so I didn't know such a thread existed!

I have the orginal 10 on two shelves in one of my glass display cabinets, they look really cute together as a whole set too ;)

If I get more Im going to have to rethink my display situation since they are so big. They do take up a lot of room, especially if kept in the boxes which is what Im doing currently.

Does anyone here have a duffy bear (17 inch) who would mind doing an experiment for me??

I was wondering if the animator dresses fit on him... and could take a pic for me so I can see how it fits...

Obviously, I'm not gonna cross dress my duffy... Im gonna get a Shellie May bear soon. :)

Hehe... :3

I really want a Shellie May too. Hard to track down one for a good price. All my DACs are in boxes so sorry I cant help ya.

I have been wondering the same thing.
Its like "really?!!" I just start laughing hysterically and DH thinks Im insane.

I think it's funny how some of the dolls even manage to have afros XD Like Snow White and Cinderella. I mean... one thing is that your children tortured the doll, but wasn't there a way for the hair to look a little nicer before you try selling it for a high price. Like washing it and adding some conditioner (seems to do the trick with a lot of doll hair - so I have heard).

Exactly.

And why would I pay retail for a busted up looking doll when I just get it online for the same price, brand new and in a box.

Ooh, speaking of all these 2nd hand animator dolls, I just bought the original Rapunzel (in the nightgown with tinsel in her hair) for $15!!! The seller lived down the street from me and the girl who owned it even kept the elastics in her hair so she was in like-new condition.

I'm displaying her in my spare DAC Rapunzel box. I had her when the doll was first released, but then I got rid of her since she didn't match the DAC boxes that came out a year later. Now she's back home, lol.

What a score!!

I want the ones that are harder to find and are so expensive.

No, as you can see, Tinker Belle's dress fits on Duffy like a hat. I can't even pull it over his head. Build a Bear clothes should work, though.

Hello everyone. I have been reading you for a few weeks but this is my first post so let me introduce myself a little :-)
I'm from Spain and I have a beautiful one year old girl. I have a collector soul :-D I love (and need) to collect everything I like but right now I do not really collect anything... Still looking for the perfect collection :-P
When I was pregnant, back in 2012, I discovered the Animators dolls in the Disney Store and I really fell in love with them. I have all Disney movies and used to watch them so I'm attached to all the characters. Luckily I was expecting a girl so I had the perfect excuse :-D So I bought Merida and between my husband, my mother, my father's wife and a friend who works on Disneyland Paris, we had miraculously all the dolls for Christmas. All from the Disney stores and all the first edition princesses. It was a really hard and funny time trial and there were moments when I thought that maybe we were silly and the dolls will be always at the Disney store, but when I saw the new Belle and Aurora.... Mmmm... Well, I prefer the first one :-D
And this Christmas just the same looking for Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Tinkerbell :-D I admit maybe I was a little obsess :-P I called the store twice a week bacause here in Spain they receive just a few. Once they received just two Tinkebell and I missed her for an hour. But luckily again we get all :-)

Now I just check everyday in case a new one will be release :-)
I would like they made a doll for the rest of girls: Alice, Esmeralda, Meg, Jane, Kida... Jane will be great because I haven't Bell on her yellow dress :-D and I think Kida could be an amazing doll. Also I would like another man, maybe not a prince but Merlin (I love Merlin movie). But what I really really want right now it's a Maleficent animators doll. I'm dreaming, I know! but it can be just amazing. And also I like a villain to play with :-D

Well, enough for the first post. Sorry, it's soooo long :-). Nice to meet you all

My animator wishlist: Megara, Alice, Esmeralda, Wendy, Pinocchio, Maleficent, Evil Queen, SOFIA THE FIRST!!!!! They are making a generic version according to Stitchkingdom, now we need an Animator Sofia ... and Amber.... and I'd probably buy James too... and definitely Vivian, Cleo, Hildi, and the Little Witch, also Ruby (but not Jade, she is such a stick in the mud).

If I had to wish for a non-princess animator doll, it would probably be Esmeralda or maybe Megara.
But to be honest - I don't have any fave among the non-princess characters.

Edit: I figured out who I want... I want Lilo XD

My mother would love Lilo... But I think we have more chances to get Robin Hood and Lady Marian than Lilo... But I would buy all of them :-D

I also would love a Mary Poppins animators doll... Less opportunities than Lilo, I know :-)

If Marian came out, friend would be buying at least 3! :)

It's a shame that Robin Hood and Lady Marian don't get any recognition due to their animal form. It's the only couple if I don't remember wrong.... An animator doll I think it's impossible, but a Designer set of both.... I can imagine that.
