Wishing that they released the Zootopia set in March (or even April) instead of February so I'd know which characters I want to buy. :/
 
Aw, man, right after I bought my tsums in store, I got the email saying my online order had shipped. You can't cancel it once it ships, huh? :/


I'm actually surprised the TLK tsums lasted this long, but that price hike really made a difference.


On another note - the medium Nick and Judy tsums are ADORABLE! They're cuter than their mini counterparts.

I know, right? But I think that's what Disney is counting on, that people will just go ahead and buy now rather than worry that they missed out on merchandise for a movie they'll [possibly] fall in love with.

Even still, I think Disney has shot themselves in the foot this go-around. Releasing 13 new, untried character tsums that close to Valentine's Day would give most people pause, imo. As a gift giver, I'd want to know that the item(s) I have chosen for a loved one are something they will "definitely love", and not just a "maybe they'll love 'cause they're a collector". Even if the old adage says "It's the thought that counts".
 
Since tsums have started, they've released them (and lots of other merchandise) for new movies before the movie comes out. They did for Inside Out. I do agree that thirteen characters is excessive, though. It pained me to buy the entire Lion King set and that was only nine, and it's my favorite movie.
 

I feel the same. Inside Out I was okay with buying since the characters were so easily identifiable from the trailers. You pretty much knew who each one (except Bing Bong) was by the time the TTT set came out. Plus they were so colorful and expressive!

But Zootopia... My thought was that at least pushing the TTT release back a month would give us more time to see things like new trailers and other info about the movie so at least we'd know the majority of the characters by the time the set came out, even if it still came out before the movie. Plus there's just so many of them it really does come down to how much you like the characters when deciding which ones to buy. And if we don't know that information, it's harder to commit to any of them besides maybe Nick and Judy (but even they look a little off to me tbh... I think it's how big their noses are).
 
Has popular consensus decided if March TTT release will be Tangled? Have any other previews or leaks been found online yet? I feel like there was another tt movie release mentioned, but I can't remember what it might be.

Gosh, I feel kind of guilty. February is still a long ways off and I'm already over the Zootopia theme. :/
 
I'm really hoping the Tangled will be March, then I can ask for some for my birthday. Do you guys think there will be two Pascals? Or the first one we saw has been replaced by the grumpy Pascal in a dress. I just know I'm in love with Maximus and want him, I'm debating on Pascal and Rapunzel.
 
I've seen Green Goblin and another Marvel tsum leaked recently but nothing else. Hopefully the Tangled set is more than just those four characters, I want a Mother Gothel!

With 9 for Lion King and 13 for Zootopia, I'm willing to bet there are more than 4 for Tangled and that one is Mother Gothel. As for more than one Pascal, I'd lean towards yes as well. As far as sidekicks go, I'd say he's in the top five list of all times. What characters are we really looking at from Tangled?

1)Rapunzel
2)Flynn
3)Pascal
4)Maximus
5)Mother Gothel

...are there any other really notable characters from the film that Disney would try to tsum-ify? Maybe a lantern since they have started Disney ride tsum tsums but without including either a few multi colored Pascals or five second screen time characters, I can't think of who else would be worthy for a full release. :dunno:

Edit: I forgot about the King and Queen from Tangled, but IDK if Disney would consider them tsum worthy.

Found this via disneytsumtsum.com, which is usually a solid source. It is quickly making the rounds on twitter. If correct, then February would be Star Wars tsums:

"Star Wars Tsum Tsum Collection to be released in mid-February? Over the last few days we have followed up on multiple reports of the possible release of the new Star Wars Tsum Tsums next month. So far, this is what we have gathered. The collection will be released on Feb. 16 at both Disney Stores and Disneystore.com and the series could have as many as 12 different Tsum Tsums."

Pretty sure Mother Gothel was previewed. They could also do one or more of the thugs, the Stabbington brothers, Pascal in different colors...

Hawkeye and Black Panther were leaked on the tsumtsum reddit.

