Disney Animator Dolls?
I just saw that someone asked a question on the Disney Store facebook page about how to keep the hair on their Animators Rapunzel doll from getting messy. This is a quote of what Disney replied ....

"Much like a real princess, our tiny Animator Dolls need attention to their very gorgeous hair. Many princesses enjoy having a song being sung to them while their hair is brushed, we hope that helps, have an enchanted day!"

Hehehe that did make me chuckle, I will have to try singing to my dolls next time I try and sort their hair out ;o)
 
I got Snow White today! :) SO cute. Rapunzel is next on my list, but I am searching for the "perfect" one, ie perfectly straight hair, perfect angle turned, perfect pascal placement, etc since I'm going to be keeping her in the box :lol:

When these first came out, I read about people saying they got all ten of these.. and I thought that was excessive..I have changed my mind about them now though, they are impossible to resist! I have 3 now, already planning my 4th, and there are at least 2 more I wish I had, lol

I ended up buying Mulan from ebay unboxed right before the uk stores replenished their stock (typical) lol. I ordered Belle and then decided to go a bit mad and get tiana, pocahontas, Jasmine, rapunzel and I actually ordered another Mulan because I thought I was going to keep them all in their boxes but have decided to take them out- partly because I didn't like the way some of their hair was styled. I am going to take my extra mulan into the disney store and exchange it for one I dont have
 
I like how you did your Rapunzel's hair, I did mine in 2 braids aswell ...

I really must get around to getting a proper group piccy of all mine together (my play ones that is) as I already have a group piccy of my display ones just as they came out of the box but I dont have a group piccy of all my customised ones together yet ;o)

You are totally fantastic at doing their hair and styling them :) I used a build a bear flower on my Mulan's hair lol. I actually tried to braid rapunzels hair in a few different ways but it ended up looking like a mess so I did two big ones and two little dangly ones. I really think Disney could have done a better job with the hair designs! Tiana is the only one i havent changed lol. I will be keeping an eye out for accessories. cant wait to get the rest. I dont like the ariel dolls look (the way she comes in the box) you have done a fantastic job on yours, she is so much icer in a dress too! I love your "merrie" doll from Brave, looking forward to getting her when the film comes out here hopefully, she is so cute!!

Awww thanks Aveen :) ... it really is fun coming up with new ways to style the dolls to make them just that little bit different from everyone elses, I do agree that Disney could have done better with the hair on most of them. If you end up getting a Snow White you will see what a challenge she is, in my opinion she has the worst hair of all the Animators dolls !!
 
Oh gosh thats not good that snow whites is worse!!! I thought belles looked fuzzy and cut badly! It's not good synthetic hair at all. I love Tangled and have lots of merchandise, including the 3 Limited edition dolls amongst others but I think they have done the rapunzel doll badly, she cud have been cuter and really changing her hair to stop it looking so flat (as belles, jaz's and ariels are) helps lot. The previously released rapunzel toddler in nightgown I thought looked cuter, I have her too but shes still in her box) Poor Pocahontas looks so sad lol. hehe.
I would have liked Mulan's hair the way it was but I got my mulan unboxed on ebay and when she came her hair was a total mess, I had to cut it and put it in a bun lol!

The only way i could get Snowy's hair to look nice without her hair net was to cut it, and even then it is still very wild and hard to get looking neat !!

I've decided that I'm going to get at least one of these dolls, they're adorable!

Hopefully I'll be able to pick up Belle, Mulan and Pocahontas. I also hope to get Snow White for my little cousin, and perhaps Rapunzel for another family member. I'm not too fussed on any of the other ones. If I had to pick just one I'd go with Belle.
 
omg i really want an alice toddler doll!! i'm still surprised at the lack of alice dolls seeing as her and her outfit are pretty iconic world over.

tinker bell's cute though it's too bad her actual dress didn't look more like the thumbnail sketch.
i kind of liked the tutu vibe.
 
Oh wow I can't believe this is happening! They're finally adding random characters. Yusssssssss! I'm not a Tink fan but she's adorable and I can't wait for her. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for bumping this thread. I didn't even know it existed lol.
 
That Tinkerbell is PRECIOUS!! With her and the Kristoff I really hope they continue to add more characters to the line. I will definitely invest in them.

BTW my store just got in the new Tiana Animator last night. I couldn't believe my eyes! haha
 
I think the Tink doll is cute, but why is her hair pulled back so tightly? It just looks weird, like it has been pulled back so much that you can see the roots, making it look unnatural.

Completely agree Mike. I though something was off with her hair and you are right, I will still probably end up getting her when she is out as I do love these dolls.

Yeah I think she will still be worth the purchase will just need to loosen her hair a bit when I do buy her.

I have to ask does anyone know why Kristoff would be in the Animator series yet Anna & Elsa were brought out as toddler dolls? I have to admit I didn't even know their was a difference until I read on the frozen merchandise thread. I thought they were all animator dolls oops!
 
Yeah I agree I don't really see the difference. If you search animator on Disneystore.co.uk Elsa comes up as well but apparently she is just a toddler doll but at the end of the day I guess they are all toddler dolls haha
