I have a dumb question. I was looking to get some of these pages to start an album. When you use these pages do you pin through the plastic? Do you create cards and pin through the cards then just stick them in the pockets? Anybody have any photos of how they arrange theirs?

I don't have these kind of pages, but buy the looks of it, you keep them on the backer cards and just put them in the pockets. Or like you said, put them on other cards and slide them into the pockets.

Eek, don't buy Disney ones. Just go to a office supply or hobby store and get baseball card holders. Well, Amazon would have them too. Much cheaper!

Personally, I don't like to put the pins through the plastic. I take a small strip of clear packing tape to seal each opening shut. And each piece of tape is slightly folded over on a top corner so that I can easily open a pouch when I want to, but will still deter theft.

I use binders with clear dividers. I bought a bunch at Staples when they had a sale of the Martha Stewart ones. I put my pins on playing cards. You can pick up playing cards cheap at garage sales, etc. I find it a handy way to keep them.

shoot, if you dont mind them being super thin... the dollar stores often have baseball card sheets like that.

either way, keep them on the card when possible.

I have a few, I slide 'em in card and all, then poke the post through to prevent them sliding right out if the book is upside down or knocked over.

I stick them through the plastic. Keeps them from sliding out when people flip through or your backpack gets flipped upside down. Also keeps them secure and protected. The pages are less than 50 cents at most baseball card trading stores. They have different sizes also so you can get them for jumbos and PODM's also.

This is what I did. There is a comic book store near me and they had 100 of them for $10. I stick them through the plastic so I know that they are for sure in there. Plus I know they aren't going to be taken cause the numbnuts I trade with don't expect them to be pinned through the plastic. So if I see them trying to take my pins out of their holders I will take my book back and not trade with them.

The plastic that Disney uses for their pages is much thicker and glossier than the baseball cards ones. I happen to think the Disney ones are much nicer quality but I have heard other pin traders complain that it is hard to get the pins in and out of the pockets.

The ones I have are pretty thick and are pretty awesome.

I use the baseball card pages for the pins on the smaller cards. For bigger backer cards, I use two types of pages that are for photos: 3"x5" photos and 4"x6" photos. The 3"x5" pages have 4 pockets and the 4"x6" pages have either 2 or 3 pockets depending on which brand you buy. The 4"x6" pages are the perfect size for PODM pins.

So you have a lot of people trying to thieve from you during your trading sessions?

Also what do you do if you no longer have the original backer cards?

I agree with buying cheaper ones of these because no matter how great the get caught in zippers, ripm get "foggy" so for the 30-50 cents a sheet just go to a baseball card place. I also have the larger sheets, i have one with 4 big pockets and that fits the dosneyaction cards and PODM cards....i keep them on backer cards and pin thru plastic, and again i encourage you to do this because in a busy trading area or if you leave your book its very hard for anyone to fiddle with getting your pins out,,,,not that mad theft is going on,,,but it can. No pins fall out either. I trading with alot of folks this week that used pin bags that the pins were just stuck in--i guess cord was behind?? and pins were falling oout.

What do you use for cards if you don't have the originals?

Yes actually I have had people try and take my pins because they thought I wasn't looking. It is a good thing that I know ASL because of knowing that I am able to be more aware of whats going on and using peripheral vision really well. There is a guy that tried to rip me off numerous times and I have called him out on it. He has moved my pins around and claimed he didn't know about it. I have paid a fortune for my pins and wish not to have them stolen from me because someone is too cheap or not willing to give up their pin for the one I have. Rather sad.
