Disney Dolls Appreciation Discussion
Congrats on getting your Snow White LE 17 inch doll! ^_^ I just ordered the Wedding Rapunzel LE 17 inch today on it's release in the UK...

By the way, I am a recent member, so I apologize for any formatting or text I put on here that isn't quite right! Haha! Let's hope I don't... and I'm also new to the thread, so I do apologize if I'm intruding or anything...

p.s. Did anyone else get the LE 17 inch Wedding Rapunzel? ^_^

Yes! I ordered mine last night. Was so excited I couldn't get to sleep afterwards

Welcome to Disney Pin Forum, PrincessxJasmine89! Everyone who loves Disney dolls is a welcome addition to this discussion. There is no such thing as an intrusion here, unless that person does not like any Disney dolls at all.

Thanks, ever since DRJ1828 posted pics of the 17" LE Snow White, she became my holy grail of dolls (and I am predominantly a doll collector)! I did pre-order the 17" LE Wedding Rapunzel, and she is supposed to arrive at my house today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks for the warm welcome! ^_^
She is beautiful, I may get her if I end up collecting 17 inch dolls, the Wedding Rapunzel was my first venture into the 17 inch dolls as I normally collect 11 1/2 inch dolls... but if I like her enough, who knows? I may end up getting more! My holy grail doll at the moment is the 17 inch Alice, her dress is just incredible! I have a feeling I will soon collect 17 inch dolls! The only problem seems to be displaying them... I have so many 11 1/2 inch dolls, it just looks strange if they're displayed side by side...

I hope you get the doll today, I'd love to see some pictures if I could! The dolls seem to be much more stunning when photos taken by owners are looked at, rather than the website stock photos...

Before this year, I totally shared your collecting trend of only collecting dolls in 1/6 scale (11 1/2" size). Then when Wedding Rapunzel was announced, I pre-ordered her, and then I bought 3 more of the 17" LE dolls! I must admit that DRJ1828's photos of the 17" LE dolls is what totally tipped the scales. Then I figured that if I were going to take the plunge to get one 17" doll, I may as well get all of my favorites. But since they are so big, I know that I have to limit myself on how many I should get. Otherwise, some will just end up in storage like so many of my beautiful collector Barbie dolls. So far, I now have Snow White, blonde Rapunzel, the Queen of Hearts, and Wedding Rapunzel. I plan on adding Cinderella and Aurora whenever they are made, and maybe Ariel. Don't get me wrong: I would love to get Tiana, Belle, Alice, and Mother Gothel, too, but space is such an issue.

These are pictures of my actual dolls. I love them all, but Snow White is my absolute favorite.

Oh Alan, everytime I see a picture of the LE 17" Snow White, I want to die from envy! She's so gorgeous. I'm determined that ONE DAY I will own her. One day...

I'll keep an eye out for you, Kristin! I pretty much monitor eBay all day long. Over the past few weeks, Snow White has been up for sale on eBay, but selling for around the $500-$600+ range after shipping. I'll PM you if any potential good deals pop up. Snow White is marvelous to have, even if we have to pay through the nose for her!

Thanks so much!! She's definitely the holy grail of dolls!

If only we were made of money...lol

Shiva love your snow white pic...she is my favorite also and the only I actually have out on "display" well of course short brown haired rapunel since i just got her. don't have the nerve to take her out of the box so I just admire her inside her sealed box. She is by far the "fairest of them all so far," for me at least.

I have been fortunate to have all 17" princess dolls so far. I love seeing everybody's pictures of their dolls out of their boxes, since I am too chickened out to open mine, I really appreciate everyone sharing their dolls and collections. Thanks for allowing us to appreciate the details and beauty of these dolls from your pics.

Congratulations on getting the 17" LE Snow White! She looks sooo beautiful! She embodies the qualities of her character in her facial expression - gentileness, warmth and love. Her serious expression also make me take her more seriously as a collectible doll, and gives her a more regal and timeless look. I also really like her hair, the styling gives her a softer look than my Snow White.

Nice photos of your 17'' LE dolls - especially useful to compare the dolls' eyelashes! LOL. I agree with those who prefer the longer lashes on the Wedding Rapunzel. The lashes of my Rapunzel are too straight and square cut, hence unnatural looking. They would have been so much nicer if they looked like Snow White's lashes, or the lashes in the Disney promo images.

