DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
OMG, don't give them any ideas, lol. Seriously, I would die if they did a KH line... as would my budget!

Hahah yaay, more KH fans!!
It would be like a dream come ture, if they would make them, one day. Like wow! And yeah poor wallet. x'DD

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BAD I WANT KINGDOM HEARTS LE DOLLS OMG!!! Sora, Riku, and Kairi in their KH2 outfits would be amazing! It will never happen, but that would be my one wish if Disney ever was to ask me what LE dolls they should make.

But yeah I completely agree with everything you said. I really hope 2016 is the year Pocahontas and Mulan get their dolls. They are long overdue for the 17" doll treatment. I can't wait to see what Moana's doll looks like!

I know right!!
It would be so amazing if they did bring them to the line! Yes, my answer is the same as yours there!
Just bring them to us please, Disney we need them! Baadly, hehhe

I have also wanted to see them when i first saw those dolls back in 2011.
I was like omg, i need to see those dolls of Sora, Riku and Kairi someday! We can pray and cross our fingers!

Still nothing for me, seriously, everyone I know who ordered (both before and after me) has their emails already. Starting to worry a bit...

Meep! Have you manually checked your order on the website? Both my orders updated there several hours before the emails came. If it's been updated it'll have the tracking number down by the item in the item list.

Don't worry. I don't have blastoff mail for FF dolls either. Only got mail for DFDC Anna & Kristoff set which is still available:sad:?

Have you logged on and checked your order history? I have noticed two things: (1) either I get a blast-off email and the tracking is invalid or (2) I don't get a blast-off email and the tracking information is uploaded onto the order history when I log in. I never seem to get a valid tracking number in a blast-off email :P

I also ordered both FF dolls, and I haven't received any blastoff emails either and my Elsa is still "active" status...

Haha, I bought an extra Anna to debox that costs me about $260 including international shipping. After I saw someone deboxed Anna and the detail on her back is amazing, I decided to buy an extra to check it by myself.

I did the same thing, I also got an Anna for $220 including shipping, it most likely would have been cheaper to get them as a set, but I don't trust people to pack them properly when they come as a set. These are just so beautiful I have to debox them....I want to touch..lol :)

How long on average does it take Disney to dispatch items overseas? I'm in the UK and still haven't received a blast off email - starting to get worried!
Based on my experiences on the March release of 17 inch dolls this year, it would take 4-11 days to dispatch. I'm in China, so I think it should take less days to dispatch to UK.

You know I have been collecting since Ariel was released, and this is the first time I did not get a confirmation ever. It is difficult to be patient, now I know why some collectors pay the overnight shipping cost.

I live in Colorado too! :D

Anna and Elsa have not shipped yet (Shipping to Florida). But I did order the 28" Pooh and Piglet plush set right after I ordered the dolls. Those shipped today.

We'll see how things go with the dolls.

Isn't that Pooh and Piglet the most adorable ever? I too ordered it because of the friends and family discount and I had some reward points to put to them. I can't wait to see them either, I'm curious how they will arrive since there is that $5 extra shipping charge.

Rargh this is the worst part waiting sucks! I just worry because all my other dolls I for sure got shipping email and/or update on the website by now

I was worried too because like you I always got updates, seems not so much this time with these. It really dose seem Disney was overwhelmed with this release.

I collect both 12" and 17" dolls. The 17" dolls are Sold Out, but the 12" designer is still available? Do collectors like 17" more than 12" or is it just this set. Just wondering.

It really depends on the collector. I honestly think that people are out of money, we just had the villains designer. I think folks knew the 17" would be harder to get, so a lot are waiting to get the designer set when they have the funds. Plus this designer set doesn't come with a gift bag like the other sets did, so you kind of get less for your money.

disneymagic, The 17" do tend to be much more popular (I prefer them), but also, the edition size is smaller than the designer set by 1000 dolls. I am pretty surprised designer set is still available. There are a lot of things factoring in here, but I think a big part it's a financial issue. The set was released with the 17" dolls on the same day and following quite a few releases in the past couple of months. Collectors are strapped. I think if it was released as a stand alone, like say in February or March it would have sold out quicker. I think there is also the fact that this version really isn't that different from other previous releases. There is the troll garb added, but that's not entirely appealing to all as it's a bit drab (understandably so). Historically, collectors aren't crazy about drab colors. The dress has been done as that is sort of the iconic dress from the movie. It's nice, but it doesn't feel as special to me. I think people expect more from the designer sets. I can't help but feel a tiny bit disappointed when I compare this set to previous released sets in the series. I like it, but it doesn't hold up to the detail in comparison.

I don't know for sure, just my opinion on the matter. It's kind of a shame. The dolls are really cute, and I'm very happy to have my set, but I certainly wouldn't have picked it over FF 17" dolls if I had to do so. They are spectacularly well done.

Boy you can say that again, I hope Disney puts as much into their upcoming 17" LE dolls as they did with these.

It's funny, I hadn't thought about that, but mine actually did come with a bag (not that I care much as I have no idea what to do with another bag and could live without them altogether). It's a heros/villains bag, though. There was a new girl at the register and I heard the manager tell her not to take the time to put the set in the bag, so it seems everyone at that store got one. I hadn't really thought about that aspect before, but this set didn't get any of the additional merchandise the prior sets had, like the journals, cups and so on. I guess it wouldn't really make sense for them to spend the money on it for one set.
