DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I'm even more excited to see what happens after the Aladdin dolls have been released! =O

Me too! Pinocchio will be the next (and final) Diamond Edition after Aladdin, so does anyone think there's a chance for a 17'' Blue Fairy?

Also I read somewhere that Disney will re-release its classics again in a different lineup starting next fall, but I'm not sure what they'll call it. However, they'll probably stick with tradition and start with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. That of course brings back up the question of whether they'll re-release characters. I personally think that Disney will continue doing these LE dolls after Aladdin (they've sold too well for them not to) but I'm not sure if they will necessarily choose characters they've already made or not.

OMG, I wish! Can you imagine how stunning a Blue Fairy would be?! I wouldn't even mind if she was shiny! LOL

Even though I don't like Pinocchio, I would like a le blue fairy doll! Is it just me or does she resemble snow white? Anyways when Snow White is rereleased I hope they make another le doll of her, she's my favorite princess and my favorite movie so I'm hoping it will happen.

I would love them to make a LE 17in of Wendy from Peter Pan. They could make her pale blue night gown stunning. Be nice release for their 70th anniversary anniversary coming up.

If they were to ever make Wendy, she would highly resemble Alice since they look pretty much the same, and there's not much you can do to spruce up a nightdress.

Come to think of it, they would totally use the Snow White/Alice head mold for a Wendy doll. I think the ship has sailed on any 17" Peter Pan dolls though :/

As a fan of Disney Villains, I for one, would be SUPER MEGA DUPER PISSED OFF if they made a LE Blue Fairy from Pinocchio yet they did NOT make a 17" Cruella De Vil to accompany 101 Dalmatians' diamond release this past spring (and instead made more Frozen dolls no one asked for). Yes, her designer doll is gorgeous but looks nothing like her in the animated film which is what I prefer the dolls be based on. Her costume is spot on, face not so much. I was picturing a perfectly molded Cruella face with her HIGHLY exaggerated cheek bones that would have done Marc Davis' character design justice. BUT NOPE, NOTHING other than a few plush dalmatians and a vinylmation set. Boo Disney, boo.

That wouldn't stop me from buying the Blue Fairy of course, but I wouldn't be happy about it!

Ok fine, then I want them to make Ursula in human form 17in LE. Her name was Vanessa right? I think she was beautiful looking in human form. Then for those that debox their dolls they can reenact the scenes from the Little mermaid and add some spice and make them fight over Eric hahaha

A doll of the Blue Fairy would be gorgeous! I don't expect Disney to ever make one, but I am sure she would be lovely if they ever did. I personally am still holding out that one day Disney will finally give me that Mulan doll I have been waiting for. I know its probably never going to happen, and I don't really expect it to, but I can still have some hope. Besides, I never thought we would get OUAT dolls, and Disney is finally giving us those this year (even though they are insanely limited).

Im pretty sure they will make Mulan. These dolls are basically money trees for them, and they sell out fast either way, either by clueless scalper or collectors.

Gosh I hope so. Mulan and Pocahontas are both long overdue for 17" dolls. If they were to end up doing either of them, I wonder how they would be released?

I was hoping they would do a 17" Pocahontas and 18" John Smith for the 20th anniversary of the film that recently passed but NOPE, not a damn thing acknowledging the film. Sigh. I know the subtle racism that permeates our culture causes the POC characters to not sell as well but as Disneylover said, they would sell out very quickly to us collectors and the scalpers as well. It's not like Disney would lose money on them. Not only that, people DO love Pocahontas and Mulan, even if not as much as the white princesses. When they come on to sing their parts in Mickey and the Magical Map at Disneyland the audience LOSES THEIR **** (this is a good thing for anyone who doesn't know the expression, lol), far more so than they do for Rapunzel.

I like Pocahontas and Mulan a lot more than some of the more popular princesses (like Ariel for example). One of the reasons I think they don't do so well in doll form is because they always make Mulan so dolled up- give her her shorter hair and red/blue dress when she defeated Shan Yu and the Emperor bowed to her. And with Pocahontas they just can't seem to get the face molds quite right :/

If they made accurate 17" dolls of those two, I would be all over them.

I just don't think a 17 inch Pocahontas will look right, her face mold on the designer doll is much better than Cinderella's or Belles but yet she still isn't a big seller. If she's too accurate she's kind of boring and the outfit doesn't look impressive and if they "bling" it up it will look like the fairytale designer, ️their really isn't a lot you can do with Pocahontas. I still think they should do her though so people can have all the princess's. I would rather have a Meg!

Okay, I've now seen Jasmine in person. Her details are amazing! Her hair has beading in it, which could be better, but it's a change for them to actually put beading anywhere! Her accessories are beautifully detailed, especially her bangles. I love the fabric they used and the beautiful hand embroidery. Say what you will about how her fabric color doesn't exactly match, but these dolls were always reimagined to have a more historical look to them, so it makes sense why her fabric is darker than the movie. She looks like an beautiful Arabian princess. Good luck to everyone trying to get her!

Thank you so much for letting us know! Man, I can't wait to see her in person! How does she compare with the other dolls? Does she look more high quality than the March Frozen and Cinderella dolls?

Can't wait to see this doll! She sounds beautiful.