But, uggh, more Marvel tt's? And Star Wars? Gosh, it's like Disney is just pushing me away from collecting tsums. :lol:
 
If that's true and they release 13 for Zootopia and two weeks later 12 for Star Wars (and two weeks later whatever Disney TTT set) maybe I skip Zootopia until I watch the movie... 25 for one month is too much for me and I really prefer Star Wars than a dozen of character I'm not attached to for now... The Lion King set has been huge plus two Valentines tsum and we have Guardians of the Galaxy next week. I have already skip the Valentines box because of the amount of tsum I have bought recently. Disney should slow down, I think...
 
I am really excited at the thought of Star War's tsum tsums, especially if they turn out to be a mixture of characters from the original trilogy and the new one. I didn't buy any of the Lion King tsums (something tells me that I will probably regret that decision later on), and the Zootopia ones aren't doing much for me even though I am really looking forward to the actual movie. I will be ecstatic if March is when the Tangled ones come out! I dunno if I will go out of my way to buy a full set, but I will definitely have to get several of those.

Ugh!!! I am sooooo done with the DisneyStore!

I got an email a month ago saying that I needed to switch to a US based credit card in order to keep my subscription. After changing my billing info and getting a US based card, they tell me that I can't get my december box. And I just got an email from saying that my subscription has been cancelled. ON WHAT GROUNDS??!! I didn't even get a warning or something, they just went ahead and cancelled it!

I hate this store so much! My new years resolution was to argue less with the DisneyStore, but clearly, that's not going to hold!
 
The Disney Store sure makes it awfully trying sometimes to continue being a loyal customer! :cry: I'm so sorry this happened to you; do you think if you called the customer service line they might fix it? Kind of a long-shot, but maybe?
 
I'm really, really excited if they do release Star Wars tsums!! :bowdown: Hopefully, as TheDisneyFanatic said, there will be a mix of characters from the original and the new ones. I'll probably end up buying all of these, lol. Even with the price jump. I kind of wish they will do a Leia without the hair buns; maybe the braid over her head she wore a lot in V and VI? Most likely they won't do that though.
I just hope the Disney Store gives a bit of notice before the release so I can make sure I'll be able to make it to my Disney Store that day.
 
Id personally like it to see Luke, Leia, Han Solo, Chewy, Darth Vader, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Kylo Ren be the characters for the Star Wars tsum tsums. I could see us getting some storm troopers as well, along with R2-D2 and C-3PO. I just think a mixture of new and old characters makes sense seeing the new film has been a HUGE success for Disney and Lucasfilm and the older characters are so iconic by this point. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Disney decides to do!
 
I only plan to get Star Wars tsums if there is a Salacious Crumb tsum. XD I know that will never happen. But Salacious is my favorite Star Wars character. The runDisney costume I'm working on right now for this weekend is Salacious.
 
Only recently watched the original trilogy for the first time so I could see the new movie, but I think if the tsum designs turn out cute I might just pick up a few!
 
Maybe variations on Leia? Slave and New Hope or Ceremonial or Bespin? Llando? Obi Wan, Qui-Gonn, Mace Windu? BB-8 and Rey for sure.

Lord of Anime, are you with NBD? How long have you been ordering with DS for? I'm where you are and hope I don't get the same! Guess DS are mad they are losing money on shipping!
 
I just want alll the original trilogy characters. :lol: I'd like to see BB8 for sure though! I liked The Force Awakens, but it was slightly soured by the killing off of one of my favorite characters. :cry:
I mean, I don't want unicorns and rainbows all the way through, but that part was terrible for me.
However, I'm trying to decide what tsums I will get this month, considering that if they do do Star Wars, that'll be at least 25 tsums in a month, and my wallet can't handle that. I'm thinking to get just Judy and Nick, and then as many Star Wars as I can. Star Wars takes priority for me.
 
I'm like you: 25 tsum in a month (plus GotG that will be release here next week) is too much for me and Star Wars takes priority, so Zootopia will be probably the first set I'm gonna miss...
 
So....uhh... anyone else have tsum collection pics to post? Updates reflecting collection growths? I like seeing all of the different and creative ways collectors have devised to show off their cuties. :bigthumb:
