I genuinely do think a new LE Cinderella will emerge, probably a lot closer to the release of the movie than the slipper and other LE items though. And I also believe she will look much better than the original Cinderella and incorporate a lot of the beautiful designs from both her original classic and this new film. In my personal opinion, the only LE Cinderella so far totally doesn't do the character justice and in the past Disney has taken note of fan response.

And I totally agree with you that it's weird, like really weird, that Disney pretty much out-of-the-blue announced this set. At least they are giving people more than two days now to prepare for such bombshells (if the wait-until-next-month plan they started with Designer Fawn and continued with this new Frozen set will stick, that is). At this rate I only want to buy the Anna from this set; I do like Elsa and Kristoff to some extent, but after seeing what Elsa COULD look like (Snow Queen Elsa is just beautiful!), the not-so-secret possibility of the set based on Frozen Fever, the Aladdin dolls in October, and the possible Cruella, Cinderella, and Hans in the mix, it's just a lot safer to sit those two out, especially if the Cinderella will look as stunning as I'm dreaming she'll be!

you guys wanna know what's gonna happen?

In October/November, Disney will re-release Frozen on Blu-Ray with more special features including Frozen Fever. When this re-release happens, they will also release the Frozen Fever Dolls and Hans and Mountain Kristoff.

Then later on, Disney will release a "Do you wanna build a snowman" set with baby Anna and Elsa separated by a piece of cardboard in one big box.
Then around christmas time, they will release a commemorative Frozen doll set.

Due to the success of Frozen Fever, they have decided to make one more short called Frozen Fun! Where they celebrate Olaf's birthday. Then they will release Anna in her teenage outfit and possibly her PJs with messy hair.

Then a few months after, they will re-release Frozen on Ultra HD blu-ray (4K) with the two shorts and the new dressed up LE dolls of Anna and Elsa from that Olaf short.
 

Don't forget there is a D23 Expo this year. There will probably be a special gold and silver Elsa and Anna set for that too. Seriously, I don't think you are too far off the mark about more film shorts. I just read an article yesterday saying Disney had plans for several more Frozen shorts as well as a sequel.

I am a huge Frozen fan, but this is getting tiresome. I want dolls of other characters.

Thing is, I know I am still going to buy these dolls. They're okay and in person they might be lovely, they are just not what I was expecting. I've only been collecting for a year and am finding it so hard to get the old releases I like (which is now impossible as every time you turn around there is a new release; I never have time to save!) -- that I just can't bring myself to pass up any of the new releases out of fear that I will regret it. I'd rather buy now and think later. LOL. I figure if I change my mind I can always resell any doll for at least retail and get my money back. That's better than not getting the doll new at retail and then having to pay three times as much for an old, used half-damaged doll later. I have all of the Frozen dolls except Coronation Anna and I'm still mad at myself for not getting her when she was at the $300-$400 mark.

Im just hoping one day for any type of Hercules and Meg doll. Classic, LE, Designer, whatever. I just want something of two of my favorite characters if they are going to pull out frozen this long.

I agree with both of you 100%. I mean, I expected Disney to make two dolls of Anna and Elsa in the Frozen Fever outfits and I kind of expected a Kristoff doll and then I figured they would stop after that. But as soon as I seen that Anna and Elsa were in outfits they wore for only a few minutes in the original film, it became clear to me that Disney plans on milking as many dolls out of Frozen as possible. There will undoubtedly be more dolls in the future of them in the Frozen Fever outfits.

I know that I have been the big old scrooge when it comes to talking and complaining about the Frozen dolls, but I don't mean to be. I really do love Frozen and its characters and I think the dolls we are getting are gorgeous (I still want to see a Designer Frozen doll). I also understand that when your film is one of the highest grossing films of all time, you would want to get as much money out of it as possible. But do we really need SEVEN Frozen dolls plus the very high possibility of more in the future? Some characters don't even have one! Where the heck are my Big Hero 6 and Mulan dolls that I have been patiently waiting for?
 
They should lower the LE size of the new Frozen dolls, but then again, since it only costs Disney $5 to make (and they sell for $120), with 5000 sold, they make $575,000 in one swoop
 
I was gonna say.. I wouldn't be complaining if they weren't asking for the prices.

Anna I can see being worth $130
But Kristoff? Maybe $90

Elsa.... $60, if not $40... She is grossly overpriced.
 
I feel anger too. While im somewhat ok with the anna and kristoff that elsa IS NOT OK! she wore that outfit for like 2 and a half seconds! They skipped cruella for this?! Really disappointed. Im thinking by the endof it there will be a minimum of 5 elsa and annas. At the end of it its all about Disney making its money and they will. I just wish they give other charcaters a chance. The number of frozen dolls dominate the le line as it is not to mention what they will do with the designers when its time .
 
I know some people are worried that a Hans or Cinderella doll won't happen, but I wouldn't worry too much. If Cinderella happens, which is likely, we wont hear about her till closer to the films theatrical release. Hans is considered a villain, and almost all of the villain dolls have been surprise releases, so it is very likely that he will be revealed closer to the release of these dolls. Radio Disney Club hasn't failed us yet! They know that the Frozen dolls are really popular, so they probably wanted to reveal them earlier to increase hype.
 
