This is all about the bad experience I had. So if you like tto hear about my drama here it is!

So I called earlier describing a pin I was searching for.
4days ago I went to Downtown Disney pin trader. There I saw a pin that was mickey holding 2 or 3 balloons each balloon was rainbow. And on the bottom it said 2012. (it was behind the glass board)
Obvously it was a pin that was made for gay day (dlr's is in October) I went last night and it was not there!
I went to hotels, pin trader, and world of Disney (where I had to BEG for them to call a couple places in the park it's self to ask) and everyone had no idea what I was talking about. They kept leading me to another pin with Mickey holding balloons but it wasn't the 'rainbow' balloons.

So a castmember gave me the number for the Disney merchandise center. I called in the morning- described it was rainbow balloons. La la la. The lady said she saw there was some at certian locations. So ingot all excited. I decided to call again (before I go allllllll the way down there) and said more to the point it was like a gay day pin. It didn't say gay day but it was acocciated with the up comming gay day. She proceeded to look on the net. Saying it wasn't on the new releases. I told her that I knew I saw it where she proceed to give me an attitude and asked "are you sure you saw that? I don't believe that's what your saw. Did anyone go with you that you can ask to make sure? I don't think so." so I said "miss. I know what I saw." and she said" Did it say gay day?? (with extreme attitude) and I said. "no- I'm just describing it as the gay day pin since its rainbow balloons and gay days next month. Im not crazy I just asked my mom ((pretty sad when she even makes me feel as if I didn't see it) and my mom confirmed the pin was right there.I'm not going nuts. " where she responded"we didn't make a pin like that I think your seeing things." CLICK. What the hell!?? That kind of service upsets me! I didn't even want this pin for myself ! I wanted this for a few friends. It makes me upset how rude this lady was. :'(

I've called before looking for the OE bolt pin. I said I know this exists and gave them the sku number and they basically said we have no idea what you are talking about. We don't sell anything like that, but have a magical day... "click" It made me very annoyed lol so i totally understand

Its one of the worst things when someone who works somewhere is a jerk. like you can't really do anything except tell their manager or whatever.
This isn't disney related, but once i was at an animal shelter and i went someone i wasn't supposed to go (there was a teensy tinsey sign that no one sees) and the lady grabbed me and literally threw me out saying "DID YOU SEE THE EFFING SIGN?" i get it. jerks are so freaking annoying.
Oh, and you should call and complain. its always fun to do that :P

That's awful. I'd call back and get a supervisor. I'm a supervisor in a call center, and if one of my reps talked to a customer like that I'd write them up. You're a customer, who like most of us spends oodles of money on Disney. I'd make a huge stink if I were you. (I wanted to phrase that last sentence a different way but I don't want an infraction lol).

That hotline has never been helpful for me. I've called three times and either I get the wrong information or they have no clue what I'm talking about. One such call I remember that I called about the PODM Little Mermaid pin before it was released (as it was the first of these pins I was going to the parks myself to get) and asked what time I should get there. She had no idea what I was talking about initially and then when she realized what I was talking about, she told me the pin wasn't out yet. I politely said, "I know, but a friend of mine told me that they sell out quickly and I was wondering how early I can show/line up tomorrow" (as I didn't want to be shoo-ed off and wasn't sure where to park) She proceeds to tell me the park hours and just basically says to come at open. So, no real help there. Luckily, I just went with my gut and showed up at 4:45 am :)

Wowza, that's so rude!
I work in retail so I see customers being treated badly a lot. ESP on the phone. I thik it's because it's not face to face so they think they can get away with it.
At my last job I saw my manager make a costumer cry, enough said that people hate being wrong!

Disney's customer service is very poor. I have had some good experiences with great castmembers going out of their way to help - but a lot of the time you get someone who has NO CLUE what you're talking about. With pins I know it's got to be hard for them to keep track of them all. So you can't fault them for that - BUT if anything they should help you think of ways to find if if THEY cannot. I love how the new thing is - Sorry we don't have that you must be mistaken!
Did you finally find the pin after all that?

Just another case of Customer Service hitting a whole time low. Actually kinda shocked they were rude to you. I just called today to see if a pin was still in stock and the lady was very cheerful with me. Sorry about your bad experience.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, and with a cast member at that :/
I really hope that you find the pin without any drama ! I know which one you mean as there was a photo of it come up on the forum the other day and I said to myself 'hey, that's really cute !'. So you're not at all crazy and we've got your back ! :)
Again, goodluck !!

You should always ask for their name when calling a customer service, the calls are always monitored so they cant give you a fake name. Then you call and make a complaint. Rude Disney people is unheard of but if that happened I would have reported it. Everytime I call any costumer service I ask for a reference number of the call or their name, somehow doing this always turns out as a great costumer service experience :)

It really makes me sad to see so many people say that Disney's guest service sucks. I'm a stores cast member and always go out of my way to help my guests. Not every cast member is rude or has bad guest service, please don't think that :( I hope you find the pin you're looking for, and definitely always get people's names on the phone so you can report if you have a problem!

What appalls me the most is that Cast Members HUNG UP ON YOU! Whenever I call a place like that (Disney or non), I always write down the name of the person helping me--usually so it's that when we're finishing up the call, I can thank the person for helping me, using their name. I would most definitely call, write or e-mail Disney and let them know you were treated poorly and hung up on. Even if you don't remember the person's name, maybe if you remember the date, approximate time and can tell them if you spoke to a man or a woman, they'd be able to figure out who it was (I guess that's grasping at straws, but who knows).

Just wondering...have you seen that pin listed on Pinpics? And...not to burst your bubble...or balloon...but I wouldn't say for sure that Disney made a gay days pin. There have been quite a few pins released over the years that had multi-colored balloons, and also rainbows. But yeesh! you shouldn't have been treated rudely no matter what!

I had a quick visit today and saw the pin you described at DTD Pin Traders, DCA's Fly n Buy, and the shop next to the shooting range game by fronteirland, and LGM in DL. So I'm sure there's still lots waiting for you!

It sounds like a case of something that was put on display before it should have, then pulled, and now starting to be regularly available. I wonder if you called back now, what answer you'd get.