Thanks, all! I've been reconnecting with my inner photographer with these dolls. Truly, having a 17" LE Snow White really is a dream come true! Of all of the company-made dolls that I own (i.e. non-OOAK: Mattel, Disney, etc.), this doll is the one I love the most. Of course, I also spent the most money to get her. By the way, when photographing dolls, I remember in one of the books I own about making and marketing OOAK dolls, one of the recommendations is to try to use natural lighting (but of course, not direct sunlight). The pics I took yesterday of Snow White and the two Rapunzel dolls were using regular daylight coming in from the window. My Queen of Hearts doll pictures were taken at night with indoor lamp light. To me, there is a huge difference in how the colors and doll features are highlighted in the natural light.

DRJ, I also noticed that my Snow White doll's hair does seem just a tad longer than most of the other 17" LE Snow White dolls that I have seen pictures of. I really have no idea how that happened, but I also like it a lot. I could stare at this doll all day long, because she is so pretty. In any case, the Disney Store really scored big on pretty much everything about this doll, and it's really no wonder that the prices on the secondary market are so bananas. I hope the future 17" LE princess dolls receive such attention. Aurora really needs it, after last year's Designer doll let-down.

I agree that it would have been really nice if Wedding Rapunzel did have the same type of eyelashes as Snow White. Before your description just now of the shorter Rapunzel eyelashes, I was not sure, based on the photos we've seen of the different Wedding Rapunzel dolls, what the shorter eyelashes really looked like in person. In hindsight, I am happy my two LE Rapunzel dolls have similar styles of eyelashes.

Congrats on Snow White, Shiva! I truly hope to get her someday, and seeing DRJ's and your pictures only makes me want to get her more!

I've gotten a few dolls recently, so I figured I'd put up pictures. I'll start with the Limited Edition 17" Tiana, as I see there aren't any of her up here.

Here's a full body. Pictures don't really do her justice, but her gown is just gorgeous.

Face Detail.

I love the fact that they have Ray on here. I didn't take a picture of the Certificate, but my number is 652/5000.

A few more photos here...

The Belle doll is a new addition, but the other two I've had for a while but didn't bother to post.

I had a friend in the UK send me the Rosetta doll, since they don't sell them in the US Disney Store now. The Tiana, Cinderella, and Esmeralda are new. The Esmeralda is the one that comes with the gypsy outfit and petticoat, however I bought the dress she is in here separately so I can change them at my leisure.

Meg and Belle are new - I have three Belle dolls so that I can have her in different outfits (not counting any special dolls, designer, etc.), and then the Meg doll is used. My friend was able to get the blue dress Meg for 12.99 on Ebay brand spanking new, but she wanted the purple dress. So, I bought a used purple one and we switched outfits on them!

And lastly, I finally picked up the classic Pocahontas. Not pictured is my classic Mulan, so I've finally finished with all the classic dolls (until they release Merida, I can't wait!!).

I'll only post three of Wedding Rapunzel, as there are plenty of lovely photos up of her already! These are my friends, not mine (I got the long eyelash one, and one short eyelash, but I figured I'd put up her photo as she has a nice display set up!).

Alright, I'm done spamming photos - I promise! These dolls are just too pretty!

I decided to share a couple of pictures that I took of my Wedding Rapunzel and Blonde Rapunzel Dolls

They are so beautiful

Smiling to the camera together

Great photos of your dolls, everyone! Oooh... now I'm getting tempted to want Belle and Tiana, too! They are incredibly pretty dolls! The two Rapunzels together are darling! They look like sisters about to go to the wedding.

Selethiel: I also have the Celestial Collection Barbies (but still in the box)!

Nice! My mom got me the Moon and Star ones when I was ten, so I'm glad I never utterly demolished them! As an adult collector who focuses on Disney and barbie dolls I am glad that I have these in my collection now. I'm pretty sure I'll never figure out what happened to my original Esmeralda.....

Thanks much, DRJ Your Snow White is so pretty, and I think it's cute having the first princess welcome the last princess! All the photos that have been posted up here are wonderful, it's always nice to see everyone's dolls. More inspiration to get more dolls (even if I don't have the room! Putting up a shelf for them today, that's gonna be fun).