Disney's clearly doing all they can to cash out on Frozen, I agree, but as long as we keep buying the dolls, they're just going to keep doing it. If the Frozen merchandise didn't sell, they'd stop and move on to the next doll on the list. For now, we still have 2 more years to go before Moana comes out and Disney moves on to the next princess craze.
 

To be perfectly honest, I expect Disney to promote Moana as well as they did Princess and the Frog. I do think the hype for Frozen will die down by the time Moana comes out but I don't know if Moana will be as popular as Frozen. Disney doesn't do the best job promoting its film with People of Color leads... Look at how little merch Big Hero 6 has gotten. it was overshadowed by Frozen.
 
It's not like everyone wants every LE doll and there are thousands and thousands of fans of them.. So I'm sure there will be a new Cinderella released for the movie. They know these things sell well so why not?
 
Wow so many thoughts! mix feelings about the Frozen fever outfits, I like a little more Anna's over Elsa's so was also waiting to see how their LE dolls would turn out. Surprised by this new LE dolls, a good surprise, loving them. I really really really like Frozen so it makes me very happy to have the chance to own my favorite characters in different outfits show casing their personalities. Elsa wears this outfit/design through out her childhood up to the lost of her parents (do you want to build a snowman). This is her conceal look & I hope I can add this side of her to my collection. I would have like Anna to match Elsa with her growing up outfit (which is still the same design) just so they would be in the same timeline. But it doesn't bother me Disney went with her ending outfit (she had to match Kristoff) To me Annas outfits resemble each other because she knows who she is unlike Elsa who needed to find herself (if that makes sense) As for Kristoff happy they made him (their 1st kiss outfits) I think his likeness is closer than the other Princes. Mandolin! hope is like the movie one from the back wanted one for my 12" Kristoff but just couldn't find the right shape of it. I still need him in his ice outfit though, my winter Anna needs him lol. Love love all the little details of this dolls. Been wanting a doll(s) with tinsels, yay! Don't have any of the previous ones that do. Crazy! I just hope if Disney releases LE Frozen Fever (outfits) dolls they'll at least space them out :/. And Aladdin dolls ahhhh I want them too!
 
Kind of torn on these - I really like how Anna looks, as I love that dress on her anyway - only complaint is her hair, why tinsel? There's also I wasn't able to purchase any of the previous Frozen LE dolls...hm, not sure whether I should buy now or wait for the next set.

Also agreed on that they're making WAY too many Frozen dolls. Where's Wendy, Mulan, Pocahontas, Cruella, etc.?

I want all of these. I'm very upset we didn't get a Cruella with the 101 Dalmations release. If they can make Frozen in every possible incarnation then I would like Belle in her peasant and winter outfits and Tiana in her blue dress please. I also want a Jane from Tarzan, a 17" Evil Queen, and the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio. And if they're going to start making LE dolls based on live action movies, I would love a Mary Poppins doll. Of course, none of this is ever going to happen, but I can still daydream...
 
The new frozen dolls are not perfect but I love them. I wish it is not impossible for me to get all three of them from DS.com...
 
I am a bit disappointed that Elsa didn't get her green dress but I will still pick her and Anna up since I missed both of the previous sets. If they do eventually release Frozen Fever LE dolls then I will pick them up as well. I can't wait to see the Aladdin dolls since it's one of my favorite disney films
 
I can't wait to see the Aladdin dolls either - its going to be an expensive year for those completists amongst us! I'm kind of glad I'm limited for space so therefore only getting dolls I REALLY want. But man that is hard!
 

I'm really upset about Cruella too. I don't even own any villains dolls yet (they're all pretty expensive on the secondhand market given their smaller edition sizes and everything), but I would have considered starting if a 17'' Cruella surfaced.

For me, the real problem isn't that they've made 3 separate versions of Anna and Elsa, but they haven't done it for any of the other dolls! Alice I can understand, since she only wears the one dress through her entire movie, but all the other princesses could have had at least one other version made (my wish list includes a Belle in her blue town outfit, Cinderella in her original wedding dress with well-made glass slippers, and Jasmine in her purple outfit I highly doubt DS will choose to make this year). Not to mention all the non-princess heroines; where's Anita, Jane, and Megara? Or villains (all the villains; after Prince Phillip Disney proved they CAN make a good-looking princely LE doll) in different outfits?

Please, no one throw Frozen under the bus just because Anna and Elsa are getting multiple outfits. That's what DS frankly should have been doing with all the characters all along. At least they have a chance to give Cinderella a do-over from her 2012 design (worst design in the collection, sadly) and maybe, possibly, HOPEFULLY create a Prince Charming to go with her.
 
I don't care if they make a billion Frozen dolls. But I still want other characters to get LE dolls
 
I really don't no if to get these it depends what their box looks like and how they look packaged. I mean I didn't want Maleficent but then saw the boxed pic and fell in love!! How long before release do we usually see the packaging? I really hope Elsa's hair is less golden in person.
 

I figured we would see pictures in their boxes near the release date. I know we seen the Sleeping Beauty dolls in their boxes around a day or two before they hit stores.
 

I know, I want to see them in the boxes. That sometimes makes such a huge difference, and I'm also pretty sure they're going to look a lot better in person.
